Top FPL GW30 Differential Picks

Florian Wirtz – Liverpool – 8.3 Midfielder – 9.1 % TSB

  • Do not be fooled by the name of the team, but Spurs have been awful for quite some time now. Over the last 6 Games, Spurs have conceded the most Goals in the League (15), have kept no Clean Sheets, have conceded the most xG (12.47), have conceded the 2nd most Shots (106), the most Shots in the Box (77) and the 2nd most Shots on Target (32). Spurs have also conceded at least 2 Goals in 9 successive Gameweeks.
  • Before Wirtz got injured he had 4 Double Digit returns in his last 9 Gameweeks. He had scored 4 Goals and had an Assist over that period. After starting slowly this season, Wirtz has now adjusted quite well to the League having had 15 Shots on Target, 29 Shots in the Box and 10 Big Chances. He has also created 4 Big Chances and played 44 key passes for his teammates. He is brilliant for bonus and has a share of set pieces in his locker.

Elliot Anderson – Nottingham Forest – 5.5 Midfielder – 7.1 % TSB

  • The person who has benefited the most from Defensive Contributions is Anderson. He has racked up 406 Defensive Contributions, the most in the League and has earned Defcon points in 21 of the 29 matches he has played so far. That is the joint best with Senesi which means he has achieved the additional 2 points in 72.4 % of the Games he has started. He is the 6th best points scorer among FPL Midfielders with 131 Points. He has a solid floor of 4 Points in most Games which is a decent score for a 5.5 Million Midfielder.

Top Players for DEFCON Points this season:

DEFCON Stats from stats.allaboutfpl.com(Fully Free)
  • Anderson has 2 Goals and 3 Assists so far this season, which is a modest output. However, since Dyche was sacked Anderson has been given more license to go forward. He has had 4 Shots and created 2 Big Chances over the last 2 Gameweeks which means his attacking returns against Ciry was not a fluke. With his multiple routes to points, Anderson could be a nice set and forget option for your FPL Teams.

Ismaila Sarr – Crystal Palace – 6.3 Midfielder – 3.8 % TSB

  • Sarr hit a brace last Gameweek which took him to 7 Goals. Sarr now faces a Leeds side which has conceded the 4th most Goals in the League (48) and has conceded the 4th most xG (43.34). They tend to be even worse away from home and have only won a single away Game all season (against Wolves in Gameweek 5).
  • Sarr has the most Goals Involvements for Palace this season (8), despite missing 10 games due to injury & AFCON. He is ranked 2nd best for xG and 3rd best for xGI. Sarr has had 14 Shots on Target, 27 Shots in the Box and 13 Big Chances so far this season.

Top Palace Players for Goal Involvements this season:

Stats from stats.allaboutfpl.com(Fully Free)

Key Stat- Only Palmer(4.71) has a better xG than Sarr(3.91) among Midfielders since Sarr made his return from AFCON in GW23.

Note: Ismaila Sarr and Crystal Palace blank in GW31. So keep that in mind if you are planning to get Sarr this week.

Marcus Tavernier – Bournemouth – 5.3 Midfielder – 1.7 % TSB

  • Tavernier has now started 2 Games in succession and has regained his fitness after his injury layoff. He has 5 Goals and 4 Assists this season. With a share of set pieces and penalties in his locker he could be the go to Midfielder from Bournemouth now. Tavernier is Top for Goal Involvements (9) and xGI (9.49), Goals and xG (6.75) and 3rd best for xA (2.74) among the current Bournemouth squad. How he did not score against Brentford is beyond belief. He accumulated 1.47 xGI in a single game and was horribly unlucky to blank having hit the post twice.

Top Bournemouth Players for Goal Involvements this season:

Stats from stats.allaboutfpl.com(Fully Free)
  • The best fixture to make amends is playing Burnley. Burnley are the worst team for all Defensive Metrics this season. Burnley also concede a lot of shots from the wings (2nd most from both sides). Tavernier has been playing off the left wing and should benefit this Gameweek.

Evanilson – Bournemouth – 6.8 Forward – 2.2 % TSB

  • Similar to Tavernier, Evanilson faces the worst defence in the League – Burnley. Burnley are rock bottom for all Defensive Metrics and concede the most Big Chances in the League. This is where Evanilson comes in, as he has got the most Big Chances, Shots in the Box and Shots on Target among the Bournemouth players. Evanilson also has the most xG among the Bournemouth squad.
  • Evanilson has been unlucky not to score more Goals this season as he has underperformed his xG this season. This could change after he faces Burnley this Gameweek, which is a dream fixture for any attacking player this season.

Ultra Differential Pick for FPL GW30 (Under 1 % Ownership)

Michael Kayode – Brentford – 4.5 Defender –  0.7 % TSB

  • Kayode and Brentford face a Wolves team which is ranked in the Bottom 3 for all attacking metrics. They have also scored the fewest Goals in the League (22) and is actually the most nailed Defender in the Brentford backline. Brentford have the 3rd best Clean Sheet odds this Gameweek.
  • Kayode only has a single Assist this season and no Goals so far this season. However he has been really unlucky not to get more Assists as he has underperformed his xA (2.38) by a lot. Kayode also takes most of Brentford’s long throws which leads to a lot of Headed shots on Goals from a physical Brentford side. Another thing to note is that Wolves are in the Bottom 4 for Headed attempts and Set pieces.

That’s it for Gameweek 30. We will be back with 6 More Differentials next Gameweek where we will be hoping to get some positive returns from our current selected Differentials for Gameweek 30.
