  • Get the Chelsea Triple up- Pedro, Palmer and Rogers who have a good fixture run starting with HUL(H) in GW4.
  • Offload Manchester United assets(Bruno, Mbeumo, Shaw, Maguire) whose fixtures get difficult, starting with the Manchester City game in GW4.
  • Attack Teams with Good Fixture runs and have cheap assets like Newcastle(Wissa, Elanga/Barnes, Hall, Dedic) and Brighton(De Cuyper, Verbruggen, Gross), Everton(Barry, Tarkowski, Branthwaite, Hall, Garner)
  • Catch good price changes(Eg. Konsa) who might be a starter now or even later at just 4.4 million.

Cons of GW4 Wildcard:

  • Wildcard might be needed later for other fixture swings – like GW6 or around GW15/GW16/GW17 as highlighted in our Chip Strategy article.
  • Taking a decision on Manchester United assets(Bruno and Mbeumo) will be really difficult. Both have performed really well so far, with Bruno getting 3 goals, 1 assist, and 27 points, and Mbeumo getting 2 Goals, 1 assist, and 21 points from 3 games. Even though the City fixture is difficult, it might suit Man United attackers, and both of them are proven assets.
  • Liverpool play Fulham at home, which is an excellent fixture for their attackers- Isak, Gakpo, and Szoboszlai. But the fixtures after that are not very great. So it will be a difficult decision to make.
  • Without Bruno Fernandes there will be one less Captaincy option in your team. However, there is an argument that can be made to not captain Bruno Fernandes in the next 5-6 weeks and switch between Palmer and Haaland.

No Bruno- Captaincy Ticker:

  • GW4- Palmer vs HUL(H)
  • GW5- Haaland vs SUN(H)
  • GW6- Palmer vs BOU(H)
  • GW7- Haaland vs IPS(H)
  • GW8- Haaland vs AVL(A)/Palmer vs TOT(H)

GW4 Wildcard vs GW6 Wildcard:

GW4 WildcardGW6 Wildcard
Helps you target Chelsea assets ahead of HUL(H) and the other good fixtures after that. Triple up on Chelsea attack and Arsenal(Double defense+ Saka or Triple Defense) which you will anyways get on GW6 WildcardHelps you hold Liverpool assets for one more week. Get Chelsea and Arsenal assets on Free Transfers and use Wildcard after the 3 week international break in GW6.
Better if you have lots of minutes risk assets like Foden/Cherki/Ndiaye/Palestra, etc in your team. Few more weeks of information regarding assets that are tricky with minutes in the long term, like Konsa, De Cuyper, Dedic, etc. Can catch lots of Price Changes during the International break and can also navigate any injuries during IB.
Good entry points for teams like Chelsea, Arsenal and exit points for Man City and Man UnitedBetter Entry points for Teams like Fulham, Bournemouth, Newcastle and Everton

FPL GW4 Wildcard Drafts

This Team has a rating of 90%(Get your FPL Team Rated for FREE) and is Predicted to score 60 Points in GW4.

  • Can also do Button to Kinsky if you have good Team value as Verbruggen and Kinsky rotate really well.
  • Attack is covered mainly by the Triple Chelsea attack– who have a good fixture run starting with HUL(H) in GW4. Yes, Hull City have not conceded a goal in three games so far. But their underlying data has not been great and they should start conceding goals soon.

Hull City Defense Rank this season:

  • xGC- 13th
  • Shots conceded- 14th
  • Expected Clean Sheets- 18th
  • Clean Sheets- 1st

Cole Palmer, Joao Pedro and Morgan Rogers are the Chelsea Attacking Triple up and are likely to be involved in every goal they score. All three of them have a combined 10 Goal Contributions between them from the 3 games so far. Remember, Chelsea don’t have midweek European games, which works out well in the longer run. The fixtures after the Hull game are also decent with BRE(A), BOU(H), EVE(A) and TOT(H).

