Less than 24 hours separate the last game in GW33+ and GW34+ deadline. This is not only a hectic schedule for the FPL managers, but also for the players themselves. In this blog, we will take you through how much rest each team have between GW33+ and FPL GW34+ and provide key takeaways, valuable FPL tips for GW34+.
Rest Time(mins) between GW33+ and GW34+ :
Key Takeaways from this data:
1. Expect no rotation and no dip in form from Manchester United:
Manchester United have the highest rest time of all teams from GW33+ and GW34+ with 7380 minutes of rest time. This data suggests that Ole won’t make changes to his starting 11 with European place at stake. Greenwood(4.5) who has 3 goals, 2 assists, 25 points from the last two games is also expected to start again in GW34+ due to the recovery time. Ole wouldn’t take a big risk by playing in Daniel James(his direct replacement), who has last scored in GW4 and returned points in GW20.
Manchester United stand 2nd highest for big chances and goals scored(12) since restart only behind Manchester City. Expect big names Rashford(9.1), Martial(8.3), Fernandes(8.9), who have combined to accumulate 35 points in the last game to start again and continue their excellent form.
2. Have an eye on Southampton Assets:
Before you begin to wonder whether this data makes sense or not, consider this. Southampton had a rest period of 10080 minutes before playing Manchester City who in turn had just 4140 minutes of rest. This was one of the key reason for Saints win over City as they were fresh, pressed better and attacked more.
Southampton(5580 mins of rest) take on Everton(4080 mins of rest) in FPL GW34+ . Everton played Spurs on the last game of GW33+. Southampton would love to take advantage of this again. Amstrong(who averages more than 5 points/game since restart, Redmond(6.2) are both great options for GW34+ and even beyond. This is because they run into Brighton, Bournemouth and Sheffield for the last three games after playing Manchester United on GW35+.

3. Trust Wolves defense:
Wolves defense have suddenly come under the hammer after conceding 2 goals against Arsenal. But Wolves(5700 min rest) take on Sheffield(4560 mins rest) in GW34+. To put in simple phrases, its a clash between two teams with the highest xGA(Sheffield-8.34) and lowest xGA(Wolves- 2.19) since the restart. It would be a foolish move to remove/bench Wolves defenders for GW34+ who have kept 7 clean sheets in the last 9 games.

Don’t expect Liverpool to have a cakewalk against Brighton come GW34+
Liverpool(4440 mins rest) take on Brighton(6120 mins rest) in GW34+. This seems to be an easy game for Liverpool on paper. Brighton have enough time to recover and put their best team to ensure safety. Brighton have the 4th best xGA(2.96), the least big chances conceded since restart after playing Leicester, United and Arsenal.
Liverpool on the other hand does not look convincing since the restart. Key players- Salah(12.6), Mane(12.4) may well be rotated for this fixture with just 4000 mins of rest compared to Brighton’s 6120 minutes. Liverpool may win this fixture but don’t expect them to wreck havoc.
