As we move through the ‘complex process’ of building our first draft, in this article, we will try to help you take a note of the Underpriced FPL Assets from the traditional Big Six Clubs. The pricing this season has made it imperative to consider these low-priced players that can help us get at least some cover from the team. Moreover, if these assets start the season with a bang, it provides a massive scope to gain from the potential price rises. With that, let’s get into it!

One Underpriced FPL Assets at Each ‘Big Six’ Club | 24/25 Season
Arsenal – Kai Havertz (8.0m)
The arsenal forward, priced just at 8M, is an amazing option and an extremely cheap route to that relentless Arsenal attack. Having Saka along with the other popular premium options would have us pinching pennies. However, with the favourable fixtures and a strong season last year, Kai Havertz could prove to be an incredible under priced asset.
Moreover, the price point also allows to switch to other popular forwards in the game. With having a little money in the bank, the move to Newcastle’s Isak can be facilitated.
Their fixtures are not the best ones that one would hope for, but they did end the season at a strong end and are expected to continue that run. This adds on to the benefits of going cheap instead of going all-out on Saka.
The table below looks at the 2023/24 season data and arranges the top players at Arsenal in terms of Points/90 per Million of their current price. Although, Zinchenko and Trossard are at the top of the table, they have played relatively lesser number of minutes. Thus, White and Havertz were the consistent starters who proved to be really worth their money. Havertz scored 0.77 pts/90 for each million of his price, just a few points behind Ben White (6.0m)
Player | Pts/90 | Pts/90 per £ |
---|---|---|
Zinchenko (D) (£5) | 5.44 | 1.09 |
Trossard (M) (£7) | 7.55 | 1.08 |
White (D) (£6.5) | 5.47 | 0.84 |
Havertz (F) (£8) | 6.14 | 0.77 |
Raya (G) (£5.5) | 4.22 | 0.77 |
Martinelli (M) (£7) | 5.23 | 0.75 |
G.Jesus (F) (£7) | 5.16 | 0.74 |
Gabriel (D) (£6) | 4.41 | 0.73 |
Watchlist – Raya (5.5m)
As can be seen from the table above, just after Havertz, equalling him at the metric is Raya (5.5m). Arsenal defenders had flourished last season and were must haves by the end. This led to their massive price hikes (see Ben White, for instance). Therefore, Raya at just 5.5m, could yet again be a an amazing pick to include one of their defenders in your team.

Chelsea – Nkunku (6.5m)
Nkunku has been on the watchlist of many for a long time now. Finally, a little optimism in terms of his starts can be seen. Recovering fully from last seasons’ concerns, he has been performing well in the pre-season matches. He becomes an even more lucrative option, considering Cole Palmer (10.5m) comes with a hefty price tag.
The fixture list for Chelsea could not have gotten any better fixtures to start the season with. After facing Manchester City at home, they go on amazing fixture run till GW7. Taking a punt on Nkunku could really prove to be worthwile. Although Nkunku played only 438 minutes last season, from the table below we can see an amazing figure for Pts/90 and Pts/90 per million.
Player | Pts/90 | Pts/90 per £ |
---|---|---|
Madueke (M)CHE (£6.5) | 6.50 | 1.00 |
Nkunku (M)CHE (£6.5) | 5.96 | 0.99 |
Mudryk (M)CHE (£6.5) | 5.36 | 0.82 |
Sánchez (G)CHE (£4.5) | 3.70 | 0.82 |
Tosin (D)CHE (£4.5) | 3.67 | 0.82 |
Sterling (M)CHE (£7) | 5.59 | 0.80 |
Palmer (M)CHE (£10.5) | 8.37 | 0.80 |
Watchlist – Madueke (6.5m)
Madueke tops the list for Chelsea (based on 2023/24 season points). Being priced at 6.5, managers can opt to go for either of the two players, based on consistent starts and can easily make a switch in future gameweeks
*Despite being priced 10.5M, Cole Palmer is still very high up the table, indicating an immaculate performance from him last season.

