Confirmed & Likely FPL Double Gameweeks From FPL GW31
In this blog, we take a look at the confirmed & likely double/blank gameweeks in FPL starting FPL GW31 with all the latest DGW/BGW news & announcements.
Pros and Cons of FPL GW31 Wildcard
Pros:
- If your team is a bit weak for GW31 then you can wildcard this week to set up a good team for GW31 while also planning for GW34(Bench Boost). A decent strategy if you have the FH left as well for GW32.
- Can remove players like Rashford/Shaw and bring them back for GW34 if they are fit.
- Can set up your team for rest of the season with Triple City, Triple Brighton and Triple United who have 2 or more Double Gameweeks from now till end of the season. All these teams blank in GW32 which makes Wildcard a good option this week if you have the Free Hit still left.
Cons
- Good gap from now till GW34 which could potentially hamper a few bench boost plans if there are injuries
- If you don’t have the bench boost chip then there could be a benching dilemma in DGW34.

FPL GW31 Wildcard Drafts
FPL GW31 Wildcard Draft 1
(Plan to use Free Hit in GW32 & Bench Boost in GW34)
Latest on Rashford and Shaw:
“Assessment of the injury suggests that Marcus will be unavailable for a few games, but is expected to be back for the season run-in.”
- Strong focus on attacking the gameweeks from now with the teams doubling in GW34 and GW37 without the worry of the blank in GW32(Free Hit in this week)
- Two Man City, Two Man United, Three Brighton, and Two Liverpool in the draft with all of these teams doubling in GW34. Man City, Man United, and Brighton will most likely double in GW37 too with Brighton having one more double as well outside of DGW34 and DGW37.
- Arsenal are pushing for the title and it does make sense to go with Arsenal attackers. We have the pre-season combination of Jesus and Martinelli, In the last two games since starting after the injury, Jesus has scored three goals in two games from an xG of 2.25. Martinelli meanwhile from GW24 has blanked only once producing seven goals and 2 assists making him the highest-scoring player during the period with 67 points from just 8 games.
- Since GW25, Mo Salah has the 2nd most xGI(6.7) amongst all players registering 5 goals and 2 assists during the period. He’s in good form and Liverpool put in a good performance against Arsenal. Anfield has always been a fortress for Liverpool and in the next six games, Liverpool play at Anfield four times including both of the DGW34 games!
How the Draft will look in FPL DGW34
(Bench Boost)- Without doing any transfers
- Bench boost with 10 players doubling in DGW34 without making any transfers
- A solid mix of players with a double and also players from teams who are in good form(Aston Villa, and Arsenal)
- Isak/Watkins or both can be replaced with any of the Double Gameweek strikers who are fit and in form at the time(Like Jota, Martial, Nunez, Ferguson, etc). Martinelli can be Grealish with the help of planned free transfers.
FPL Gameweek 31 Captaincy Poll
The metrics had a 30/38 “returns record” last season and so far has a 24/29 “returns record” this season. Do vote in this week’s captaincy poll and this week’s captaincy metrics will be done based on the top five players in the captaincy poll
FPL GW31 Wildcard Draft 2
(No Free Hit available & Bench Boost in GW34)
- A little more balanced draft keeping in mind the need to plan for GW32 without a free hit
- No Kane is a little risk in this draft. Kane does not have any Double Gameweeks till the end of the season, but has been consistently delivering the points.
How the Draft will look in FPL BGW32?
(Blank GW)- Without doing any transfers
- 9 players for the blank gameweek 32 without making any transfers.
- Triple Arsenal to attack the blank in GW32 and keep pace with the Free hitters who will all be on Triple Arsenal
- Mo Salah is also an excellent captaincy option playing Nottingham Forest at home
How the Draft will look in FPL DGW34?
(Bench Boost)- Without doing any transfers
- 8 doublers for the DGW34 bench boost
- Newcastle triple up for their home game against Southampton and all three Newcastle assets should come good.
- One of Martinelli or Saka can be moved for a double gameweek player(Mitoma/Grealish/Bruno) if needed.
- Watkins can be Martial/Ings/Jota/Alvarez to attack the Double Gameweek.
FPL GW30 Wildcard Draft 3
(No Bench Boost available & Free Hit in GW32)
- Olise put in an amazing performance for Palace against Leeds, becoming the youngest player in the PL to register 3 open-play assists in a single game. In the last two games since Roy Hodgson came back as manager, Olise has been on all corners and has registered the 2nd highest xGI amongst Palace attackers.
- He’s also created the most big chances(3) and made the highest number of key passes(9) during the period when compared with fellow Palace attackers.
- Kane is the second-highest-scoring player and has already scored 198 points, although Spurs don’t double again this season he’s a great option and is supremely consistent.
- The rest of the draft is fairly template
How the Draft will look in FPL DGW34?
(Without doing any transfers)
- Seven doublers without making any transfers which will definitely give a better advantage when compared with the Pre GW29 wildcarders.
- Tarkwoski/Martinelli/Watkins/Olise can be replaced with Double Gameweek players for GW34.
