The Differential Article had a good week with 4 of our 6 picks returning with FPL Points. This week, we will be aiming to continue with some strong scores this Gameweek.

  • Noah Okafor – 1 Goal, 2 Bonus – 10 Points
  • James Hill – 1 Clean Sheet, 2 Defcon – 10 Points
  • Danny Welbeck – 1 Assist – 5 Points
  • Jayden Bogle – 1 Assist – 5 Points

That makes it 92/210 picks that have returned FPL Points this season.

In this article, we will be highlighting 5 Players who are less than 10% Owned and 1 Ultra Differential (less than 1% Owned) for all of you as of Wednesday 6thMay, 2026. There are many more whom you guys can consider if you decide not to go with the 6 players mentioned below.

Jeremy Doku – Manchester City – 6.4 Midfielder – 3.5 % TSB

  • Doku now has 2 Goals and an Assist over the last 2 Gameweeks. He has started the last 4 Gameweeks and is clearly in Pep’s good books at the moment. While most managers would go for Cherki, some could take the differential route of Doku.
  • Doku is 4th among City assets for Goal Involvements and 3rd for Assists this season among the City squad. He even earned praise from Pep (a difficult thing to do) after rescuing a draw against Everton.
Doku heatmap since GW32 via FFHUB
  • Doku now has 4 Goals and 8 Assists this season. His stats are impressive considering the fact that he has started 26 Games. He has had 11 Shots on Target, 21 Shots in the Box, and 5 Big Chances. He has created 11 Big Chances and played 50 key passes for his teammates. Doku was a livewire against Everton, and he created a match-leading 4 chances.

Maxence Lacroix – Crystal Palace – 5.2 Defender – 6.7 % TSB –

  • Lacroix has been a rock at the back for Palace this season. He has started 32 Games this season and has earned Defcon points 20 times. He averages 10.79 Defensive Contributions per 90 minutes, which is only behind Canvot among the Palace squad. The advantage he has over the other Palace defensive players is his assurance of minutes in the Double.
  • Lacroix also has the best goal threat among the Palace center backs, as he betters Richards and Canvot for Minutes per shot (129.4), Minutes per Shots in the Box (142.3), and minutes per penalty box touch (41.9). These numbers are only behind Munoz among the Palace defence. Lacroix has 1 Goal and 2 Assists this season in the League, while he has scored twice in the Conference League as well. He has been unlucky not to score more goals in the League, as he has an impressive xG of 2.83 (as a CB) and 6 Shots on Target. He also hit the woodwork in Gameweek 34.
  • For Goal Threat, safety of Minutes, and the potential to earn Defcon points in both games, Lacroix is a good pick-up for Double Gameweek 36.

Bukayo Saka – Arsenal – 9.8 Midfielder – 8.4 % TSB –

  • Saka showed his potential for FPL Points last Gameweek, scoring 11 FPL points (Goal, Assist) in only 45 minutes. Despite having an underwhelming season so far, he has scored 7 Goals and gotten 9 Assists from 29 starts. He also has earned Defcon points 4 times this season.
  • He is a massive Differential at the moment, as most will buy him before Burnley in Gameweek 37. Saka is also top for Goal Involvements and xGI and 2nd best for Goals, xG, and xA among the Arsenal squad.
  • Saka will now face West Ham and Burnley, both of which are ranked in the Bottom 3 for all Defensive Metrics. Arteta will go all out to win the League now that they have a 2-point lead over Manchester City. With set pieces and penalties also in his locker, Saka will become a popular pick very soon. Best to jump on him a week before and enjoy the FPL points that come your way.

Arsenal rest days between games for the rest of the season:

  • Between UCL Semi-final and GW36 (West Ham): 5 days
  • Between GW36 & GW37 (Burnley): 8 days
  • Between GW37 & GW38 (Palace): 6 days

Matheus Nunes – Manchester City – 5.3 Defender – 3.0 % TSB –

  • With O’Reilly having a brilliant season, FPL Managers have been sleeping on Mathues Nunes. He may have scored only once this season, but has had 8 Assists this season, which is 4 more than O’Reilly. City have the highest chance of a Clean Sheet in Double Gameweek 36 as they will try to tighten things up after a poor defensive performance against Everton.
  • Nunes does not have any competition at right back, something which cannot be said for O’Reilly, whether he plays at Left back or in Midfield. He could be an interesting pick for those trying to differentiate from the FPL Template this Gameweek.

Kiernan Dewsbury Hall – Everton – 5.2 Midfielder –  6.2 % TSB –

  • A 5 Million Midfielder with 8 Goals and 6 Assists this season, that too from 28 starts. KDH has been the heartbeat of Everton as he leads all Everton team-mates for Goal involvements, Goals, and is the 2nd best for Assists and xGI. He also has good stats with 14 Shots on Target, 25 Shots in the Box, and 4 Big Chances.
  • KDH has also created 9 Big chances and played 33 key passes for his teammates. He has also picked up the occasional Defcon points this season (earned it 5 times this season)
  • The added advantage Everton assets will enjoy this Gameweek is that they will face a Palace team that will most likely rotate/give rest to many of their players after their Europa Conference League semi-final on Thursday night.

Ultra Differential Picks for FPL GW36 (Under 1 % Ownership)

Jack Hinshelwood – Brighton – 5.1 Midfielder –  0.6 % TSB –

  • 2 Goals in the last 2 Gameweeks, Hinshelwood has been a revelation since earning a regular place in the Starting 11 since Gameweek 26. He ranks top for Big Chances, 2nd for xG, xGI, Shots on Target, and 3rd for Shots in the Box and Goal Involvements among Midfielders in this time period. However, he only has 2 Goals and 3 Assists to show for in this time period.
  • Brighton have a great fixture list to end the season as they face Wolves a team which is ranked in the Bottom 3 for all Defensive Metrics in the League. In Gameweek 37, Brighton then face Leeds, which is ranked in the Bottom 5 for Goals conceded in the League.
  • Despite starting only 17 Games this season, Hinshelwood ranks 3rd best for Goal Involvements among the Brighton squad this season.
Most xGI in the league since GW26, Hinshelwood is 5th!

That’s it for Gameweek 36. We will be back with 6 More Differentials next Gameweek, where we will be hoping to get some positive returns from our current selected Differentials for Gameweek 36.
