GW2 Review:

109 Points despite not Captaining Bruno Fernandes – I would absolutely take it any day of the week. All of my players returned this week except Kinsky. Thomas got in a lucky clean sheet, Maguire got an assist, Szoboszlai and Ballard hit DEFCON to support the big haulers like Bruno, Haaland and Calafiori.

GW3 Transfer Plans and Chip Strategy
Close to 600k managers have sold Mbeumo this week, and this is a huge surprise for me personally. I can understand that managers want Cherki vs COV(H), but there is a good argument to hold Mbeumo this week, which is what I am going to do.

Mbeumo Attack rank among Midfielders after first 2 games:
- Shots- 2nd
- Shots on Target- 2nd
- Shots inside the box- 1st
- Big Chances- 1st
- xG- 1st
- xGI- 2nd
Everton Defense Rank this season:
- xGC- 16th
- Big Chances Conceded- 19th
On paper, this is a good matchup, and also Mbeumo plays Man City in GW4, which is a difficult fixture on paper, but that is actually a fixture that Mbeumo will thrive on, considering Man City’s high line and Man United’s counterattacks.
GW3 Transfer Plans
I was looking at some of the entry points for who I really like and have good fixtures in the coming weeks.

My Transfer plan for this week is getting in Konsa/De Cuyp for Ballard. According to Sam Blitz– “Arsenal had an open training session for Sky Sports cameras this morning. No Christian Mosquera after he came off vs Aston Villa with his muscular issue. No Bruno Guimaraes too”. I would, however, wait for Arteta’s press conference before making the moves to confirm that Mosquera is ruled out for a while. If we don’t get any news on that, Hall/Dedic/De Cuyper is the alternative to Konsa.

GW4 Transfer Plans:
I don’t plan to Free Hit in GW4 as I already have Double Liverpool attack vs FUL(H), Haaland, and then Pedro vs HUL(H). The ideal plan would be to get in a Chelsea attacker- Palmer/Rogers. But I am not entirely sure about removing Mbeumo, though.
The on-paper plan is to do either Mbeumo to Rogers or do Bruno to Palmer. However, I am not sure about removing Mbeumo/Bruno and will re-assess again after GW3.
Possible Transfer options and routes for GW4 and Beyond:
- Roll Transfer and Wildcard in GW5
- Wildcard in GW4 targeting Chelsea, Arsenal, Newcastle, Everton and Fulham assets.
- Mbeumo to Rogers on a Free Transfer
- Palmer + Gross in for Mbeumo + Wirtz
- Palmer + Rogers in for Bruno + Yirenkyi
Final Updated Team for GW3:

I have done Ballard to De Cuyper with one of my Free Transfers and have decided to roll the other transfer. De Cuyper is playing as a LW(Being listed as a Defender) for Brighton. With no positive news on Mitoma/Minteh yet- I have gone for De Cuyper as a short term pick to cover GW3 vs LEE(H) and GW4 vs COV(A).
Konsa can wait for a week or two as Arteta indicated in his Press Conference that Mosquera’s injury was just a precaution meaning that Konsa might still need to wait for a start. I don’t want to user the transfer not sure if he is going to start so will get him whenever I wildcard.
Captaincy
Haaland is locked in as the Triple Captain for me in GW3. And I am not overthinking this. City have only Haaland as the Striker in their main team, and he should at least play 75-80 minutes against Coventry. European games, FA Cup, and EFL Cup have all not started yet, and I feel this is the best time for Minutes to Triple Captain Haaland against a promoted team. Man City travel to Porto away on Tuesday, but I do think that shouldn’t be a problem for Haaland’s minutes.

Here are some of the other Triple Captain windows for those considering:

GW2 Review:

Really happy with how GW2 panned out- Bruno captaincy, Mbeumo, Haaland, Pedro, and Calafiori all returning with big hauls. Kinsky and Tzolis were the disappointments in my team. Spurs have not at all looked defensively solid in the first 2 GWs, but I expect them to improve as the weeks go by. Tzolis is very likely leaving my team not because he blanked, but because he was subbed off at half-time. The Tzolis replacement are discussed below.
GW3 Bus Team

FPL GW3 Fantasy Football Hub(FFHUB) Free AI Recommended Transfers:

The FFHUB AI Tool recommends doing Tzolis to Anderson for the fixture run for Man City starting from GW3 with COV(H). For a long term pick, Anderson should be good for minutes back while consistently hitting DEFCON and getting the odd attacking returns here and there.
GW3 Transfer Plans and Chip Strategy
| GW3 | Tzolis and Le Fee to Foden + Gomez (2 FTs) |
| GW4 | Free Hit |
| GW5 | Target Newcastle assets(Hall/Dedic/Elanga/Wissa) or GW5 Wildcard(worst case) |
| GW6 | Wildcard |
- My current transfer plans for GW3 is removing Tzolis and Le Fee ahead of GW3. Tzolis had a difficult game vs Villa in GW2 and was subbed off at half-time for Eze, who looked good. Tzolis looks like a minutes risk long-term. Le Fee didn’t return in the first 2 games, but the issue is not that- Sunderland have a difficult fixture run with BRE(A), ARS(H), MCI(A) in the next 3 games. Removing both of them helps me to get to the Man City midfielder vs COV(H) in GW3.
- The transfers for GW3 planned(which I am very likely to do) are Foden and Gomez coming in for Tzolis and Le Fee. I will also have 0.4 million in the bank after making these moves. Foden got 2 assists and a 9-pointer in GW2. But it could have been a monster haul, as he was taking really good attacking positions but missed 2 Big Chances.
Foden in GW2 vs Crystal Palace:
- 90 Minutes
- 3 Shots
- 2 Shots inside the box
- 2 Big Chances
- 0.87 xG
- 3 Chances created(2 Big Chances created)
- 0.45 xA
- 2 Assists
- Gomez(5.0) comes into the team having 2 assists over the first 2 games. But the impressive part is the underlying numbers: 8 Shots, 7 Shots inside the box(3rd among MIDs), 4 Big Chance Involvements, and 1.21 xGI.
GW4 Free Hit Plan
The plan is to free hit in GW4, as I would want to skip my Manchester United assets for the Man City fixture but keep them for the Everton fixture in GW3 and the Fulham fixture in GW5. The same with Foden as well – I can have him for COV(H) in GW3 and SUN(H) in GW5 but can skip him for the Manchester United game in GW4. Also, I don’t have Liverpool attackers, and I fancy them to do well against Fulham at home in GW4. Having only Pedro means that the GW4 Free Hit is an easier route to get the Palmer + Pedro + Rogers Triple up attack vs Hull City. This is a placeholder GW4 Free Hit Draft which I have tried out.

GW5 Transfer Plans:
In GW5, I will be planning to get in a Newcastle asset vs HUL(H). I will have 0.4 million in the bank after making the moves in GW3. Wissa is an option but there are not any direct routes to get to him. So I will be either getting Elanga in for Szoboszlai or Hall or Dedic in place of Hall. I can also push my Wildcard plan a week early if I feel there is a need to target Newcastle, Everton and Fulham for the cheap assets for the good fixture run. The only issue with a GW5 Wildcard is that there is a 3 week international break after it. So the ideal plan will be Wildcard in GW6.
Final Updated Team for GW3:

As discussed above, I have gone ahead and did the same transfers. I have got in Foden + Gomez for Tzolis and Le Fee from my 2 Free Transfers. The plan to Free Hit in GW4 is still pretty much on!
Captaincy
I want to take on the GW3 Wildcarders and GW3 Free Hitters with the Triple Captain Chip on Haaland. Against Coventry at home, There is not much justification needed to make this move.
