Best FPL Triple Captain choices for the remainder of the season

Fantasy Premier League GW13 REVIEW

We are into the last two weeks of the Premier League season and that means there is very little time to catch up on your mates in FPL. One of the ways to make some ground in the leagues is to make effective use of the Triple Captain chip. In this blog, we will give you the best FPL Triple Captain choices from now up and till the end of the season.

FPL Triple Captain Choices

Jamie Vardy- FPL GW35+ vs Bournemouth(H)

Vardy FPL Captain
Vardy to have more party?

After 3 blanks in FPL in the the first three games post Project Restart, Jamie Vardy has come back to his best in last two matches. Vardy has scored 3 goals in his last two matches. He also secured the full 3 bonus points in FPL in both of those games. Vardy takes on AFC Bournemouth in FPL GW 35+. The Cherries have picked up just one point in their last 5 matches, conceding twelve goals in the process.

Quick Stat: Jamie Vardy scored 2 and set up one goal in the reverse fixture against Bournemouth, thereby securing 16 points in FPL.

In all Jamie Vardy has 6 goals and 2 assists in 5 matches against teams currently in the bottom three of league table. Furthermore, Bournemouth are statistically Vardy’s third favorite opposition. Only against Arsenal and Liverpool has the Leicester man scored more goals than against the Cherries.

Among all the available options, entrusting Vardy with Triple Captain armband in FPL GW35+ seems the safest and the most feasible option.

Christian Pulisic – FPL GW36+ vs Norwich(H)

Pulisic FPL Triple Captain
Captain America could pulverize the Canaries

Since the break, Christian Pulisic has been one of the most in form players in FPL. In fact, he is the only player, believe it or not to have produced at least a goal or an assist in every single game. Even Bruno Fernandes and KDB have had blanks.

Captain America has got 3 goals and 3 assists in 5 matches so far, but there is a feeling that a big haul is around the corner. Norwich could be the perfect opposition to achieve that feat. The Canaries are on the verge of getting relegated and by the time this fixture takes place they are mostly likely to be mathematically doomed as well.

Quick Stat: Pulisic is already having his best season in front of the goal. His tally of 8 goals in more than he ever managed to get in his time at Dortmund.

In the reverse fixture in FPL GW3, Pulisic registered an assist, this time around he will be looking to cause bigger damage to Norwich. Chelsea have scored at least 2 goals in each of the last 8 matches, so expect them to have some fun against Norwich in FPL GW36+. So it definitely is worth using the Triple Captain chip on Pulisic.

Danny Ings – FPL GW37+ vs Bournemouth(A)

Danny Ings FPL Triple Captain
Danny Ings for TC seems to be a great option

Danny Ings has had an outstanding season for Southampton in front of the goal. He has scored 19 goals so far, which is already his best tally. Ings will be eyeing the golden boot award come the end of the season. The Cherries could already be relegated by the time this fixture comes up, so it wouldn’t be a big surprise to see Ings produce a big haul in FPL.

Quick stat: 11 of Ings’ 19 goals have come away from home. Southampton as a side in general tend to get more results away from than at home. To put it in numbers, the Saints have got 27 of their 44 points away from home.

Jamie Vardy has a tough run in post GW 35+, as a result of which Danny Ings might feel he can catch up on his English compatriot.

FPL GW37+ sees FA Cup action for Man Utd, Man City, Arsenal and Chelsea, this means there could be huge amount of rotations and player playing fewer mins if they start. Hence the likes of Bruno Fernandes, KDB, Aubameyang and Sterling could be risky FPL Triple Captain options.

So do not hesitate to give the Triple captain armband to Ings when he takes on the Cherries in FPL GW 37+.

Raheem Sterling – FPL GW38+ vs Norwich(H)

Raheem Sterling FPL Triple Captain
Sterling to end the season on a high?

Raheem Sterling is well and truly back to form. The England International has got 3 goals and 3 assists in 5 matches post the break. Oddly enough, all those have come in home matches. In fact, Sterling has got 36 points in the last four games at the Etihad. No other player has got more, not even KDB!

So when Sterling takes on an already relegated Norwich ( one presumes) side in FPL GW38+, he definitely would look to continue his extraordinary home form.

One could argue that both teams will have nothing to play for, but Man City did lose the reverse fixture at Carrow Road, they would want to extract some sort of retribution and send Norwich back to the championship with a parting gift.

Besides, the last FPL game week generally tends to produce freak results. Man City could trash Norwich by 8 or 9-0. Sterling is most likely to get a vast majority of the goals. Ergo, it won’t be the worst thing to do to use the Triple Captain chip on Sterling in FPL GW 38+.

Farwell David Silva

This fixture could also be the last game for Club Legend David Silva who could start and potentially be on penalties, Free kick as city players will look to let Silva score in what will be his last game for Man City. With David Silva potentially playing, KDB might be pushed back hurting his chances of FPL returns. De bruyne averages 9 PPG when David silva does not plays and the average drops down to just 6 PPG when David Silva plays. So it is better to use the TC on Sterling.
