FPL GW3 Scout Picks
FPL GW3 Scout Picks- Goalkeeper
Ederson has had a great start to the season with two consecutive clean sheets and there’s a strong chance for Man City clean sheet once again for this reason we have gone with Ederson this week as our goalkeeper. Man City have a 48% chance of clean sheet vs Newcastle!
FPL GW3 Scout Picks- Defenders
Cancelo opened his attacking output for the season with an assist in GW2 vs Bournemouth, he’s already scored 18 points(Second highest amongst defenders) and makes his way into our scout picks for this week. Cancelo is also a bonus points magnet having racked up 4 bonus already, most bonus points amongst all players.
Reece James played LCB vs Spurs but still scored a goal, it’s highly likely that James returns to his wingback role vs Leeds and the chances of a return are once again high for James.
Zinchenko is our third pick and he’s playing a Bournemouth side who are expected to sit back and defend. The Arsenal CS is almost certain and Zinchenko has occupied some great positions(see below) which gives him an attacking potential as well.
Sessegnon is set to start ahead of Perisic for the third week running and he’s raked up two big chances and an xG of 0.96(Both highest amongst defenders). The goal potential for Sessegnon is quite high once again and he’s the final defender in our FPL GW3 scout picks. Spurs have a great matchup as mentioned in our matchups article for this week.
FPL GW3 Scout Picks- Midfielders
Maddison has returned in both the games so far this season and is the one of the in-form players in the 8.0 million price range. In his last six starts in the PL Maddison has scored/assisted in all of them(5G+4A), he’s also the joint highest for shots on goals amongst midfielders so far this season. He always thrives amongst the smaller teams and Southampton is a perfect matchup for him. Read more about Maddison in our differentials blog)
Mo Salah doesn’t need an explanation, he’s upagainst a woeful Manchester United side and it wouldn’t be a surprise if he hauls like he did last time when he played at Old Trafford.
Kevin De Bruyne was the star in GW2 returning 14 points and the Newcastle game is more suited to him as they’ll look to sit back and defend tight.
Martinelli has been superb for Arsenal and has scored in both the games so far. As a in-form player it’s hard to look past him in our scout squad this week.
FPL GW3 Scout Picks- Forwards
Gabriel Jesus is our captain this week, Bournemouth shipped away four goals vs Man City and Arsenal attack is up there with Man City this season and for this reason we have gone with Jesus as our captain.
Toney is the last pick in our scout picks this week, he’s another player from our differentials blog for GW3. Brentford and Toney were amazing scoring four goals against Man United at home with Toney amongst the goals. He’s registered an xA of 1.19 in two games, only KDB(1.23) had a better xA than him. The Fulham game is a great matchup and Toney should be amongst the goals.
