FPL GW12 Wildcard Guide
Pros & Cons of Wildcarding in FPL GW12:

- Improve bench strength with a busy festive period ahead
Cons:
- Difficult decision to go with or without Haaland on Wildcard

FPL GW12 Wildcard Drafts
FPL GW12 Wildcard Draft 1
Premium Midfielders Heavy Draft
- We have gone with Verbruggen & Fabianski in this draft – Brighton have kept three clean sheets this season & have a decent run of games ahead. Both Verbruggen & Fabianski have got decent save potential as well.
- Gabriel is the sole premium defender in this draft, they have conceded an xGC of 11.8 this season which is the 3rd lowest in the league despite having some tough games already. Arsenal’s upcoming fixtures are good and they face only one big-six team between GW12-21.
- Liverpool are the in-form team and they have conceded an xGC of only 9.3 & kept 6 clean sheets which are both league-best. Trent has been a disappointing asset this season with only an assist in 11 games. He was also subbed off with a hamstring injury against Aston Villa & is a doubt for GW12.
- Konate has scored only one point less than Trent and is 1.7 Million cheaper, he’s also a nailed option and is an easy pick in this draft.
- Ait Nouri has the most goal involvements amongst defenders this season(5) and with Wolves having a good run of games he’s an easy pick as well.
- Hall is the 4th defender in this draft to target a good run of fixtures for Newcastle, he’s started in six straight PL games. However, if you feel he’s a rotation risk you can also go for Kerkez/Konsa who are also 4.4 Million.
Midfielders:
- The midfield is the favorite part of this draft with four premiums + Mbeumo with all of them on penalties as well.
- Bruno has finally started delivering for FPL managers with 2 goals and 2 assists in the last two games, fixtures look good in the short term as well with Ipswich & Everton next. In the last three games, no player has created more chances than Bruno. During this period he’s also had four big chances(2nd highest amongst mids) and created four big chances(highest amongst mids) himself
- Palmer has been a bit silent in the last few games, but Chelsea’s good run of games starts from GW12 onwards & he’s definitely essential for this run. He’s also the 2nd highest-scoring player this season with 84 pts(7 goals & 5 assists)
- Salah needs little explanation, the FPL legend is the only player with 100+ pts this season and has registered 7 double-digit hauls in 11 games. Southampton(A) in GW12 makes Mo the standout captaincy choice as well.
Forwards:
- Cunha is the talisman for Wolves & has been in sensational fixtures having returned in 4 of the last five games with the only bank coming in GW8 vs Man City. Fixtures are great in the long term and he’s a must-own if you’re wildcarding this week.
- Joao Pedro is the 2nd forward in this draft, the Brazilian attacker is highly regarded by Brighton manager Fabian Hürzeler. He has repaid the faith shown by his manager with goals against Arsenal, Man United, and Man City already this season. Brighton have some great fixtures ahead & he’s definitely worth a punt at just £5.4 Million. If you’re still worried about Pedro’s fitness & concerned about rotation you can go for Danny Welbeck too.
- The third forward in this draft is Evanilson, the Cherries forward has finally settled in at Bournemouth & has both form and fixtures on his side. But this third forward spot is highly flexible and you can go for other budget forwards like Wissa, Raul Jimenez, and Delap too.
FPL GW12 Wildcard Draft 2
Salah + Palmer + Saka + Isak Draft
- Bruno is downgraded to Rogers in this draft to afford Isak as the premium forward in this draft. Rogers has three good home games in the next four GWs vs Crystal Palace, Brentford, and Southampton(All three teams are leaky defences).
- Since making a comeback following his injury Isak has scored 3 goals & an assist. The fixtures are great & he could be even a captaincy shout in GW16 & GW17 against Leicester & Ipswich.
- We have also got Mazraoui in this draft, he’s been the standout fullback for Man United this season and could play in a wingback rule under new manager Amorim who prefers to play with three CBs. If you’re concerned about his starting role in Amorim’s team you can go for alternatives like Digne, Estupinan, and Robinson.
- The extra funds allow us to have Kerkez as the fifth defender who has good attacking and defensive potential.
FPL GW12 Wildcard Draft 3
Salah + Palmer + Haaland draft
- If you’re keen to hold Haaland in your Wildcard team you can still do it and have a team like the above with Salah & Palmer as the other premiums.
- Amad has been sensational whenever he’s played for Man United this season and with Amorim favoring players with high intensity we feel Amad will be a key player going forward. He’s a decent punt as your 5th midfielder at only 4.9 Million.
- Estupinan makes this draft, with Kadioglu ruled out for 1-2 months Estupinan’s minutes are fairly secure & we all know the attacking potential of him.
FPL GW12 Wildcard Draft 4
Jackson + Isak draft with three premium midfielders
- Jackson is the 2nd highest-scoring Chelsea player and has scored 6 goals & picked up 3 assists already this season, with excellent fixtures upcoming he could be a solid differential with Palmer’s ownership expected to be very high.
Note: Some players mentioned in the drafts like Ait Nouri, Semenyo & Jackson are one yellow card away from a one-game suspension with the count resetting only in GW19. The chances are less that all of them are suspended in the same week & with a decent bench you can cover a one-game suspension.
FPL Relevant Players on 4 Yellow Cards: Ait Nouri, Pedro Neto, Kluivert, Semenyo, Jackson, Buononotte, Dibling, Munoz, Keane, Lisandro Martinez, Burn, Van de Ven, Schar
