Top Transfer Ins and Outs Ahead of FPL GW3
After GW2, we can see that Martinelli is on top of the Most Transferred In players, with him scoring 8 pointers in two GWs in a row. Around 706k managers transferred him in this week, as of now. While, Darwin Nunez, who was sent off and is suspended till GW6 is at the top of the most transferred out players.
After Brentford’s impeccable performances against United, Dasilva, and Toney were also seen in the Top Transfers in, along with Jesus. Rodrigo, who is currently playing as a forward, however, is registered as a midfielder in the game and was transferred in by 556k managers.
After a dismal United display, Rashford was transferred out by 275k managers.
FPL GW3 Tips | Best Transfer Combinations
Transfer Combination 1:
Darwin Nunez (9.1m) to Gabriel Jesus (8.0m)
The best transfer combination ahead of Gameweek 3 is the Liverpool forward for Jesus. Darwin Nunez was sent off in his fixture against Palace and is suspended until GW6. Therefore, transferring him out this week for Jesus is a no-brainer.
Moreover, Gabriel Jesus scored 2 goals and assisted two as well in their 4-2 win against Leicester. He already had around 70 percent ownership going into the season. However, he was still transferred in by 500k managers this week.
Player Heatmap Comparison:
From his heatmap, Jesus spent most of the time in the opposition’s box, and took all his shots from inside the box. He had an expected Goal Involvement of 2.1 last week and had the highest BPS of all the players. Moreover, he took a total of 7 shots in that game and all of them were from inside the box, with an xG of 1.44.
Gabriel Jesus is on another level right now and is owned by more than 75% of managers. He looks unstoppable and faces two of the promoted teams in the next two weeks. Moreover, Nunez being out for 3 weeks, paves a clear route to Gabriel Jesus ahead of GW3.
Transfer Combination 2
Matty Cash (5.0m) to Cucurella (5.0m)
The next best transfer combination ahead of FPL GW3 is Matty Cash to Cucurella. He started his first game in the Chelsea shirt in GW2, at the Left Wing back position. He looked extremely sharp and was ranked fifth in the BPS system.
Also, with James playing at Right Centre Back, it makes Cucurella a more attractive option to own right now at 1m less. He also seems to be nailed on ahead of Chilwell at least for the short term.
Moreover, Cash wento down in the 89th minute of the game and was replaced by Konsa. However, he provided an update and said that it was just a cramp, and should be fit ahead of their game against Palace.
As a wing-back, Cucurella was seen in a lot more advanced postions in the game. He was also involved in most of Chelsea’s offensive plays. He aslo had a lot of passes in the final third, of which around 70 percent were successful as well.
Chelsea also have great-looking fixtures over the period of the next few weeks. While, Villa’s fixtures take a turn for the worse, as they face Arsenal and Man City in the next five weeks.

Transfer Combination 3
Rashford (6.4m) to Martinelli (6.3m)
The third-best transfer combination prior to the GW3 deadline is getting in yet another Arsenal attacker. Despite the lucrative pricing, it is better to stay away from United assets. Around 270k managers have already removed Marcus Rashford from their teams, and his best replacement looks to be Martinelli, at 6.2m.
In the above player comparison tool, the blue one depicts Martinelli and Rashford is depicted by the red indicator. Martinelli is much ahead in almost all the parameters mentioned here (per 90 stats).
In the two Gameweeks, he has already scored 2 goals and has decent underlying numbers to back those up. Arsenal looks incredible going forward and they have great fixtures as well. They face two promoted teams in GW3 and GW4.
Therefore, removing Rashford for Martinelli is a straightforward move ahead of GW3.

Conclusion- FPL GW3 Tips
- Go for a triple up on Arsenal, if you haven’t already. They are in a phenomenal form, and could easily continue that in the fixtures ahead.
- Dasilva and Brighton’s Pascal Gross are good options, if you are looking to replace Bailey, with no money in the bank. Full read on Best Bailey Replacements here.
- It could be worth staying patient with the Chelsea attackers, as they go on to face LEE, LEI and SOU.
- Jesus, Haaland/KDB and Salah – All three of them are great captaincy option for GW3 as they face BOU, NEW and MUN respectively. Stay tuned for Captaincy Metrics which had a 30/38 record last season.
- There are a lot of transfers out for Son this week. However, the following fixtures suit him perfectly.
