FPL GW36 Captaincy Metrics

It’s Manchester City assets all across the board this week for us as Erling Haaland tops the captaincy poll this week with a whooping 73% of the votes, as City face Brentford and Crystal Palace, both at home. Cherki is second with 12% of the votes. Nico O’Reilly comes third, followed by Doku and Semenyo.

Underlying Numbers of the FPL Gameweek 36 Captain Picks

Erling Haaland tops the table with 22 shots in the box, 8 Big chances, and an xG of 3.41 in the last six games.
Nico O’Reilly is 2nd with an xG of 2.44 in the last six games. He’s also had 4 big chances and 13 shots inside the box.
Cherki is 3rd with an xG of 1.75 in the last six games. He’s also had 2 big chances and 16 shots inside the box.
Semenyo stands 4th with an xG of 1.08, managing 10 shots inside the box and 1 big chance in total.
Finally, Doku stands 5th with an xG of 0.57, managing 5 shots inside the box and 1 big chance in total.

Underlying numbers of Candidate’s teams

Manchester City, being the only team in the selection, take the top spot for all of its assets. But it is also important to note that Manchester City are also top of the league in the last 6 games for attack, as they have managed 94 shots in the box, 19 big chances in total and an xG of 12.70.

Fixture Difficulty of the Candidate Team in FPL GW36

In the Third Phase of the Article, we look at the Fixture Difficulty of our 5 Candidates.
We will use DraftHound’s odds for a Team scoring at least one goal in the Gameweek and the Odds of scoring more than 2.0 goals in the Gameweek as a whole.
Since, we are only assessing Manchester City assets, they are the only team being analysed. The Citizens have 99% odds to get at least one goal and 71% odds to get 2 or more Goals in GW36.

Projections Rank of our FPL Gameweek 36

In the fourth phase of the article, I used the Anytime Returns and Projected Points tools available at Fantasy Football Hub. With the help of the Anytime Returns Tool, I have derived the Safety Rank, which helps in determining the Safest Captaincy Option of the week, while I have used the Projected Points Tool to determine the Explosion Rank, which helps in determining the Most Explosive Option of the week.
Haaland is first with an anytime returns projection of 90% and a 15.3 points projection in FPL Gameweek 36.
O’Reilly is second with an anytime returns projection of 85% and a 11.6 points projection in FPL Gameweek 36
Cherki is third with an anytime returns projection of 77% and a 10.8 points projection in FPL Gameweek 36.
Finally, Semenyo and Doku are joint- fourth with an anytime returns projection of 70% and 72% respectively, 10.5 and 10.2 points projection each in FPL Gameweek 36.

Conclusion – Final Rank from our FPL Gameweek 36 Captaincy metrics

Erling Haaland is at the top of the captaincy metrics with the least possible cumulative rank factor of 4. O’Reilly is second with a CRF value of 6. Cherki is third with a CRF value of 8. Semenyo is fourth with a CRF value of 10 and lastly, Doku is last with a CRF value of 11.
