1,837,100 managers had used Triple Captain chip in GW25 – Highest ever in FPL History. For close to 160 minutes, it seemed like they will get two blanks and waste the precious chip. Finally, the Norwegian did score a goal, but a return of just 10 points from two home games is hardly the reason why so many people trusted Haaland with the TC chip.
Yes, a Dunk-Dennis, Sané-Mané scenario was avoided, but this falls well short of the lofty standards set by other legends like Salah, Aguero, De Bruyne, Sanchez, and Kane.
While the elongated gameweek has come to an end, albeit at a tepid mood thanks to misfiring doublers like Foden, KDB, Alvarez, Jota, Darwin, TAA, VVD, Robertson, Adebayo, and others, let’s just admit that DGW25 failed to live up to it’s pompous promise and move on to FPL Blank Gameweek 26. 4 teams namely Luton, Liverpool, Spurs, and Chelsea blank this week.
So, let’s start with our BUY-HOLD-SELL article for this GW, sponsored by …. Well, nobody. We are poor, but you can help here if you want 😊

Watkins (£8.7m) – FWD, Aston Villa – 51.1% TSB
The highest-scoring FPL FWD faces a Nottingham Forest side at home. Forest’s Clean Sheet against West Ham in the last match was their first Clean Sheet in 14 EPL matches.
Whereas Watkins is in red-hot form notching up 9 Goal Involvements in the last 6 matches.
Another big factor that sways the balance in favor of Watkins is the good run of fixtures he has for the next 5 games: –
Most importantly he doesn’t blank in the big BGW29.
Hence it is not a surprise that Watkins is the most transferred in FWD behind the now unavailable Højlund.
FPL GW26 Transfer Tips: Two Players to HOLD
Pervis Estupiñán (£5.0m) – DEF, Brighton & Hove Albion – 26.5% TSB
Just 1 point in the last 4 games after amassing 20 points in the previous 3, what an emotional rollercoaster it has been for owners of the Ecuadorian. However, Estupiñán faces Everton at home this GW.
After being benched in GW25, there’s a high chance that he will start against the Toffees.
In the last 6 GWs,
- Everton has scored the lowest goals (3).
- Brighton has kept the highest clean sheets (3).
Even beyond GW26, Estupiñán’s medium-term fixtures look very good.
So, HOLD Estupiñán.

Kevin De Bruyne (£10.8m) – MID, Man City – 31.3% TSB
“Today we can’t use Kevin because he has a niggle in his hamstring and we didn’t want to take any risks. He’s OK. It’s more prevention than anything. The doctor said it’s a little uncomfortable so after five months out so we don’t want to take any risk.”
– Pep Guardiola on why Kevin De Bruyne was benched against Brentford.
So in all likelihood, he would play against Bournemouth. The fact that De Bruyne has not blanked ever since his return from injury is just the icing we needed on the cake.
His GW26 opponents Bournemouth has conceded 14 goals in the last 6 matches with no clean sheets.
So, I would recommend you hold Kevin De Bruyne for this week.

FPL GW26 Transfer Tips: Two Players to SELL
Diogo Jota (£8.3m) – MID, Liverpool – 17.3% TSB
49 points in the last 6 GWs prompted many managers to buy Jota for the DGW. He started off well providing an assist. But then came the horror injury which resulted in Jota being stretchered out.
“With Diogo, it will obviously take rather months. It’s with the injuries as well, so like you have important days. So, day five, day 10, they are always important days when you then judge the situation again because nobody reacts in the same way and it depends on the pain level they still have and stuff like this. I couldn’t give you a timeframe even if I wanted to, so that’s just how it is. When you don’t have these players available, it makes no sense as well to say, ‘OK, they will not be in before…’ How I said, they all react different to different issues and that’s what we want to take this time.”
– Jurgen Klopp
It’s safe to say, it is better to sell Jota as soon as possible before his value drops.

Trent Alexander-Arnold (£8.5m) – DEF, Liverpool – 12.2% TSB
Another long-term injury for Liverpool is Trent Alexander-Arnold. He missed DGW and could potentially miss the EFL Cup final too. Liverpool blanks in FPL Gameweek 26, play Man City in GW28 and most probably blank in GW29 too. So TAA is an easy sell.
