It has been a maddening double GW (24) which saw a lot players rested , injured and causing the managers to look for other viable options.As the second half of the season is starting this new year, it could be your chance to have a fresh start, by racking up the green arrows and jumping up in ranks ☝️. We have picked out 4 players to watch out for who could help you climb up in your leagues. So check out our FPL GW 25 tips for who could you haul points this week and get them in your team.

FPL GW 25 Defenders:

Jamaal Lascelles vs Norwich City (H) 4.2 MIL, TSB : 2.6%

After a disappointing start to season Newcastle United have picked up in form, they are currently placed 14th in the league. A lot of the credit for pulling back in form should be given to the Newcastle defenders.

Newcastle United have scored 24 goals this season and conceded 36 goals in return. They have managed to keep 6 clean sheets this season behind Liverpool by 3 (with the most CS).

Coming up against Norwich City at St James Park is an ideal time for the FPL managers to switch their focus towards NUFC defenders.

50% of Newcastle’s goals (12 goals ) have been scored by their defenders.

FPL GW 25 Midfielders

Abdoulaye Doucouré vs Everton (H) 5.7 MIL, TSB: 2.5%

After spending half the time at the bottom of the table Watford have managed to close the gap being 2 points away from 15th. They certainly have had quite an amazing resurgence under Nigel Pearson.

One man who has been an important part of his plan has been Abdoulaye Doucouré. He has been playing an attacking role i.e. as an attacking midfielder behind the striker. Doucouré has been tipped to be FPL GW 25 Differential Midfielder for this week.

He has managed to score 3 goals and provide 1 assist in the last 5 league games.He has managed to score 16 goals in the league since the arrival and only Troy Deeney has scored more(40 goals).

Doucouré is coming up against Everton who just lost their lead of 2 goals by conceding in the extra time of the game against NUFC.

FPL GW 25 FORWARDS:

Chris Wood vs Arsenal (A) 6.2 MIL, TSB: 1.2%

A Struggling Burnley have found their talisman in Chris Wood, who has been nothing short of magnificent this season.

The Burnley striker has had the best 2 weeks after scoring against Leicester and Man United in both of their shocking victories. Chris Wood has been tipped to be FPL GW 25 Differential Forward for this week.

He has been Burnley’s main man having scored 10 goals in the league this season. Wood has been in form scoring 3 goals and providing 1 assist in his last 4 matches.

He has managed a whopping 28 points in his last 4 games and has played some tough opponents(AVL, CHE, LEI, MUN)

Burnley are coming up against Arsenal who have been defensively unstable this season. Arsenal have conceded 34 goals this season. So Wood could prove to be the difference-maker once again.

Gabriel Martinelli vs Burnley(A) 4.5 MIL ,TSB: 2.8%

A word to describe Arsenal’s season so far has been inconsistent. But one man who has been consistent this season in his performances has been Arsenal’s wonder kid Martinelli.

With Arsenal’s main man Aubameyang suspended the problems seemed to increase for Mikel Arteta. He had to turn to the 18-year-old striker Martinelli.

Save to say he hasn’t disappointed scoring 2 goals in both the starts against Sheffield and Chelsea. He has managed to score twice and provide 1 assist in his last 3 matches.

The 18 year old striker has managed to bag 16 points in the last 2 GW, despite being priced 4.5MIL 👀😨.

Arsenal are coming up against Burnley who have picked up in form in their recent outings. With the form of the 18 year old striker, it is hard for Arteta to consider benching him against a tough side in Burnley.
