Three game weeks of this season have been completed and the controversial handball rule is the talk of the town. While it is infuriating to us as a supporter, it can be delightful for the penalty taker in your team, especially if it’s your captain. The fixtures are looking good and the goals have been pouring in. There has been a hattrick in the previous 3 GW and hopefully, it is our captain that scores the hattrick and gives us a big ranking boost. Here are our captain choices for FPL GW 4.
FPL GW 4 Captaincy Poll from our twitter page:
FPL GW 4 Captain Picks:
1. Dominic Calvert Lewin vs Brighton (H) £7.5, TSB 39.6%
What a season this man is having! He had a slump in form towards the end of last season but looks like a different player now. With 5 goals already in 3 games, he’s not only scored in every game but he’s also scored a hattrick.
DCL Stats so far: Goals:5(Highest) Shots: 12(Second Highest amongst forwards) Shots on Target:7(Highest across all positions) Big Chances: 5(Highest across all positions) xG: 2.75(Highest across all positions) FPL points: 31 (Second Highest in FPL)
He scored a mid-week EFL hattrick too where his strike partner Richarlison got injured. DCL also has 5 bonus points and looks like a Bonus Point magnet. We expect DCL to lead the way for his team and get in points for us FPL mangers.

2. Kevin De Bruyne vs Leeds United (A) £11.6, TSB:43.5%
Last season’s top-scoring FPL player, KDB got off to a good start having bagged 13 points against wolves in GW2 but he did blank against Leicester city as Man city suffered a shocking defeat. So far this season KDB has played higher up the pitch in an advanced role much to the delight for us FPL managers. KDB in fact won the penalty against wolves and successfully converted the same, he doesn’t seem to miss anytime soon!
Playing for one of the most attacking teams on the country in a number 10 role and on penalties makes KDB a dream FPL asset and the safest FPL GW 4 Captain choice. He’s up against a Leeds United side who are known to play attacking football leaving huge pockets of space to exploit. Their 50 shots conceded(3rd Worst) in the opening three games is a big indicator the same. Man City and KDB will look to exploit the same and bounce back to winning ways.
Stat attack: Last season City lost 9 games all season and went on to win each game after their loss scoring 31 goals from 9 games averaging 3.44 goals/game the next game after a loss. The Leeds game screams goals and there is no better option than KDB to captain in FPL GW 4.

3. Danny Ings vs WBA (H) £8.4, TSB 20.5%
Danny Ings had a memorable season last year and has also started off well this year, scoring three goals in three. Southampton did not have the start that they wanted but the team is picking up some form with a win over Burnley and are facing West Brom who have been one of the most defensively weak sides in the league.
Danny Ings Stats so far this season: Goals:3 Shots: 6 Shots on Target:5 Big Chances: 3 xG: 2.04 FPL points: 22
West Brom have conceded 11 goals against them in 3 games, with an average of 3.67 per game. This number is very reassuring for the Southampton attack and for Danny Ings who is a very clinical finisher. Ings is also on penalties which makes him an even more exciting FPL asset and a captain choice for FPL GW 4.

4. Jimenez vs Fulham (H) £8.6, TSB 8.6%
Wolves had a poor showing against West Ham and Jimenez bagged a very depressing total of 0 points as he scored a goal but in his own net. Wolves face Fulham next who are again one of the most defensively susceptible teams in the league and this should give Wolves some confidence.
Jimenez has scored 2 goals in 3 games which include teams like City and Sheffield. Just like Ings, he is also on penalties for Wolves. Jimenez is a bonus point magnet for the team and the captain double multiplier would most suit him. Fulham are also facing a mini injury crisis with a lot of their players injured and faced a humiliating 3-0 defeat midweek against Brentford in the carabao cup.

5. Mo Salah vs Aston Villa (A) £12.2, TSB 39.4%
Salah doesn’t need explanation and has FPL royalty, he’s automatically a great captain choice for managers. No big fuss. Trust salah and he never disappoints. He has scored 3 goals and an assist in the opening three games.
Salah so far this season Goals:3 Assists: 1 Shots: 17 Shots inside the box: 13 Shots on Target:5 Big Chances: 2 xG: 2.32 Key passes: 11 BCC: 1 xA: 1.31 Bonus: 3 FPL points: 28 Touches in penalty box: 35
Salah looks rejuvenated and is hungry for more goals. He’s the highest amongst shots taken on goal, shots inside the box, touches inside the box and the goals should keep coming. He’s also has a great chance of winning a penalty and he also takes it amplifying his chances of a return. Mane is out having tested positive for COVID-19 and salah’s number without mane is interesting as well, in the six games without mane last season Salah has scored seven goals and four assists!
Also, it is a popular misconception that salah doesn’t perform well away from home. All in All he’s a great captain choice for FPL GW 4.
We wish Mane a speedy recovery and hope that he’s back soon.

Few other hot FPL GW 4 Captain picks to consider:
Sterling (A) vs Leeds TSB 6.1%, it is rare that a player of his caliber is also available as a differential option! We know what Sterling can do, and although he is played out of position as a striker, he can still inflict damage and managed to score 2 from the center in midweek’s EFL cup tie. Although he has only 1 assist to his name from the last 2 games, the goals will go through him playing as a striker and his ownership is what makes him a juicier option than his teammate Kevin De Bruyne.
