Best £6m FPL Forwards Comparison
Key Stats

Calvert-Lewin comes out on top for almost all overall stats – with the highest goal involvement both with and without penalties.
The three with the most minutes last season all dominate the stats here – though it’s worth noting Osula’s 7 goals in 24 appearances (and 8 starts) matching Brobbey, who started 22 games last season. He’s definitely been a high-impact player, but playing time will probably be his biggest issue, given that he will be competing against Woltemade and Wissa for a starting spot.

In terms of stats per 90, a lack of minutes skews Osula’s numbers – showing the impact he had despite a lack of consistent starts – and also skews Solanke’s numbers the opposite way.
It’s definitely worth noting that Calvert-Lewin consistently performs well compared to the others. He averaged a goal or assist per 180 minutes (both actual and expected), with Igor Jesus also having a similar output.

Set Piece Potential
Both Calvert-Lewin and Solanke are first-choice penalty takers for their respective teams, which is a great upside at this price point. Igor Jesus did take a penalty last season, but only due to the players ahead of him not being on the field.
Osula, Brobbey, and Igor Jesus have a lack of opportunity when it comes to set pieces.
Team Stats

Despite having the best league finish for the 2025/26 season, Sunderland actually scored the least goals of the teams here. Newcastle’s attack come out on top overall, with the others fairly even with each other – though it’s worth noting that Leeds and Newcastle both under-performed on their expected figures.
Opening Fixtures

Despite two tougher opening fixtures, Newcastle still tops the teams here for overall fixture difficulty in the opening weeks. However, given that you will likely want to bench Osula at least in the opening game, you may look to one of the other options that has a more exciting start to the season.
Forest have a great opener, but also some tough following fixtures where you would possibly look benching their assets.
Both Spurs and Leeds have some strong opening fixtures, and it isn’t until a few weeks into the season that they become more difficult, providing a good opportunity to attack the opening games and consider switching out to another asset here depending on what we see when the season starts.
Although Sunderland come at the bottom of this list, their opening two fixtures are particularly nice and tempting to target.
The good thing about this price point is that you can justify just benching these assets for the tougher fixtures as long as you have some
Predicted Points (First 6 GWs)

- Calvert-Lewin = 26.0
- Osula = 22.0
- Solanke = 20.8
- Brobbey = 20.6
- Igor Jesus = 20.5
Despite some tougher fixtures, Calvert-Lewin is still comfortably predicted to score the most points in the opening 6 gameweeks, followed by Osula – with Newcastle having the most favourable fixtures after the first gameweek. There isn’t a lot separating the other three, with fixtures and team form varied among them.
These predictions may help sway some of your 50/50 decisions, but how much you take them into consideration depends on your play style.
Best £6m FPL Forwards – The Verdict

If I were to rank the £6m FPL Forwards based on who to pick for GW1, I would personally put them in this order.
- Calvert-Lewin
- Brobbey
- Solanke
- Igor Jesus
- Osula
Calvert-Lewin and Brobbey are definitely the safer picks based on ownership, and I think their opening games, mixed with last season’s form, are why they’ve stood out to players. Calvert-Lewin is my personal choice to start the season, with his set piece threat making him stand out here.
I think Solanke and Igor Jesus are pretty interchangeable – they’re the punts that could potentially deliver on their huge upside, but are bigger risks.
I personally would avoid Osula for GW1. I think he’s an exciting asset, but with his starting place up in the air and Newcastle’s tough opening games, I think he’s one to keep an eye on and make a move to for the nicer games in the future if he does look promising.
