Welcome to FPL PAZ’s(Twitter, Do follow him) Transfer Targets and Watchlist, where I highlight the THREE best transfer targets in each position for FPL GW21 and beyond. The goal is to give managers a watchlist for both the immediate Gameweek and future Gameweeks. All picks are analyzed with stats, fixtures, and current form. LET’S GET INTO IT:

FPL GW21 Transfer Targets

Pervis Estupinan BHA £4.9

Projected Points GW21-27: 28.8

With another banger in the FA Cup, Estupinan once again got the FPL community excited about the prospects of bringing him in. Estupinan is the perfect defender pick for managers looking for a high-upside replacement. Brighton has the easiest schedule for defenders over the next 8 GWs, giving a team such as Brighton a high chance of clean sheets. Estupinan has not had much playing time this season due to injury, but he does have a decent xGI per 90 minutes of 0.35. With good fixtures and high attacking upside, managers looking to move on from defenders such as Newcastle defenders, or the underperforming double Arsenal defense could look at Estupinan.

Cash- 0.38
TAA- 0.37
Estupinan- 0.35
Trippier- 0.34
Pedro Porro- 0.33

Phil Foden MCI £7.9m

Projected Points GW21-27: 35.3

Phil Foden is in excellent form for the current PL champions, he picked up two assists in the GW20 fixture vs Sheffield United, and in the FA Cup game that followed Foden scored two goals.

In the last six games, Foden has picked up 2 goals and 3 assists registering 39 points which is the highest amongst Man City players during the period

Newcastle aren’t in great defensive form and beyond GW21 Man City have good fixtures and could potentially double in GW25 as well which makes Foden one of the standout Son/Salah/Bowen replacemen t to consider ahead of GW21.

Joao Pedro BHA £5.4

Projected Points GW21-27: 30.7

I know, I know, he has trolled managers twice this season with the benchings early in the season. However, with all of the injuries that Brighton has and his current form, I do think he is one of the forwards to keep on our watchlist. Joao Pedro has the easiest schedule for attackers over the next 8 GWs, which raises his already high ceiling.

Joao Pedro is also on penalties, which is great for a player at his value, playing for one of the best attacks in the league. Lastly, Joao Pedro’s underlying stats are great, with a 0.75 xGI Per 90 minutes, which is elite value for money given his cheap price. With great fixtures and a massive ceiling, Joao Pedro is a forward strictly on my watchlist for the upcoming GWs.

FA Cup vs Stoke: 83 minutes, 2 goals
GW20 vs West Ham: 90 minutes, 0 goals, 0.69 xGI
GW19 vs Tottenham: 2 goals, 1 assist, 2.25 xGI

Key Stat: Only 3 Premier League Players have scored 15 or more goals in all competitions this season- Haaland(19), Salah(18), Joao Pedro(15)