  • Double Arsenal defense of Calafiori and Konsa. Konsa started GW3 and is likely to be starting again in the coming weeks with Mosquera not pictured in training ahead of UCL game again. Arsenal defender at 4.4 million is gift that can’t be ignored. Saka takes up the 3rd Arsenal slot having got 2 goals and 22 Points from 3 games so far.
  • Lewis Hall and Wissa should be a lock according to me, as Newcastle have a good run of fixtures playing HUL(H), COV(A) in GW5 and GW6. Dedic is also an option if you want the cheaper route. Hall has 1 assist, 1 clean sheet and hot DEFCON in 2 times in 3 games this season averaging 10.0 DEFCON/appearance. Wissa has one goal, one assist and is likely to be on penalties as well.
  • Muharemovic is a DEFCON monster and Leeds are also looking good defensively so he should be an easy lock for the long run.
  • Neco Williams rounds up the defense as he is very likely to hold on to his spot even with Munoz in the mix(Aina should drop out). Forest have good fixtures from GW4 playing COV(H), CRY(A), IPS(H) in 3 out of the 4 weeks after GW4. Williams has multiple routes to points- Shots(Most among DEFs last season), Corners, DEFCON(Already hit once this season).
  • Attack is rounded up by Pascal Gross who is a Budget pick at just 5.5 million and is looking really good for a long-term hold. Good entry point as well with the COV(A) fixture in GW4. Gross is on some of the corners, set pieces and could be on penalties as well.
  • Slater is the Budget Enabler/Bench Fodder at just 4.5 million and is a regular starter for Hull City taking in corners and set pieces.

FPL GW4 Wildcard Draft 2 without Bruno Fernandes

FPL GW4 Wildcard Draft 2

This Team has a rating of 88%(Get your FPL Team Rated for FREE) and is Predicted to score 58 Points in GW4.

  • This is a draft with Arsenal Triple defense over Saka- Raya, Calafiori and Konsa. Arsenal usually are among the Top 3 for Clean Sheets odds almost every single week and it is not a made bet to make.
  • Mbeumo comes in to get some Manchester United cover in the absence of Bruno Fernandes. With two goals, 1 assist from 3 games he is not far behind Bruno and offers value at just 7.9 million.
  • Harvey Barnes comes into this draft having played 90 minutes in all 3 games this season. He has also got a goal, assist in GW3 for a 12 Point haul. He is still less than 2% owned and could be a massive Differential going forward.
  • De Cuyper(Listed as a Defender) continues to play LW and also got an assist through a corner in GW3. With no news on Mitoma return from injury yet, He should be a good option at least for the shorter run.
  • Mbeumo to Szoboszlai/Gakpo and using that one million to upgrade Slater to Gross is also a good option in this draft if you fancy Liverpool attack.

FPL GW4 Wildcard Draft 3 with Bruno Fernandes

FPL GW4 Wildcard Draft 3

This Team has a rating of 89%(Get your FPL Team Rated for FREE) and is Predicted to score 60 Points in GW4.

  • Barry(5.6 million) comes into this draft ahead of Wissa having scored well in pre-season and also got a Goal, 2.4 xGI from 3 games so far. Barry is ranked only behind Haaland for Expected Goals this season. Everton are one of the Top Teams on the Attack fixture ticker over the next 3 games as they play TOT(A), IPS(H) and HUL(A) in the next 3 games. With Beto leaving and no other senior striker there, Barry is certain to start all three games. He could also be on penalties when Garner is not on the pitch.

  • This draft has Gakpo over Rogers, avoiding the Triple Chelsea attack and getting Emi Martinez instead. Gakpo and Tavernier are midfield picks that come into this draft with both players having a good start to the season. Tavernier has 9 Shots, 3 Big Chance Involvements, 1.83 xGI, and 2 Goals from 3 games so far, while Gakpo has 7 Shots, 1.56 xGI and 1 Goal, 3 assists this season. Remember Bournemouth have an excellent fixture run from GW7.

Note: Gakpo is a doubt for Liverpool’s GW4 fixture, and he missed the midweek UCL game too. If you’re unsure of his xMins, you can go for Szoboszlai instead.

  • The defense is slightly weaker in this draft, with the 4.5 million defenders covering in the form of Dedic and Disasi/Mitchell. Palace have not been great this season but if you are willing to make a punt on them it is well worth as Palace defenders are usually good for DEFCON. Mylokenko is also an option for the 4.5 defender slot with Everton having good fixtures.

FPL GW4 Wildcard Draft 4 with GW5 Bench Boost plan

FPL GW4 Wildcard Draft 4

This Team has a rating of 86%(Get your FPL Team Rated for FREE) and is Predicted to score 57 Points in GW4.

  • This is a draft for managers who still have the Bench Boost and plan to get rid of it sooner. Wildcard in GW4 and Bench Boost in GW5 will be an attacking strategy if you are willing to take it on.
  • Dewsbury Hall and Gibbs White are Talismanic picks for their teams and are excellent differentials at low ownership. They have good fixtures in GW5 as well with home fixtures against Ipswich and Coventry. King is also another Differential from Fulham(who are very attacking) and play 3 promoted teams back to back from GW6-GW8.

GW5 Bench Boost Projection:

This is the projection for This Team has a rating of 86%(Get your FPL Team Rated for FREE) and is Predicted to score 71 Points in GW5 Bench Boost.
