Welcome to this week’s transfer targets and watchlist, where we look at a few players to target ahead of GW10 and also a few players to target and keep an eye on for the upcoming gameweeks. The list has three players, one forward, defender, and midfielder each, who are expected to perform well this week, given both form and opposition, these will be “Transfer Targets”. The list also contains one forward, defender, and midfielder each who should be on your watchlist for the upcoming gameweeks, again a combination of form and fixtures.

FPL GW10 Transfer Targets
Jean-Philippe Mateta – 7.7 – 15.1%

First on the Transfer Targets for GW10 and beyond is Jean-Philippe Mateta. The Frenchman had a disappointing start to the season, but he has really picked up in the last few weeks, including a hat-trick against Bournemouth in GW8.
Key Stat: Mateta is ranked 2nd among Forwards(Only behind Haaland) for all the attacking underlying data- Shots, Shots inside the box, Big Chances, xG and xGI.
Mateta vs Gyokeres vs Pedro- This season Stats
- Minutes- 783 vs 757 vs 761
- Shots inside the box- 23 vs 19 vs 8
- Big Chances- 15 vs 6 vs 2
- xG- 7.8 vs 3.51 vs 1.59
- Goals- 5 vs 3 vs 2
Stats from Fantasy Football Hub
In the last three Gameweeks, Mateta has averaged 5.4 shots (2.52 of them on target) and 1.52 xG per 90. He has favorable fixtures coming up with BRE(H), BHA(H), WOL(A), MUN(H), and BUR(A) in the next five, all of whom have conceded multiple goals from the center of the field and offer multiple opportunities for strikers like Mateta.
Declan Rice – 6.6 – 13.1%

The midfielder to target for GW10 is Declan Rice. The Gunners are looking as solid as ever, and with other teams having very obvious chinks in their armor, Arsenal don’t really have one (yet). They also play Burnley, who, despite winning last week, are still one of the weakest teams in the league.
Rice has been brilliant this season and has been taken set pieces consistently well too. In 716 minutes, he has scored 1 and set up 4 for his teammates. He has also hit the Defcon threshold in 2/9 games. He averages 2.01 key passes and 1.01 shots per 90.
Burnley, on the other hand, have conceded 50% of their goals from central players, presenting yet another opportunity for Rice. They also have the highest xGC among all teams this season, with a 2.0 xGC per 90. Arsenal are the clear favorites in this one, and Rice could be one of the performers.

Gabriel – 6.5 – 35.9%

The 3rd player in the transfer targets list for GW10 and probably the best defender from a FPL perspective, Gabriel needs to be in your team if he is not already. He has scored 43 points in his last 4 games. As a defender, these are unprecedented numbers.
The threat of Arsenal’s set-piece combined with his defensive contribution potential (averaging 9.33 Defcons per 90) makes him the most attractive FPL asset out there. Arsenal also have the least xGC with a 0.6 per 90, and Burnley have the lowest xG per 90 of just 0.77, making the chances of an Arsenal clean sheet extremely high.
Gabriel is also a bonus point magnet, earning 11 of them already this season. Not only a transfer target, but a genuine captaincy candidate, you need Gabriel if you want to succeed this season.
Most Bonus Points this season:
- Haaland- 20
- Gabriel– 11
- Bowen- 9
- Semenyo- 9
- Bruno Fernandes- 8
- Mbeumo- 8
- Joao Pedro- 8
- Palhinha- 8

FPL GW10 Watchlist
Danny Welbeck – 6.4 -5.0%

Starting the GW10 Watchlist off, we have the ex-Manchester United striker, Danny Welbeck. The 34-year-old is being tipped for an England call-up after years, and for good reason. In 547 minutes this season, he has scored 5 goals in a Brighton team that has looked lackluster. While he has yet to cement his spot in the team, the Premier League veteran has started the last three games and is looking to do it again.
He also has favorable fixtures coming up too. In GW10, he plays Leeds who have conceded 6 out of their 11 from central positions, 3 of them coming from strikers. He averages almost 2 shots, 0.55xG, 1.15 Key Passes & almost one bonus point every 90 this season. He is also the likely Penalty taker and also takes free kicks (he also scored one last week against United).

Yankuba Minteh – 6.0 – 3.6%

Second on the watchlist is Yankuba Minteh. Minteh this season has been the most reliable midfielder for Brighton. He has averaged 86 minutes per start, has had 4 goal contributions, and averaged 7.93 Defcons per 90.
Yankubah Minteh- Attack Rank among Midfielders <=6.5 million):
- Shots inside the box- 2nd
- xG- 7th
- xGI- 3rd
- Goal Involvements- Joint 2nd
- Chances created- Joint 3rd
Just like Mateta, he has really good fixtures coming up with LEE(H), CRY(A), BRE(H), NFO(A) and AVL(H), and even passes the eye test every time you see him play, a constant threat on the flank, Minteh needs to be on your watchlist.

Daniel Muรฑoz – 5.6 – 13.8%

Last player on the list is Crystal Palace’s flying right-back, Daniel Munoz. In 809 minutes this season, Munoz has averaged 1.22 shots, 0.44 GI, and 0.67 Key Passes per 90, while crossing the Defcon threshold 3/9 times this season.
Key Stat: Munoz is ranked 1st for Expected Goal Involvements(2.7), 2nd for Shots(11) and 2nd for Shots inside the box(10) among Defenders this season.
Top Defenders for Expected Goal Involvements this season:

With 4 goal contributions already, Munoz looks to continue this exploits with favorable fixtures coming up. At less than 15% ownership and big at the back, being the trend of the season, Munoz should surely be on your watchlist.