Liverpool – Szoboszlai (6.5m)
The Liverpool Midfielder has emerged as a great option this season as a budget-friendly pick. Szoboszlai has been on the radar for a while now and he has been starting in the pre-season matches. He also scored a goal against Real Betis in Liverpool’s first game under their new manager, Arnie Slot.
Liverpool has the best fixtures of any team in the Premier League, thereby making their players arguably the best options to have in our teams. Since, many managers have decided to go on a ‘No Salah’ route, Szoboszlai comes in at a wonderful price.
Player | Pts/90 | Pts/90 per £ |
---|---|---|
Diogo J. (M)LIV (£7.5) | 8.60 | 1.15 |
Darwin (F)LIV (£7.5) | 5.81 | 0.77 |
Gakpo (F)LIV (£7.5) | 5.80 | 0.77 |
Alexander-Arnold (D)LIV (£7) | 5.08 | 0.73 |
A.Becker (G)LIV (£5.5) | 3.82 | 0.69 |
Szoboszlai (M)LIV (£6.5) | 4.22 | 0.65 |
Luis Díaz (M)LIV (£7.5) | 4.83 | 0.64 |
Konaté (D)LIV (£5) | 3.21 | 0.64 |
M.Salah (M)LIV (£12.5) | 7.49 | 0.60 |
Mac Allister (M)LIV (£6.5) | 3.76 | 0.58 |
Virgil (D)LIV (£6) | 3.31 | 0.55 |
Moreover, as we can see in the above list, he is the cheapest midfielder in the team to be that high in terms of Points per 90 per million.
Watchlist – Gakpo (7.5m)
If we go a little higher in our budget, we can see Gakpo as well as Jota performing well, especially with respect to their price. They both had an amazing season last year. Gakpo could provide some depth in the squad with freeing up that one midfield spot. He had scored 8 goals and assisted 5 in the 2023/24 season.
Man City – Gvardiol (6m)
Coming to Manchester City, it is really difficult to pick a budget-friendly player out of their team. With their utter dominance, season-in, season-out; the prices of their players are higher than ever. Haaland being taking a whopping 15 million price tag, necessitates FPL managers to look elsewhere.
At a 6 million price tag, their wing-back – Gvardiol could be an amazing steal. He was the highest scoring defender in the City team, and had consistent returns. Gvardiol also had a brilliant end to the last season where he was almost playing like a left-winger with 4 goals, 2 assists from last 7 games of the season.
The price tag of 6 million makes him a really attractive asset to own to cover City defence, in lieu of their upcoming fixtures. He has a high potential of clean sheets and can get high attacking returns as well.
Looking at the table below, from players who were on the pitch for more than 1500 minutes last season, he ties with his partner in defence, Ake, at the top of the table. The extra 0.5 gives him the potential for extra attacking returns. As per previous season’s data, he is the most value-for-money player in the city squad.
*For context – Haaland was 2nd last in the City squad!
Player | Pts/90 | Pts/90 per £ |
---|---|---|
Doku (M)MCI (£6.5) | 5.54 | 0.85 |
Aké (D)MCI (£5.5) | 4.36 | 0.79 |
Gvardiol (D)MCI (£6) | 4.76 | 0.79 |
J.Alvarez (F)MCI (£7) | 5.35 | 0.76 |
Foden (M)MCI (£9.5) | 7.23 | 0.76 |
McAtee (M)MCI (£5) | 3.79 | 0.76 |
De Bruyne (M)MCI (£9.5) | 7.19 | 0.76 |
Bernardo (M)MCI (£6.5) | 4.92 | 0.76 |
Watchlist – Foden (9.5m)
Another player who caught our eye was Phil Foden. Although, he is not our usual ‘cheap’ or ‘budget-friendly’ asset, the price tag of 9.5million still makes it an unbelievable deal. He had 7.23 Points per 90 minutes he played last season. Moreover, there are very high chances that a lot of managers jump on him, thereby inflating his price, given his performance.

Man United – Bruno Fernandes (8.5m)
The next team we come to is their ‘Noisy Neighbours’, Man United. Their performance has not been electric in the pre-season. However, if we do consider a player from their team, Bruno Fernandes has been cheaper than ever.
Most Chances Created in Premier League last season:
- Bruno Fernandes- 114
- Gross- 104
- Odegaard- 102
- Saka- 91
- Andreas- 84
- Gibbs White- 75

Their fixtures are also fairly favourable. They only face Liverpool as a difficult fixture in GW3. However, their form is something that we should consider before keeping them in our team.
Watchlist – Rashford (7.0m)
Marcus Rashford also has a really attractive price point at 7 million. He had 0.6 pointes per 90 minutes he played last season.
Overall, I believe if Man United are able to pick back on their form, both these players could of tremendous value. Therefore, we should definitely keep them in the back of our minds.

Spurs – Johnson (6.5m)
The last team on the list, Spurs. The Johnson-Son partnership has bore fruits for them. In their latest pre-season match against Vissel Kobe, Johnson had a few goal attempts and was highly involved at their creative front. He also had an amazing 2023/24 season. He could be a great alternative to his 10 million counterpart in the midfield.
Moreover, their fixtures are a mix of difficulty, with two difficult ones, squeezed in between the easier ones. This demotivates a lot of managers to spend 10 million on Son. Therefore, at almost half his price, he could be a great option.
Looking at the table below, we can see he was at third in his team for Pts/90 per Million of his price, indicating his immaculate performance. He is massively underpriced for his output.
Player | Pts/90 | Pts/90 per £ |
---|---|---|
Richarlison (F)TOT (£7) | 7.36 | 1.05 |
Reguilón (D)TOT (£4.5) | 4.34 | 0.96 |
Johnson (M)TOT (£6.5) | 5.06 | 0.78 |
Sarr (M)TOT (£5) | 3.71 | 0.74 |
Pedro Porro (D)TOT (£5.5) | 3.96 | 0.72 |
Van de Ven (D)TOT (£4.5) | 3.11 | 0.69 |
Romero (D)TOT (£5) | 3.45 | 0.69 |
Maddison (M)TOT (£7.5) | 4.89 | 0.65 |
Kulusevski (M)TOT (£6.5) | 4.23 | 0.65 |
Son (M)TOT (£10) | 6.51 | 0.65 |
Watchlist – Richarlison (7.0m) / Van de Ven (4.5m)
Richarlison, being at the top of our table, could be a great option. However, there have been certain concerns regarding his fitness. While he definitely deserves a spot at your watchlist, Van de Ve should also not be overlooked. If managers can’t afford Pedro Porro, he is a definite route to that Spurs defend, and is also just below Porro in our table.
Conclusion
That ends our list for the Underpriced FPL Assets. Some of these players, combined with their individual as well as team form could be really beneficial picks. Best of luck for the 2024/25 season!
