FPL GW2 Differential Picks

Yoanne Wissa โ€“ Newcastle United โ€“ 6.0 Forward โ€“ 3.0 % TSB

FPL GW2 Differential Picks - Wissa
  • Wissa looks sharp this season. After spending most of last season injured, he had a good World Cup and proper pre-season. He provided an Assist in Gameweek 1 and could have had more points as he got 2 Big Chances. He relished playing up top and could continue to do that with Osula having some fitness concerns this week(Most likely out for couple of weeks, So Wissa could play up top as well). Also, remember that penalty duties are up for grabs at Newcastle this season after both Gordon & Guimarรฃes left Newcastle. Wissa could be the man to take up spot kick duties.

  • Another reason to get Wissa early is the fixture this Gameweek. Spurs conceded the most xG last Gameweek (3.87) and also the most Big Chances (6) and the 2nd most Shots (26). De Zerbi himself mentioned that Spurs do not look ready and their midfield looks depleted. This could be a good time to play Spurs. Newcastle also embark on a brilliant run of fixtures now as they face 2 promoted sides in the next 5 Gameweeks and do not face any of the Big 6 after this Gameweek, up to Gameweek 10. Hop on early and enjoy Wissaโ€™s points.

Kiernan Dewsbury Hall โ€“ Everton โ€“ 6.5 Midfielder โ€“ 4.5 % TSB

FPL GW2 Differential Picks - Dewsbury Hall
  • KDH just keeps on delivering. He scored and grabbed 3 Bonus in Gameweek 1 to continue his brilliant form for Everton after scoring 8 Goals and 7 Assists last season. He will now face a Bournemouth team who looked shaky against an average Manchester City team in Gameweek 1. Bournemouth conceded the 3rd most xG (2.25) and the joint 2nd most Big Chances (4). Under Marco Rose, Bournemouth look more open at the back.
  • KDH is brilliant at picking up half spaces and loves playing against teams that allow him spaces in the final 3rd. That is something Bournemouth is likely to do as they play an attacking brand of football. KDH created 2 key passes and had 2 Shots in the Box. KDH is also a good pickup for the future as Everton play 2 promoted teams โ€“ Ipswich and Hull City in Gameweeks 4 and 5.

Rayan Cherki โ€“ Manchester City โ€“ 7.5 Midfielder โ€“ 10.0 % TSB โ€“

FPL GW2 Differential Picks - Cherki
  • 27 minutes is all it took for Cherki to set up 2 Goals and win the game for Manchester City. He showed his multiple avenues to points as he got an Assist from a corner as well as 1 from open play. He played 4 key passes in 27 minutes and should get rewarded for his performance with a start this Gameweek. If he can nail down a place in the starting 11, he could be set to have a massive FPL season. Remember, he got 4 Goals and 13 Assists from only 19 starts last season.
  • Palace are a team under transition and distracted by transfer rumors. With Mateta, Sarr and Munoz all getting interest from other clubs, an injury to Chadi Riad, the backline unsettled and a new manager, this could be a good game for City to score a few goals. Palace also did not look great in Gameweek 1 and were lucky to only concede 2 Goals against Everton. With City playing promoted Coventry up next, better to take a punt on Cherki this Gameweek before everyone flocks to him next Gameweek, if he delivers again.

Kai Havertz โ€“ Arsenal โ€“ 7.5 Forward โ€“ 7.3 % TSB

FPL GW2 Differential Picks - Havertz
  • Havertz continued his good form for Arsenal after scoring for the 4th consecutive match for Arsenal. (Gameweek 37 last season, UCL Final, Community Shield and Gameweek 1 this season). Havertz started only 7 Games last season due to injuries and still got 2 Goals and 3 Assists. He usually gets attacking returns whenever he plays.
  • Havertz and Arsenal now face Aston Villa, who conceded the 2nd most xG (3.77), 2nd most Shots (21), and joint most Big Chances (6) in Gameweek 1. They conceded most of their chances from the center of the park, and that is why Hinshelwood hauled. Havertz can exploit the same positional weakness against a struggling Villa side this Gameweek.

Matheus Cunha โ€“ Manchester United โ€“ 8.0 Midfielder โ€“ 9.5 % TSB

FPL GW2 Differential Picks - Cunha
  • Manchester United players had a horrible game against Hull. They now play another promoted team, Ipswich, at home. At home, they are expected to perform much better, and the Manchester United fans will expect a big response. In Gameweek 1, it was actually Cunha who played as the Center Forward, instead of Mbeumo. He had 3 Shots in the Box, 1 Shot on target, and he created 1 Big Chance and played 2 key passes.

Data from Fantasy Football Hub Memberships are available for the 2026/27 season at a 50% discount along
with a win-your-mini-league or get-your-money-back guarantee (T&C Applicable).

  • Manchester United are expected to score more than 2 Goals this Gameweek according to Bookmakersโ€™ odds. With Mbeumo & Bruno the popular FPL picks, those looking for a short-term 1-week punt could target Cunha this Gameweek.

Ultra Differential Pick for FPL GW2 (Under 1 % Ownership)

Taiwo Awoniyi โ€“ Coventry City โ€“ 5.5 Forward โ€“ 0.8 % TSB

Ultra Differential Pick for FPL GW2 - Awoniyi
  • Here is a pick for the mavericks. Call me a biased Manchester United fan, but I do not rate Hull City at all. They scored from a couple of set pieces, and I feel that this Gameweek they could face a much tougher challenge when they travel away to Coventry City. Coventry are back in the League after 25 years and are expected to have a party atmosphere.
  • Although Hull won in Gameweek 1, they still conceded 1.83 xG and 21 Shots against Manchester United. They had their Goalkeeper to thank for keeping that Clean Sheet. Another concern is that their 2 Goalscorers and Central Backs got injured. Only time will tell who will line up for Hull this Gameweek in defence.
  • Awoniyi actually had a bright cameo and looked much more threatening than Simms. With Coventry needing a positive result to catch up to the other 2 promoted sides, I expect Awoniyi to start as he has more experience of playing in the League. That sort of experience helps when playing against a promoted team. I have a feeling that Hull City will be brought back down to Earth this Gameweek.

Awoniyi vs Plymouth(Midweek EFL Cup game):

70 Minutes
2 Shots
1 Big Chance Missed
2 Chances created(1 Big Chance created)
1 Goal
1 Assist

Thatโ€™s it for Gameweek 2. We will be back with 6 More Differentials next Gameweek, where we will be hoping to get some positive returns from our current selected Differentials for Gameweek 2.
