Welcome to the FPL Gameweek 32 Captaincy metrics blog. After a really long break in FPL, we are back with our Captaincy metrics with a full fixture list after the small blank in GW31, where Gordon was the surprise captaincy shout and he duly delivered with a 10-pointer.

Bruno Fernandes tops the captaincy poll this week with a resounding 68% of the votes against Leeds (H). Haaland is second with 10% of the votes, as he travels to a struggling Chelsea, having their own dressing room issues. Welbeck is third in the captaincy poll this week with 7% of the votes. Welbeck’s teammate Van Hecke is 4th as they face Burnley away from home. Bowen rounds up the captaincy picks for GW32, as he welcomes Wolves at home.

Bruno Fernandes is 2nd with an xG of 2.20 in the last six games. He’s also had 3 big chances and 4 shots inside the box.

Welbeck is 3rd with an xG of 1.97 in the last six games. He’s had 3 big chances and has had 7 shots inside the box.

Bowen stands 4th with an xG of 0.44, managing 5 shots inside the box and 0 big chances in total.

Finally, Van Hecke stands last with an xG of 0.12 and 2 shots inside the box and 0 big chances.

Manchester United are third with 52 shots inside the box and 15 big chances during the period, and an xG of 8.36

Brighton are last with 46 shots inside the box and 12 big chances during the period, and an xG of 7.58.

We will use DraftHound’s odds for a Team scoring at least one goal in the Gameweek and the Odds of scoring more than 2.0 goals in the Gameweek as a whole.

Manchester City have 89% odds to get at least one goal and 48% odds to get 2 or more Goals this Gameweek vs Chelsea (A).

Brighton are 2nd with 83% odds of at least 1 goal in this Gameweek vs Burnley (A) and 31% odds of scoring 2 or more goals.

Manchester United are 4th with 84% odds of at least 1 goal in this Gameweek vs Leeds (H) and 29% odds of scoring 2 or more goals.

West Ham are last with 75% odds of at least 1 goal in this Gameweek vs Wolves (H) and 14% odds of scoring 2 or more goals.

In the fourth phase of the article, I used the Anytime Returns and Projected Points tools available at Fantasy Football Hub. With the help of the Anytime Returns Tool, I have derived the Safety Rank, which helps in determining the Safest Captaincy Option of the week, while I have used the Projected Points Tool to determine the Explosion Rank, which helps in determining the Most Explosive Option of the week. 

Erlling Haaland is first with an anytime returns projection of 61% and a 6.6 points projection in FPL Gameweek 32 vs Chelsea (A).

Bruno Fernandes is second with an anytime returns projection of 57% and a 6.2 points projection in FPL Gameweek 32 vs Leeds (H).

Bowen is third with an anytime returns projection of 47% and a 5.4 points projection in FPL Gameweek 32 vs Wolves (H).

Welbeck is fourth with an anytime returns projection of 53% and a 5.8 points projection in FPL Gameweek 32 vs Burnley (A).

Van Hecke comes in last place and has an anytime returns projection of 44% with a points projection of 5.0.
