Notes:
- Adams is currently yellow-flagged, having missed Bournemouth’s most recent pre-season friendly with a knock. Will likely be fit for FPL GW1 BUT may face competition for his place with Cook (5.0m) and Christie (5.0m) in the long term (suspended for GW1).
- Julian Araujo, Veljko Milosavljevic and Junior Kroupi are all long-term absentees, while Amine Adli will miss ‘some weeks’ following a calf injury against Real Betis.
- Alex Scott is back after missing the defeat to Mainz, and Tyler Adams was due to return to the training pitches this week.
- New striker signing Rodriguez could rival for a starting spot, but unlikely for GW1 as he is also nursing an injury.
- Formation could flex between 4-2-3-1, 4-4-2 and 4-2-2-2 depending on opposition and game-state. Expect one of Kluivert or Tavernier to be dropped for a second striker (or for Rayan to play as a second striker) in some matches – but unlikely for GW1.
Arsenal

- Jurrien Timber is not back training with the group yet, Ben White should be fine for at least the first few weeks.
- Arsenal are signing Konsa from Aston Villa, but he has had zero pre-season minutes, so he won’t come into the team for GW1 in place of Mosquera.

- Watkins is expected to leave, Madjo is injured, and Abraham is also a doubt, so it remains to be seen who starts up front. There’s even murmurs that McGinn starts up top.
- Suzuki could come in directly into the starting 11 in place of Bizot/Emi Martinez (Who is expected to leave Villa)
- Unai Emery prefers to keep Ollie Watkins but has confirmed that he could leave AVFC should the club receive the right offer and find a replacement in the market.
- Unai Emery on team news: “We are going to train tomorrow, and I will decide tomorrow. We have enough players. I don’t know about the players we have now; I will see tomorrow.”

- De Cuyper out of position DEF as a LW.
- He’s a very positive character, second a goalscorer,” says head coach Fabian Hurzeler at his press conference. “Hopefully then he might be involved against Villa (on Sunday).”
- Kaoru Mitoma, Yankuba Minteh, Carlos Baleba and Stefanos Tzimas all remain OUT!
Chelsea

- Situational back four with Palestra often dropping back or James pushing on – though Palestra is likely to be the more advanced option of the two.
- Xabi Alonso on the Penalty situation: “I don’t know which ones were last season but yes, we have our own decisions.”
- Enzo’s potential transfer means that he is a doubt for GW1, with Lavia likely to replace him. Enzo is currently more likely to start, but the situation could change.
- Danny Welbeck has been training individually. Xabi Alonso mentioned that he can be involved. He just needed a couple of days not training that much because of a little thing. We expect him to be back [training] on Saturday. We need to go day by day, but that is the plan at the moment.
- Palmer and JP nailed, Rogers is competing with Welbeck and Estevao for the final position.
Coventry City

- Jack Rudoni looks to have recovered from shoulder surgery, while teammate Ephron Mason-Clark has overcome a small hamstring niggle and both are in contention for GW1
- Haji Wright may not return until November.
Crystal Palace

Notes:
- Munoz is the subject of transfer speculation and seemed to say farewell to the fans after their recent pre-season friendly. The Colombian was benched for that game, with Mingueza taking his spot in the team.
- Mateta and Pino have had 0 minutes in pre-season so far and are thus unlikely to start. Jean-Philippe Mateta should be involved though despite his late return.
- Dean Henderson should be OK after picking up an injury in the final pre-season friendly at Freiburg.
Everton

- Moyes: Tim Iroegbunam has an abductor strain so won’t make it tomorrow. James Garner is returning from a hernia operation. Christian Norgaard may not be fit enough to start.
- Moyes on a right-back: We have identified a few right-backs that we like, we have bid for a few. We are right in there. We have got Jake O’Brien, Merlin Rohl did well in pre-season, Jimmy Garner was excellent there. We are certainly short on numbers, and have room to get a right-back.
Fulham

- Garcia has started the last 3 pre-season games and has joined from Real Madrid (where Arbeloa managed previously) and is set to start. Palacios looks likely to start over Kevin, but could also play in the number 10 ahead of King.
- Arbeloa confirmed that Tom Cairney is the only player who will miss the Derby due to injury. Joachim Andersen will miss Monday’s game due to suspension.
Hull City

- Abdul Fatawu and Florentino Luis are both fine.
- New signing Abdoul Ouattara is fit… ‘but won’t be at his maximum after a disrupted pre-season.’

- Only changes is possibly in defence at right back and right centre back, with Guehi and Nunes offering competition for places.
- Jeremy Doku is ruled out for ManCity vs Bournemouth due to injury, whilst Matheus Nunes is back and available, as confirmed by Enzo Maresca in today’s press conference.
- Savinho is on the cusp of a move to Spurs, and Omar Marmoush could leave before the end of the window.
- Phil Foden and Rayan Cherki can “play together in different positions”, but are “quite similar players”, says Enzo Maresca.
Manchester United

- Mount picked up a knock against PSG in pre-season and will not be fit for United’s opening fixture against Hull, with Tielemens likely to take his place.
- Carrick suggested in his press conference that Sesko and Darlow should be in the mufc squad vs Hull. De Ligt won’t be, and Mount is ‘touch and go’.
Newcastle United
