We can all rejoice that the premier league is back after a rather exciting midweek football from the Carabao Cup. It was an eventful cup tie and one that can influence this Gameweek. A lot of the top teams played and there will definitely be a selection dilemma for us when it comes to picking teams. It is very essential to pick players who will definitely play this week and hopefully not a lot of important players are rested. There will definitely be a selection dilemma for us when it comes to picking teams. It is very essential to pick players ahead of Game week 11 who will definitely play this week and hopefully not a lot of important players are rested.
1.Raheem Sterling vs Southampton
Raheem Sterling has had a hand in 8 goals this season including scoring 7 of them! He had a blistering start to the season but surprisingly failed to return points in a couple of matches. Nonetheless, He is almost a sure starter this game week against Saints and as was absent in the fixture between these two teams in the League cup. He plays the furthest upfield and can be very lethal against a struggling Southampton team. His expected goals+assist rate is at a whopping 0.99 per 90minutes and will be a widely picked choice for captain. His teammate Kevin De Bruyne is also a good and a safe shout out to be the captain in Game week 11.
2.Tammy Abraham vs Watford:
Frank Lampard’s trust in the Chelsea Youth is very evident and the youngsters are doing very well with it. They play very good attacking football and with their young Striker in Tammy Abraham, they are proving to be a trouble to a lot of defenses in the league. He has 8 goals and 1 assist but it is important to remember that 7 of those goals came in the space of 3 games. Nevertheless, he’s been looking really dangerous and a very solid Captain. His expected goals+assists per 90 are at 0.79 per 90 mins and these are very reliable numbers to support his captaincy for Game week 11.
3.Anthony Martial vs Bournemouth:
United have shown some promise since the match against Liverpool and with Martial back playing in his preferred position, he can be counted upon to return a lot of points in Game week 11. We all know what he’s capable of and how dangerous he looked during the start of OGS era and an added advantage to us FPL managers is that he is listed as a midfielder and is playing out of position as a striker and now has a lot of attacking chances and we make use of those extra points. Bournemouth has been very weak defensively and with Rashford and James with movement on the wings, Martial can benefit with some good service and chances.
4.Sadio Mane vs Aston Villa:
With Salah returning from a mild injury, Klopp would be reluctant to play him as he will need his star winger fit for the really hectic schedule Liverpool to face in December. Mane has been really good this season and has looked more clinical at times. He’ll definitely be the one to look out against Aston Villa away from Home. He has 5 goals and 3 assists and will be looking to increase his tally.
5.Raul Jimenez vs Arsenal:
The Mexican is owned by over 10% of the managers this season and Wolves have been a little lackluster compared to the last season, yet they are not without a fight. Jiminez is a key part of their attack and the team was famous for being a giant killer last season, with really good results against the top 6 teams and glimpses was shown this season too with a shock win against the defending champions. He has 3 goals and 2 assists and will try to capitalize on the inconsistent Arsenal defense to increase his numbers come Game week 11.
Thanks for reading the blog. Gameweek deadline: Saturday, 5 P.M IST.
Good luck for the game week
