As we near the fag end of the season, its time to play wise but it’s the perfect time to take gambles if you have a huge deficit in your FPL mini leagues. Spread across two weekends, FPL GW26 promises to be a cracker of a Gameweek for FPL managers. Check out this blog for FPL GW26 tips, differentials picks and much more.
FPL GW26 Forwards:
Troy Deeney vs Brighton(A), Price: 6.3, TSB:2.3%
Watford’s recent form have been a bit hampered by the more recent form due to the back-to-back defeats they suffered. Deeney and Watford would want to overturn their this in fashion. Brighton is the team they would like to face as Brighton is one of the few sides to yet to win in 2020. So expect the Deeney-Deloufeu combination to strike and they will be among the points. Deeney is the perfect one week punt if you are looking for one.
Deeney in numbers:
- 16 shots and 13 chances created in the last six Gameweeks.
- xG(Non-Penalty) of 1.88 in the last four weeks.
- 157 minutes per goal contribution in his remarkable Watford career- Underrated.
- Brighton have won only one in their last 10 games and have only one cleansheet in the last 14 games.( Stat courtesy : FFTitans)
FPL GW26 Midfielders:
Heung-Min Son vs Aston Villa(A),Price: 10.0,TSB: 9.2%
Jose Mourinho’s masterclass earned Spurs a deserved victory over the champions last week. They didn’t have good numbers for shots and attempts but still managed to win 2-0. But come next Sunday when take on Villa, you can expect big numbers from Spurs and Son. He can also be your potential differential captain for this GW.
Villa’s Defensive woes:
- xGA of 51.73 this season- Worst in the League.
- NPxGA of 49.45 this season- Worst in the League.
- On target shots conceded of 5.70- Second Worst in the league.
- xGC of 2.30 this season – Worst in the league.
Riyad Mahrez vs West Ham(H),Price: 8.5,TSB: 8.9%
Going into FPL GW26 without a Manchester City attacking asset is ill-advised. City are expected to pile up the goals against the Hammers who are struggling defensively. Some stats suggest that City score almost the twice the number of goals when Sterling is not playing! And yeah, Sterling is injured and Mahrez-Aguero-Jesus is the expected front three! So,expect goals to galore 🙂
Stat attack:
- Most goals from outside the box in Premier league since 2017/18.
- 14 points and 3 assists in the reverse fixture this season.
- West Ham have conceded 9 goals in their last three games.
- West Ham conceded three against an out of form Brighton side last week.
John Fleck vs Bournemouth(H),Price:5.1, TSB:6.3%
Shouldn’t be writing his as a differential pick if not for the price and the ownership. Shocking to see such a consistent player to with very less ownership and great fixtures. Sheffield have a blank on GW28, but for the price he comes you could easily rotate him out. Sheffield are in with European aspirations and expect Fleck to be among points in the next two weeks.
Fleck in numbers:
- 4/5 goals and 2/2 assists in home games.
- 51 points in last seven home games.
- Most shots and second most chances created for Sheffield this season.
FPL GW26 Defenders:
Ryan Bertrand vs Burnley(H),Price: 4.8, TSB: 0.7%
Southampton have improved their form at the back massively in the recent weeks and are expected to keep a clean sheet against the struggling Burnley. Bertrand is not a one week punt as he has a set of tremendous set of fixtures coming up. Link up with Redmond(6.2) on the left is expected to cause havoc in the coming weeks.
Key points :
- Perfect budget replacement for Lord Lundstram.
- xA of 1.00 in the last one month- Fifth highest among defenders.
- Exciting set of fixtures coming up.
- Expected to be among the points in atleast three of the next 5 GW’s.
