As we approach the final third of the 2019/20 FPL season, it is very crucial to get our captain picks right. Last week proved to be a delight for those who captained Mo salah as the Liverpool attacker bagging a whopping 32 points, Especially with the GW average being just 47 points. FPL GW 26 is spread across two weeks over the winter break, and it is really important to get your captain picks right and get those green arrows.
Here is out 5 Captain picks for FPL GW 26:
- Mo Salah vs Norwich City (A)😍
- Danny Ings vs Burnley (H)🔥
- Sergio Aguero vs West Ham United (H)⚽⚽⚽
- Troy Deeney vs Brighton (A) Differential pick👀
- Lucas Digne (A) Ultra Differential Pick😎
1. Mo Salah vs Norwich City (A) TSB:43.7%
Salah has been on sensational form over the last few game weeks, with the Liverpool attacker scoring 4 goals and 2 assists in the last 5 game weeks. Salah faces a Norwich side languishing in the bottom of the table having conceded 47 goals which is the worst defensive record this season. Salah has created 12 chances including 6 big chances making him a strong captain choice for FPL GW 26.
2. Sergio Aguero vs West Ham United (H) TSB: 23.8%
Aguero was unlucky not to score against Spurs and will be looking to go all guns blazing against a west ham defense who conceded three goals against Brighton last week. This FPL GW 26 fixture is the repeat of GW 1 where city scored 5 goals. Aguero likes scoring against the hammers having registered 10 goals against the west London team in PL. City have scored a whopping 28 goals in the last 8 games against west ham and will look to come back strongly following a defeat to spurs in GW 25. If you’re concerned by Pep’s rotation and fear that Aguero might not start, you can go for Mahrez as well who’s definitely expected to start following sterling’s injury.
GW 26 differential picks: Mahrez
3. Danny Ings vs Burnley (H) TSB:28.9%
Danny Ings has been in sensational form over the last couple of months with the Southampton forward already scoring 14 goals so far this season. Ings is up against a Burnley side who have kept three consecutive CS against Arsenal, Man United and Leicester. But an underlying stat is that Burnley have conceded the most shots in the last four games and have been helped to clean sheets thanks to Pope’s brilliance and some extremely poor finishing. Meanwhile, ings looked lively against Liverpool and scored midweek against Spurs and would be looking to continue to bag a couple of goals against his former club.
4. Lucas Digne vs Crystal Palace (H) TSB: 13%
You’ll be probably surprised by looking at Digne’s name mentioned here! but look further below!
Dinge and Everton are up against a Crystal Palace side who been very poor having registered just 4 points from their last 6 games which is the worst in the league and have not defeated Everton in their ten previous meetings failing to score in their last 3 meetings. Everton meanwhile have lost once in their last 8 home games and are third in form table over the last 6 games making Digne a solid differential captain option due to a higher possibility of attacking and defensive returns.
Richarlison and DCL could also be very good captain options!
5. Troy Deeney vs Brighton (A) TSB: 2.3%
Deeney has been a revelation ever since Nigel Pearson took over and is up against Brighton who have won once in their last 10 games and have only kept 1 clean sheet in their last 14 games and yet to register a victory in 2020 making Deeney is still owned by just 2.3% managers making him a solid differential captain option and also doesn’t blank in GW 28 bad GW 31.
