FPL Tools: All That You Need to Know About FPL Planner

This blog is part of a series of posts on the Best FPL tools that are available for FPL Managers. The series is written by popular FPL Community figure, FPL Tool collector. You can follow him on twitter @or_fail.

As said in the other blogs here; there are many Planner tools available.

All tools bring their unique thing to me as a user and in this @FPLPlanner is no different. The planner tool is available on their website: FPLPlanner

On the front page you have an introduction video and some basic instructions. But really the tool is very intuitive so I doubt you need the video – but still a nice touch.

Also note the possibility to shout a beer to FPL Planner for the effort.

The FPL Planner:

Here's how the FPL planner looks!
Here’s how the planner looks!

When entering the planner you just start from scratch. Click edit on the gameweek you want to start on and then select the players you want. Or rather already have selected in the official tool.

From here you can select to copy to next game week and then select your transfers and who to bench etc. etc. It is dead simple. Nothing else to say here. And that is the neat part.

Sometimes the tool doesn’t register that you want to bench a player but then you just set him to playing and then switch back to bench and of you go.

The planner requires some discipline from you as you can select the same player more than once and set everybody as captains but the lack of that logic is easily forgiven for the speed of the tool and the nice overviews.

FPL Planner uses the Official Fixture Difficulty Rating (FDR) which is shown in four color tones.

You can have multiple plans if you need it. I had two at a time where I considered wildcarding to see the pro’s and cons. Mostly i find that one is enough though.

FPL Planner Conclusion:

This is a tool that has found its raison d’etre and does what it is supposed to do. If you are looking for your first and easy, fast planner tool for FPL this might just be the tool for you. Enjoy!

FPL Tool Collector

Danish FPL player since 2007/2008 season. It all started with three colleagues and we have been fighting it out in the same mini-league ever since. The first prize is to choose a game that we travel to England to see, so it is serious business as we all support different teams 😉 The last two seasons I have found myself in the Twitterverse as part of the #FPLCommunity and enjoy the interaction and banter. For some reason I started collecting links to various tools in my bookmarks and decided to share all my links and what I believe they are useful for. If you find new ones I am all ears. May your arrows be green @OR_Fail
