The final GW is here. It has been another exciting FPL season. There have been a lot of ups and downās this season. But it all comes down this final GW for a lot of managers. Itās now or never time in FPL right now especially in mini-leagues. Itās the time to make audacious moves to have a crack at the top if you are very far behind. Players with less ownership(TSB) are the key to make this progress. So for the final time this season, we have picked out 5 players to watch out for who could help you climb up in your leagues.Ā So check out ourĀ FPL GW 38+ differential picksĀ to know who could haul you points this week.
How did our differential picks fare in FPL GW37+?
4/5 Picks including Wood, Kane, Tarkowski, and Doherty returning with only Armstrong didnāt return to make it 5/5.
FPL GW 38+ Differential picks
FPL GW 38+ Midfielders:
Riyad Mahrez(8.6) vs Norwich City, TSB: 10.1%
Mahrez may look really low-key this week compared to the other midfield stars in KDB, Sterling and Silva. But if you are chasing a big gap in your mini-leagues, Mahrez is the differential you need to hang on to. Mahrez didnāt start in GW36+ and GW37+, and looks to be the most fresh City starter. Mahrez has always delivered when he starts- 3 goals, 4 assists , 50 points from his last 7 starts, averaging 7.14 points per start. We expect him to start and create havoc against a Norwich side and looks to the differential 3rd City player you are searching for.
Riyad Mahrez vs KDB in numbers:
- Mahrez- xG90 of 0.57 compared to De Bruyne(0.45) since restart
- Mahrez xG of 3.28 vs KDB(2.73) since restart despite Mahrez playing less minutes.
- Much higher points per 90 mins throughout the season- Mahrez(7.90), De Bruyne(7.73)
David Silva vs Norwich (H), Price- 7.5m, TSB- 8.0 %
FPL GW38 could be the last time we see Silva in the City shirt especially in the Premier League. A goal contribution would be the best way for him to say farewell to the City fans and the Premier League. Since restart, he has started 5 games and has managed to provide 44 points in these games with 3 goals and 3 assists.
He is coming up against Norwich City who are not only relegated, they are also the team who have conceded the most number of goals this season (70). Manchester City are leading in the number of goals scored in PL this season with 97 goals. With Pep aiming for that 100 goal record this match would be the perfect fixture for David Silva to say farewell. Silva will surely be on set-pieces and penalties in his last game.

Silva in numbers:
- 39 points from last three home starts, averaging 13 points per start.
- xA90- 0.53 since restart(2nd best in the league).
- Norwich have conceded most goals(18), worst xGA(14.60) since restart.
Son Heung-min vs Crystal Palace(A), Price- 9.7m, TSB: 8.4%
Son is definitely one to watch out this GW. For Spurs, it is a must-win match to be assured for the Europa League spot. They are up against Palace who have totally lost ground after restart without a point from the last 7 games. Any Spurs goal is likely to go through either of Kane/Son. If you are not able to fit in Kane in your team, Son offers a good route into your team as a differential with just 8.4% TSB.
Son- Stat attack:
- 2 goals, 4 assists,42 points from last six starts averaging 7 points per game.
- Sonās record vs Palace- 2 goals, 16 points in the reverse fixture, 5 goals in last 8 games vs Palace.
- Palace have 0 points, conceded 17 goals in the last 7 games- The worst record in the league.

Richarlison(8.2) vs Bournemouth, TSB: 9.1%
Even a win may not be enough for Bournemouth to save themselves on the final day. They need to depend on other results. So they will go all-out attack, exactly what you need as Richarlison owner. Everton love to attack on the break and in set-pieces. Bournemouth have had trouble clearing the set pieces without the presence of Ake. Richarlison has already matched last seasonās tally of 13 goals and would love to go one further this time!
Richarlison stats:
- 13 goals, 5 assists this season, 3 goals after the restart.
- Up against a Bournemouth side who have conceded 17 goals since restart(2nd worst only behind Norwich)

Michail Antonio vs Aston Villa (H), Price-7.1m, TSB- 5.1%
West ham have sealed their survival for this season and all thanks to the man above, Michail Antonio. He has been a beast since restart by taking all the responsibilities on his shoulders and providing magical performances.
Antonio has managed a double-figure (10) for the first time in his career and is also the player with most goal contributions for West Ham this season (13). He also has the best xG(7.39) in the league since the restart.
Since the Project restart Antonio has scored 8 goals and has provided 1 assist. He is coming up against the Villa side who are currently fighting for their survival with all their heart. Although this is a difficult fixture for Antonio, the man has been on fire will be aiming to finish the season on a high.

FPL GW 38+ Defender pick:
Erik Pieters vs Brighton (H), Price- 4.3 m, TSB ā 6.4%
What a season Burnley have had, currently placed at 9th , it is safe to say that they have had more than a decent season. After being in the relegation battle during the Christmas period they have definitely done really well to climb up to the 9th spot.
They have been defensively amazing throughout this season. They have managed to keep 15 clean sheets with just 1 CS behind Man city. Nick Pope has been amazing behind the goal this season. But an easy to get into this Burnley defense is through Erik Pieters.
Pieters is a cheap choice for a Burnley defender costing just 4.3m and is a definite starter for Burnley. He could also prove to be an attacking threat returning 12 points last GW. Burnley have 4 clean sheets from the last 7 games and have just conceded 3 goals in that period. They would look to continue that and get Pope the Golden Glove!
