Captain Pick Gameweek 8

It’s here lads, yet another gameweek and with the table starting to shape up, here is our allaboutfpl captain’s pick for this weekend.

Aubameyang (ARS) 11.0 million

Arsenal’s Talisman has been attacking really well this season and has 7 goals in 7 games and has never failed to return in a single game! Arsenal have a favorable run of fixtures and Bournemouth haven’t been defensively good all season having conceded 12 goals. Bukayo Saka has looked good for Arsenal and with Nicolas Pepe, there is plenty of potential service for Auba and Auba can he even turn the provider for them which surely will guarantee in some juicy points and him being a bonus points magnet will definitely make his owners happy

Sterling (MCI) 12.1 million

Wolves haven’t started their season like last year’s and are struggling .They have only maintained 2 Clean Sheets and have conceded 11 and are up against an explosive City side who have scored a whopping 27 goals till now. Raheem Sterling’s average position is the furthest of all city players and having not started in the CL fixture against Dinamo Zagreb, he’ll be a sure starter. With a Potential De Bruyne absence due to injury, City will look upto Sterling to give attacking returns and he has not dissapointed this season with 6 goals untill now and he also had the most touches in the opponents box (14) among midfielders. His expected goals per 90 is 0.78 and it’s a great number to trust and rely upon

Son (TOT) 9.7 million

Image

Tottenham haven’t been in the greatest of forms this season and is clearly shown in the results of the team. They are scoring too less and conceding a lot more. Heung-Min-Son is a man who’s looked well in that Spurs side with returns in the 4 previous Gameweeks.  He’s playing further forward than Harry Kane and with Brighton not really firing on all cylinders this season have looked week and are on a dangerous place in the table at 16th. Both teams will look to fight and Spurs will look to take advantage with Son at the helm. His average shots per 90 mins (3.66) is more than Harry Kane (3.3) and is also expected to assist more.

Pukki (NOR) 7.2 million

Image

Teemu Pukki hasn’t had any attacking returns for 2 GW’s now but we all remember the form he was in and what he’s capable of. Aston Villa have conceded 13 goals till now and with just 1 point seperating Nowich and them, Pukki will be relied upon to score goals and win them the game. He’s had 6 goals and 2 assists and has played a hand in all but 1 Norwich goal! He has had 12 big chances and 15 shots on target this season and can be deadly

Differential Pick for the week

Callum Wilson (BOU) 7.9 million

Image

This will seem like a bold choice but we have to remember that even Arsenal have their problems in defence and Callum Wilson will look to exploit that. His attacking returns and form have gone under the radar and even with attacking returns every GW, his valuation has fallen down by 0.2 million and being owned by just 11.8% of managers, he’s a bold but a highly dependent differential pick. With 5 goals and 3 assists, he’s 5th in points among attackers and has potential to grow more! He has the highest rate of key passes per 90mins (1.46) in the team and can create chances too.
