It was like GW1 was just a couple of weeks ago but here we are facing the GW10 deadline with FPL managers desperately waiting to change their fortunes following two poor gameweeks, with the festive period coming up it’s going to be fun ride and you simply cannot afford to miss out.
Another reminder it’s a friday night deadline with southampton taking on leicester city, so if you’re reading this late then you guys better hurry up, clock is ticking!
With the deadline on friday night it adds to the confusion and tension, but relax we have got this covered for you let us look into the five captain picks for GW10.
GW 10 CAPTAIN PICKS
- Kevin De bruyne
- Mo Salah
- Raul Jimenez
- Callum Wilson
- Aubameyang
1.KEVIN DE BRUYNE FIX: ASTON VILLA(H), TSB-36.2%:
It was quite odd that KDB did not have any attacking return against crystal palace last week, which is quite rare considering the form the belgian wizard is displaying this season.
Having been rested in the midweek champions league fixture, KDB should be fresh and ready to be unleashed on a dodgy villa defense who have conceded the most shots on goal this season, KDB has been in excellent form at home this season with 41 points in the three home games so far this season that includes 2 goals, 5 assists earning 8 bonus points out of the 9 possible in the process.
With question marks over whom pep will start upfront, KDB looks like the safest bet if you’re looking to captain a Man city attacker!
2.MO SALAH FIX: SPURS(H), TSB-30.6%:
Mo salah has gone cold this season after a good start to the season, having not scored since GW3 and his last attacking return was against chelsea in GW 5 which is quite a long time, but the liverpool winger is now back from the injury that has kept him out for quite a bit of time and scored one and assisted one against genk in the midweek champions league fixture
Interesting numbers is that salah had an average start to the 2018/19 season as well but picked up momentum in the GW9-16 period where he scored 7 goals and assisted three earning 69 points in the process more than double what mane managed in the same period(33). We expect that salah will be backfiring to reward his managers.
3.RAUL JIMENEZ FIX:NEW(A), TSB-10%:
Coming at just 7.1 mil, the wolves could be the differential forward you might be looking ahead of GW 10, with a goal and two assists in the last two matches jimenez could well be on for a haul against newcastle, with some great fixtures coming up as well raul could be the perfect replacement if you’re looking to remove pukki/barnes from your teams.
4.CALLUM WILSON FIX: WAT(A) TSB-14.3%:
It is can be said with high confidence that Callum Wilson after he came back for the continuous injury patch has been one of the best strikers of the league be it hold up play or being the fox in the box. He has excelled at everything and been a huge asset for the for the Cherries. Coming at a price of 7.9 million he is one of the best budget friendly strikers this season. This gameweek he has great chance of improving his tally as Eddie Howe’s men face the likes of Watford who sit struggling at the bottom of the table and the managerial change has seem to make the effect they expected.
Wilson has been involved in 28 goals in the last 39 games in the premier league for Bournemouth, netting 19 and setting up 9.
5.PIERRE EMERICK AUBAMEYANG FIX:CRYSTAL PALACE(H) TSB-28.9%
The Gabonese and Arsenal might not be having the best form away from home, but the run of favorable fixtures keeps making Aubama-Blood-Clot-Yang one of the favorites for the captain picks this week.
Unai Emery’s men face Crystal Palace at home and this game will definitely have goals in it and Arsenal’s best bet to put the ball into the net in Aubameyang. With the return of Alex Lacazette he might be pushed to the left hand side. But, he has proved that he is equally effective in both left and up top. Most of clinical performances have come from the left hand side.
Aubameyang has scored 32 of his 39 goals on his right foot, so we say that drifting in from the left and placing the ball into the net is not something new for the Gabonese.
