Best Teams & Players to Target: Group A

(Mexico, South Africa, South Korea & Czech Republic)

As there is no top-tier national team in this group, Mexico seems to have the highest chance to finish at the top of the group: not only because of having the best team, but also because of being one of the three hosts of the competition this year. The Fulham striker  R. Jimenez ($7.0m-FWD) is seemingly their most interesting attacking option, scoring 3 goals in the Gold Cup 2025 including one of the winning goals in the final against USA. C. Montes ($4.7m-DEF) is also an attractive option among their defenders with 3 goals in Gold Cup, while J. Gallardo ($4.7m-DEF) is the cheaper option with less attacking return history.

H. Son ($7.4m-FWD) is the best pick if you want a player from South Korea, as he is still the talisman of the Asian team, while P. Schick ($7.3m-FWD) is the best from Czechia with 26 goal involvements for Bayer Leverkusen in all competitions this season. V. Coufal ($3.6m-DEF) might also catch some eyes with his low price and the probable attacking return he is capable of providing. South Africa is not predicted to finish in a higher position than any of the other teams, which means we avoid suggesting any of their players for your fantasy squad. It’s worth mentioning that Mexico will play the opening match of the competition against South Africa, which means that we may see their line-ups before the deadline.

Best Teams & Players to Target: Group B

(Canada, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Qatar & Switzerland):

Here we have one of the toughest groups in terms of selecting your fantasy players, as there are too many options to select from. Just like Group A, there is no top-tier national team in this group, but the one with the most powerful squad is Switzerland, and not Canada, as the host. All Swiss defensive options seem safe to go with: G. Kobel ($4.7m-GK), M. Akanji ($5.0m-DEF), N. Elvedi ($4.3m-DEF), R. Rodriguez ($4.5m-DEF) & S. Widmer ($4.2m-DEF) as the latter two might produce some attacking returns in addition to clean sheet points. It would also be difficult to select an attacking option here, since R. Vargas ($6.8m-MID), D. Ndoye ($6.8m-FWD) & B. Embolo ($7.5m-FWD) all shined during the qualifying stage.

A. Davies ($4.9m-DEF), T. Buchanan ($5.5m-FWD) & J. David ($7.0m-FWD) are the best picks from Canada if you plan to invest in them, while 40-year-old E. Dzeko ($6.1m-FWD) with 6 goals, and A. Afif ($5.9m-FWD) (15G+A) & A. Ali ($5.3m-FWD) (13G+A) are the best options from the other two nations based on their performance in the qualification matches.

Best Teams & Players to Target: Group C

(Brazil, Morocco, Haiti & Scotland):

Brazil is obviously the team to invest fantasy-wise in this group with Alisson ($5.0m-GK), Gabriel ($5.5m-DEF) & Marquinhos ($5.2m-DEF) all attractive options in defense, as the two defenders were among the best in their position this season and faced each other in UCL final. Wesley ($4.5m-DEF) is also expected to start as the right full-back, but his minutes are not secured at this moment. Raphinha ($8.2m-MID) with 28 goal contributions for Barcelona & Vinicius Jr ($10.0m-MID) with 32 for Real Madrid are very tempting for those who want to back Selecao’s forwards.

Morocco is the next team with the highest odds of advancing to the next round from this group, with A. Hakimi ($6.0m-DEF) as their most interesting pick and other names like B. Diaz ($6.4m-MID), I. Saibari ($6.8m-MID), A. El Kaabi ($5.9m-FWD) & A. Ezzalzouli ($5.3m-FWD), who all could shine for their clubs this season. Scotland also has A. Gunn ($3.6m-GK), A. Robertson (£m-DEF) & S. McTominay (£m-MID) and they will face Haiti, one of the weakest teams according to FIFA ranking, in their first match of the group.

Best Teams & Players to Target: Group D

(United States, Paraguay, Australia & Turkiye):

Another group with no top-tier national team and here USA has a similar situation as Mexico (in group A) to finish at the top of the group as the host of the tournament. M. Freese ($4.2m-GK), T. Ream ($3.9m-DEF) & A. Freeman ($4.0m-DEF) are all reasonable options from USA defensive line, while C. Richards ($4.1m-DEF) can also offer some attacking returns as he did in the Gold Cup 2025 (2 goals). C. Pulisic ($7.0m-MID) is the talisman of the team and capable of redoing his great performance just like he did in the World Cup 2022.

Turkiye is the other team that you can count on in this group with U. Cakir ($4.2m-GK) & F. Kadioglu ($4.3m-DEF) in defense, and a lot of attacking options A. Guler ($7.0m-MID), H. Calhanoglu ($7.1m-MID), K. Yildiz ($7.0m-MID) & K. Akturkoglu ($6.2m-FWD), who all had great performances for their clubs this season. Paraguay and Australia are the teams that are suggested to skip their players in terms of fantasy, because they are not predicted to perform as good as the other two teams in this group.
