FPL GW15 Transfer Targets

Harvey Barnes – £6.4m – 2.3%

FPL GW15 Transfer Targets- Barnes

To start off the list of FPL 15 transfer target, we have Newcastle’s Harvey Barnes. His last four games he has averaged just over 7 points per game in Newcastle’s last 4 Gameweeks and has scored 2 and assisted one in this time. But more importantly, he has a great fixture against Burnley in GW15.

Burnley has a problem in their right hand side having conceded the most number of chances in the league from here and Barnes who is coming in red-hot form can really cause some damage.

Through out this season he has averaged 2.61 shots, 0.38 xG, 1.18 key passes, 0.78 Big chances and 0.39 Big chances created per 90, but in the last four Gameweeks, he has averaged 3.01 shots, 0.66 xG, 0.9 Key passes and 0.3 Big chances created, while also getting 1.51 Big chances per 90(3rd highest in the timeframe). This indicates not only that Barnes is playing better and more attacking, but also that he is getting more chances and is also keeping the ball more.

Most Big Chances in the league(GW11-GW14):

He plays Burnley twice in their next 5 fixtures, while playing Sunderland, Manchester United and Chelsea in between the two. At just 6.4, Barnes is a great differential to have in your team.

Second player on the list is Chelsea’s Liam Delap. Delap has played 60 odd minutes in the last 4 gameweeks and that looks to continue going into the next week.

In the 227 minutes he has played since Gameweek 11, Delap has averaged 3.17 shots and 0.19 xG per 90. He plays a Bournemouth team which has conceded 10 goals out of their 24 goals just to strikers making Delap a great contender for this week’s Chelsea star player.

Malick Thiaw – £5.0m – 1.9%

FPL GW15 Transfer Targets- Thiaw

Newcastle have a 49% chance of keeping a cleansheet in GW15 making the very little owned Malick Thiaw a great option for this Gameweek. Newcastle are ranked 4th least for xGC this season and only behind Arsenal, City and Liverpool. Thiaw is clearly one of the target men on set pieces with 10 Shots, 4 Big Chance Involvements, 1.6 xGI from 11 matches.

In the 903 minutes that he has featured this season, he has averaged 1 shot and 0.12 xG per 90 showcasing his attacking threat. He averages 2.89 aerial wins also 90, which showcases his aerial prowess when going for headers. He has also averaged just under 9 CBIT per 90, adding to his cleansheet, attacking and aerial prowess.

He does play Burnley twice in the next 5 Gameweeks and could be also be rotated in the difficult fixtures. This is a good entry point to get into Newcastle defense. Thiaw can be a great differential going forward this season!

FPL GW15 Watchlist

Alexander Isak – £10.4m – 5.0%

FPL GW15 Watchlist- Isak

Starting off the watchlist for GW15 and beyond is Liverpool’s summer signing, Alexander Isak. Isak has finally started to get the hang of things at Liverpool and has started the last 3 games for the Merseyside team scoring 1 goal in that time frame.

Stats from Fantasy Football Hub(Sign up today for heatmap, Opta stats, predicted points, & more)

He plays Leeds in Gameweek 15 who are coming off a strong win against Chelsea but still lie 17th having conceded 26 goals. In the last 3 gameweeks, Isak has averaged 2.84 shots, 0.4 xG and 0.41 Key Passes per 90. Liverpool have not been at their best this season, but the run of good fixtures they currently have, they can come back into form.

Keep an eye out for him in the next Gameweeks, if he can build on his performance, he can be a real rank booster!

Matz Sels – £4.7m – 7.8%

FPL GW15 Watchlist- Sels

Keeping in mind that one of the most popular goalkeepers in the game(Pope) has been injured, I have included one Goalkeeper in the GW15 watchlist as the keeper to watch for coming games.

Forest have looked defensively strong under Dyche and should look to build on that in the upcoming Gameweeks. They play Everton (A), Tottenham (H), Fulham (A), Manchester City (H) and Everton (H) where Sels can get some valuable points.

He averages more than 3 saves a game and kept 13 clean sheets last season as one of the top goalkeepers in the league. Keep an eye out as he can be a great Pope replacement.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall – £4.9m – 4.3%

FPL GW15 Watchlist- Dewsbury Hall

Last player to finish off this article is Everton’s in-form man Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall who has averaged 8 points per 90 in the last 4 games.

In the 357 minutes in the last 4 Gameweeks, KDH has averaged 1.26 shots, 0.18 xG, 1.01 Key passes, 0.25 Big chances, 0.25 Big chances created and almost 6 CBITR per 90, compared to the entire season where he has averaged 1.09 shots, 0.11 xG, 1.48 key passes, 0.08 Big chances, 0.31 big chances created and only about 4 CBITR per 90.

Stats from Fantasy Football Hub(Sign up today for heatmap, Opta stats, predicted points, & more)

With games against Forest (H), Chelsea (A), Arsenal (H), Burnely (A) and Forrest (A), KDH could haul again and is a player to keep an eye on.

Top Midfielders(6.0 Million and below) for Expected Goal Involvement:

  • Tavernier- 4.5
  • Dewsbury Hall- 4.3
  • Dango- 3.7
  • Anthony- 3.7
  • Reijnders- 3.7

Key Stat: Dewsbury Hall has been involved directly in 38% of Everton goals which is a Talismanic number.

If you are looking for a Cheap Budget Midfield option, Dewsbury Hall is easily one of the best options for your 5th Midfielder slot as also has his share of corners and set-pieces.
