Tanguy Ndombele can help Quique Sentien’s side despite his difficult first season in the Premier League.
French midfielder Ndombele has completed just one 90-minute match since Mourinho succeeded Mauricio Pochettino as Tottenham boss.
Barcelona are pondering over securing the services of Spurs midfielder Tanguy Ndombele.
According to reports in Spain, the Balugranas have offered players to Tottenham as they hope to strike a part-exchange deal for the 23-year-old.
The France midfield ace joined the Lilywhites last summer from Ligue 1 club Lyon for a reported deal of 60m euros (£53.8m), but he hasn’t lived up to expectation.
It is believed that the LaLiga defending champions are looking to bolster their midfield with more physical players, and reckon Spurs’ record signing is the ideal candidate to do so.
Ndombele may see this as a chance to leave his current club after completing just one 90-minute match since Mourinho replaced Mauricio Pochettino as Spurs boss last November.
Tanguy Ndombele to Barca?
According to Sky Sports, Los Cules can’t afford to buy Ndombele due to the financial impact of the COVID-19 crisis, so they have offered the north London side the chance to sign centre-half Samuel Umtiti and right-back Nelson Semedo.
Arthur, who has been linked with Spurs, has said on occasions that he is keen on continuing his career at the Camp Nou, and Barca have shown they still value him, having recently knocked back interest from Serie A club Inter Milan.
Tottenham are looking to sign a new right-back and a centre-back when the transfer window reopens, but we do not know whether Mourinho would fancy adding either Umtiti or Semedo to his squad.
Umtiti, who has often been linked with a move to Manchester United, has had brilliant spells since joining Barca in 2016 but his career at the Nou Camp has been hampered by injuries.
Portugual international Semedo became a more regular player this term but has also been offered to the Nerazzurri, who are eager to secure his services in the next transfer window.
