Top Fixtures and Players to Target for Matchday 2 in World Cup Fantasy
Czechia vs South Africa (18 June)
Czechia goes into this match as the stronger side after their defeat in Round 1, and they need a win against the weakest team in Group A. L. Krejci ($4.4m-DEF) scored in Round 1 with a header from a set-piece and is always dangerous from dead balls, while V. Coufal ($3.6m-DEF) was directly involved in that goal with his long throw and is a cheap option with upside. P. Schick ($7.3m-FWD) is their main striker, penalty-taker, and focal point of the Czech attack, and with South Africa weakened, he is the clear fantasy attacking target here.

Canada vs Qatar (18 June)
Canada’s draw with Bosnia in Round 1 means they need a result here, and Qatar is their most manageable fixture. M. Crepeau ($4.0m-GK) kept Canada in the game against Bosnia and remains a solid budget option, as L. De Fougerolles ($3.5m-DEF) is a decent budget pick from the Canadian backline. J. Brazil struggled to beat Morocco in Round 1 and will need to be more clinical here against the group’s weakest side. Vinicius Jr ($10.0m-MID) scored Brazil’s equalizer against Morocco with a brilliant individual goal and is their most dangerous attacker. USA vs Australia (19 June)
USA’s performance against Paraguay in Round 1 was one of the most impressive of the tournament as the host, and they have another very winnable game against Australia.. Pulisic ($7.0m-MID) was unplayable in the first half against Paraguay — he had an assist and was involved in almost everything — and is arguably the must-own USA asset. F. Balogun ($6.0m-FWD) was even more spectacular, scoring two goals and earning Man of the Match in a statement performance. A. Ecuador vs Curacao (20 June)
Ecuador has the best possible fixture in Round 2, facing the weakest team in Group E after Germany hammered Curaçao 7-0 in Round 1. H. Galindez ($4.2m-GK) should be well set for a clean sheet. J. Ordonez ($3.9m-DEF) remains one of the cheapest and most appealing defensive picks in the game, while E. Messi’s hat-trick in Argentina’s 3-0 win over Algeria in Round 1 was one of the great World Cup performances, and Austria — who beat Jordan 3-1 — is a tough but manageable opponent for them. L. Messi ($10.0m-FWD) goes without saying: he is still one of the most in-form players in the world at the age of 39 and is now the joint all-time World Cup top scorer. C. Romero ($4.9m-DEF) and L.
