FPL Wildcard:

FPL Wildcard chip strategy for the 2021/22 FPL Season

When to play your first Wildcard during the 2021/22 FPL Season:

What can you do with your first FPL Wildcard?

• Unlimited Transfers for 1 GW
• Keep Team after Deadline

The 1st Wildcard can be used early on to either fix starting teams or jump on big fixture swings. I will cover the best weeks to jump on based on fixture swings.

Here is a beginners FPL Wildcard guide ~ 2021/22 FPL Season: Wildcard Chip Explained | FPL Guide

💥Strategy 1: GW7/8

✅| CHE, MCI, LEE, ARS, LEE, NOR
❌| MUN, EVE, BHA

7-8 GWs is the perfect time to assess all assets and see where you should be jumping on. And with big fixture swings for CHE & MCI, this is a great time. The only downside is it may be too early.

💥Strategy 2: GW15

✅| MUN, TOT, MCI, ARS
❌| BRE, CHE, WOL

A late Wildcard allows you to have an advantage over other players by jumping on players that they can’t get to. Especially MUN who then have 12 great fixtures in a row.

However, you will miss out on big swings in GW7.

FPL Free Hit

FPL free hit chip strategy for the 2021/22 FPL Season

What can you do with your FPL freehit

• Unlimited Transfers for 1 GW
• Can’t Cancel After Played
• Team Goes Back to Original after GW

Here is a beginners guide to FPL Freehit ~ 2021/22 FPL Season: Free Hit Chip Explained | FPL Guide

The Free Hit is different from the others at it can be used either in a Double or Blank Gameweek, depending on strategy.

FPL Freehit strategy for the 2021/22 Fantasy Premier League Season

🥊Strategy 1: Big Blank (GW30)

Due to the FA Cup QFs, GW30 will be a huge Blank. The Free Hit allows you to target the fixtures being played without ruining your team for future GWs. You can then build the best team from the few fixtures available, and go again the week after.

🥊Strategy 2: Big Double (GW36)

You can also use the Free Hit to jump on multiple Double Gameweekers, with Doubles having a much bigger ceiling. The only negative is that you’ll then have to tackle the Free Hit with FTs, whereas you can use other Chips in the Doubles.

When to play your second Wildcard during the 2021/22 FPL Season:

What can you do with your second FPL wildcard?

• Unlimited Transfers for 1 GW
• Keep Team after Deadline

The 2nd Wildcard is often used to target fixture swings, but the Community often suggests combining it with another Chip for the boost to be most effective.

💥Strategy 1: Fixture Swings

It is definitely too early to look at when to play the 2nd Wildcard but there will be strong swings to jump on. The Swings often coincide with the run-in, where some teams will be ‘On the Beach’ and others will be vying for Europe/Safety.

💥Strategy 2: GW35 (w/ Bench Boost)

Playing the elusive boost in GW35 means you can build a squad with 15 Double Gameweekers. This can then soar your rank up late in the season. The only downside is leaving it so late as you’ll miss out on jumping on fixture swings.

FPL Bench Boost

FPL bench boost chip strategy for the 2021/22 FPL Season

What can you do with your FPL benchboost?

• Bench Points included in GW Score
• Played Once During Season

The Bench Boost can make or break a season, with the timing being crucial to nailing this chip. Often most effective in a Double Gameweek, the best outcome is 15 Double Gameweekers!

Here is a beginners guide to FPL Benchboost: 2021/22 FPL Season: Bench Boost Chip Explained | FPL Guide

💺Strategy 1: Double GW36

Thanks to Ben Crellin, we know GW36 will be the biggest Double this season, so will have the most opportunities to jump on players playing twice.

The aim would then be to Wildcard in GW35 to set up 15 Doubles and execute the chip perfectly.

💺Strategy 2: GW1

Many say the Bench Boost is often overhyped and makes you use FTs on players just because they have a Double Gameweek. Hence using it in GW1 gets it out the way and also allows you to have Unlimited Transfers on getting 15 good fixtures.

FPL Triple Captain

FPL triple captain chip strategy for the 2021/22 FPL Season

What can you do with your FPL Triple captain chip?

• Triples the Score of 1 Player for 1 GW
• Played Once During Season

The Triple Captain is arguably the least important Chip as it has the lowest ceiling (only impacts 1 player). But nailing it can make a poor GW into a great one.

Here is a beginners guide to FPL Triple captain ~ 2021/22 FPL Season: Triple Captain Chip Explained | FPL Guide

🧢Strategy 1: Smaller Double GW

The most popular, and probably the best strategy, is to use it in a Smaller Double Gameweek when the 2 Games are very favorable.

This is likely to be a Chelsea player this year, who will have EVE + wol called off due to Club World Cup.

🧢Strategy 2: Single GW, Strong Fixture

Another option is to jump on a Premium Player with a really good fixture instead of overthinking someone in a Double Gameweek.

This isn’t the preferred strategy, but with a player like Salah vs NOR, it certainly is a viable pick.

FPL Chip strategy Verdict ahead of the 2021/22 Fantasy Premier League Season

FPL chip strategy for the 2021/22 FPL Season

💥WC1: GW7/8
These GWs allow you to target the best fixture swings for strong teams, ensuring you can just focus on the first 6-7 games with your starter team. You will also have time to judge the field at this point.

🥊FH: GW30
This will be the biggest Blank Gameweek, so ensures you can target the 3-4 remaining fixtures without tearing up your team for the future.

💥WC2: GW35
Use the 2nd Wildcard to set up the Bench Boost, making that Chip even more effective. Can also be used to target fixture swings but this is the current plan.

💺BB: GW36
Use in the Biggest Double Gameweek and with the 2nd Wildcard you can ensure you have 15 players with 2 fixtures. Having effectively 30 players will be a huge boost compared to other players.

🧢TC: Small DGW
Use in a Double Gameweek to give yourself the highest chance of executing the Chip. Target a strong pair of fixtures, which is likely to be a Chelsea player this season.
