Top FPL GW4 Differential Picks to Target Ahead of GW4 Deadline

Gameweek 3 was an underwhelming week in general for most Managers despite a flurry of Wildcards & Triple Captain Chips being activated.

2 of our 6 picks returned points.

  • Gakpo โ€“ 2 Assists, 2 Bonus โ€“ 11 Points
  • Hall โ€“ 1 Assist โ€“ 4 Points

That makes it 8/18 picks who have achieved success.

In this article, we will be highlighting 4 Players who are less than 10% Owned and 2 Ultra Differentials (less than 1% Owned) for all of you as of Thursday 10th September, 2026. There are many more whom you guys can consider if you decide to not go with the 6 players mentioned below.

FPL GW4 Differential Picks

Diego Gomez โ€“ Brighton โ€“ 5.0 Midfielder โ€“ 4.9 % TSB

FPL GW4 Differential Picks- Diego Gomez
  • Gomez has been quite unlucky to only get 2 Assists so far this season. He has had great underlying stats with 12 Shots, 8 Shots in the Box, 4 Shots on Target and 2 Big Chances. He has already created 2 Big Chances and played 5 key passes for his team-mates. He has also played the full game in 2 of the 3 Gameweeks and with Brighton struggling for attackers, Gomez could be an ideal 5th Midfielder for your FPL squads.
  • What stands out is only Haaland and Bruno have taken more shots than Gomezโ€™s 12 Shots in the 1st 3 Gameweeks. Gomezโ€™s 8 Shots in the Box is the 3rd best among Midfielders (only Palmer and Mbeumo have taken more). In terms of Shots, Gomez is keeping company with some Elite Names.

Top Midfielders for Shots(GW1- GW3):

  • Coventry city are yet to register a single point or score this season and with them playing at home this Gameweek, they will be eager to score a Goal. That could play into Brightonโ€™s hands as Brighton thrive off spaces created on the pitch to play their attacking brand of football. Coventry have also conceded a lot of chances down their Left Flank (37%) and Gomez can take full advantage of this positional weakness when he lines up on the Right wing this Gameweek.

Reece James โ€“ Chelsea โ€“ 5.4 Defender โ€“ 7.8 % TSB

FPL GW4 Differential Picks- Reece James
  • Chelsea have the Highest odds of keeping a Clean Sheet this Gameweek. They have 50% chance of keeping a Clean Sheet and face a Hull side which is ranked bottom for xG. While most would go for the safer pick in Lacroix for Defcons and security of minutes, if you want to make a high upside move, we recommend going for Reece James.
  • Additionally James could line up in Midfield this Gameweek and could see the lionโ€™s share of possession this Gameweek against Hull. James has been unlucky to not yet get an attacking return so far with 5 Shots, 2 Shots on Target and 2 Key passes. Also another route to points is Jamesโ€™ set piece duties. James also got a rest midweek and looks set to start against Leeds this Gameweek.

Bradley Barcola โ€“ Liverpool โ€“ 8.0 Midfielder โ€“ 1.8 % TSB

FPL GW4 Differential Picks- Barcola
  • Fulham are ranked 2nd Bottom for xGC (6.23) and Non Penalty xGC (6.23) and Bottom for Big Chances conceded (14). They seem to be in a mess with Arbeloa having no idea of adapting to the League. Also, Fulham have been playing a high line of defence which could play into Barcolaโ€™s hands (feet) this Gameweek.
  • Known for his electric pace, Barcola could profit from this fixture. With positional rival Gakpo an injury doubt this Gameweek and having started and played close to 60 minutes, Barcola should be good enough for a start this Gameweek. Liverpool are predicted to score the 2nd most Goals this Gameweek and are predicted to score almost 2.5 Goals.

Barcola Injury update- Barcola was taken off at 60 minutes in the midweek UCL game. Iraola also confirmed that he was suffering only from cramp.

Andoni Iraola on Bradley Barcola: (09/11/2026)

“We still need to train this afternoon but Barcola was just cramps. We have to evaluate but there’s no injury he should be available if everything goes normal.”

Marcus Tavernier โ€“ Bournemouth โ€“ 6.0 Midfielder โ€“ 3.3 % TSB

FPL GW4 Differential Picks- Tavernier
  • 2 Goals so far this season. It seems Tavernier has taken the mantle of Bournemouthโ€™s Talisman in the absence of Kroupi Junior. Tavernier leads all Bournemouth attackers in terms of Shots (9), Shots on Target (5), Shots in the Box (6) and xG (1.5). He also has set pieces in his locker and could even be on penalties (Kluivert is the other option who can take a penalty)

  • With 2 Double Digit Hauls on the road already, Tavernier now has back to back home games. The 1st of those is against a Brentford side without Nathan Collins and the 2nd is a homecoming for Iraolaโ€™s Liverpool (which should spur on the Bournemouth players). From Gameweek 7, Bournemouth begin a beautiful fixture run which lasts all the way till Gameweek 16. At that time, he could become a set and forget Midfield option in our teams. Now is his time to audition for that spot against 2 shaky defences.

Ultra Differential Pick for FPL GW4 (Under 1 % Ownership)

Yeremy Pino โ€“ Crystal Palace โ€“ 5.5 Midfielder โ€“ 0.4 % TSB

FPL GW4 Differential Picks- Pino
  • At the moment Fulham & Ipswich look to be teams who could get thrashed any week. Ipswich have conceded the 3rd most xG in the League so far (6.12), the 3rd most Shots (54), joint 2nd most Big Chances (11) and the joint most Goals (8). Ipswich have conceded the majority of their Big Chances from the center of the pitch (Bruno Hat-trick in Gameweek 2 and Isak Brace in Gameweek 3)
  • With rotation a possibility for the Center Forward spot for Palace, Pino looks to be the safest option in the Palace attack. Pino has been playing just behind the striker and has already racked up 2 Assists this season. He almost scored against City and was unfortunate that it ended up being an Own Goal. He has created 3 Big Chances and played 5 key passes for his team-mates and has also had 2 Shots in the Box. With set piece duties in his locker as well, something which has troubled Ipswich this season, this could be a good week to get on Pino and enjoy some FPL points.

Anan Khalaili โ€“ Crystal Palace โ€“ 5.0 Defender โ€“ 0.2 % TSB

FPL GW4 Differential Picks- Khalaili
  • Here is a player with huge potential. Khalaili has been taking some encouraging positions for Palace and has averaged an xGI per 90 of 0.41 which is the 4th best in the League among DEFs (behind De Cuyper, Calafiori and Guehi). He had a huge chance last Gameweek to score which earned an xG of 0.72. Although Mitchell grabbed the headlines last Gameweek his goalscoring output is less sustainable as compared to Khalailiโ€™s.

  • The interesting thing about Khalaili is his Defcons. He averages 14.92 Defcons per 90 and has earned it twice already. In the only game he did not get Defcon he came on as a substitute and got 9 Defcons in 90 minutes. These numbers are astonishing for a Wing Back. If he can combine his attacking output with Defcons, he could become a great FPL asset in the weeks to come.

Players with Highest DEFCON/90 (Minimum 2 starts):

  • Finally, Palace seem to be improving and earned their 1st win last Gameweek. They now embark on a great run of 6 fixtures where they play Ipswich, Leeds, Forest, Brighton, Newcastle & Spurs. This could make Khalaili a great Defender to pick up for the mid term.

Thatโ€™s it for Gameweek 4. We will be back with 6 More Differentials next Gameweek where we will be hoping to get some positive returns from our current selected Differentials for Gameweek 4.
