Top FPL GW29 Differential Picks

Iliman Ndiaye – Everton – 6.2 Midfielder – 3.9 % TSB

  • Ndiaye and Everton face a Burnley side who are ranked worst for all Defensive metrics, such as Shots on Target conceded, Shots in the Box conceded, Big Chances, xGC, and non-penalty xGC. Burnley also tends to concede a lot of shots from wide areas, and this again gives Ndiaye an advantage.
  • Ndiaye assumes the role of Everton’s talisman in the absence of Jack Grealish. He plays 90 minutes, is on penalties, and has even earned the additional Defcon points 5 times this season. He averages a healthy 9.94 Defcon points, which also highlights his multiple avenues to FPL points.
  • He has scored 5 Goals and 2 assists this season in 22 games. His stats are decent with 14 Shots on Target, 18 Shots in the Box, 4 Big Chances, and 6 Big Chances created. He ranks Top for xGI (8.13) and 3rd best for Goal Involvements among Everton players this season.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin – Leeds – 5.8 Forward – 9.4 % TSB –

  • DCL has had a brilliant season for Leeds so far, scoring 10 Goals and getting 2 Assists. That puts him Top among the Leeds squad for Goal Involvements. He also ranks Top for xGI (11.61), xG (10.19) despite only starting 20 Games this season. He has plundered 23 Shots on Target, 48 Shots in the Box, and been presented with a massive 22 Big Chances. He even missed a huge chance against City at the weekend. He is the focal point of the Leeds attack and is also on penalties.

  • Leeds face a Sunderland team that has been struggling defensively for quite some time. Sunderland are ranked in the Bottom 3 for Shots conceded, Shots in the Box conceded, and in the Bottom 5 for Shots on Target conceded. They tend to struggle away from home and will also be missing their Defensive talisman – Nordi Mukiele. This could be a good fixture for DCL to get yet another haul.

Cody Gakpo – Liverpool – 7.3 Midfielder – 5.6 % TSB –

  • With Wirtz injured, Gakpo capped off a good weekend with a Goal against West Ham. Gakpo has scored 6 Goals and got 3 Assists so far this season, and he ranks in the Top 3 for Goal Involvements (9), xGI (9.83), xG (5.66), and xA (4.17) among Liverpool teammates. Gakpo has had 13 Shots on Target, 40 Shots in the Box, and 8 Big Chances. He has also created 8 Big Chances.
  • Gakpo now faces a Wolves team that is ranked in the Bottom 4 for all key Defensive Metrics. Although Wolves have improved defensively in 2026, they have still conceded a whopping 51 Goals in the League. With Liverpool starting to click, Gakpo could have another solid game and establish himself in the Liverpool starting 11.

Marcus Tavernier – Bournemouth – 5.3 Midfielder – 1.2 % TSB

  • Tavernier got his first start since returning from injury and promptly picked up an Assist and 7 FPL Points. That takes him to 5 Goals and 4 Assists this season. With a share of set pieces and penalties in his locker, he could be the go-to midfielder from Bournemouth now. Tavernier is top for Goal Involvements (9), 2nd best for xGI (8.02), Goals and xG (5.38), and 3rd best for xA among the current Bournemouth squad.
  • Bournemouth now have 2 solid fixtures against Brentford at home and Burnley away. Brentford conceded a heap of chances and 3 Goals against Burnley, and tend to be worse away from home, while Burnley are the worst team for all Defensive Metrics this season. That makes Tavernier a safe & reliable Budget Midfielder for the upcoming Gameweeks.

Omar Marmoush – Manchester City – 8.3 Midfielder – 2.6 % TSB

  • If Erling Haaland is sidelined for a significant period of time, Marmoush would become an out-of-position midfielder playing as the Center Forward for Manchester City. He has been getting a good amount of game time since coming back from AFCON. He has got a Goal and an Assist in that time.
  • Over the last 2 Gameweeks, he has had 7 Shots in the box. Forest have been struggling defensively of late, and City have been on a hot streak. They are heavy favorites to score 2+ Goals this game, and Marmoush could stand to profit in the absence of Haaland. Even if Haaland starts, Marmoush has been playing as the Auxiliary forward in Pep’s new 4-2-2-2 system.

Ultra Differential Picks for FPL GW29 (Under 1 % Ownership)

Jarrod Branthwaite – Everton – 5.3 Defender –  0.3 % TSB

  • Branthwaite got his 1st goal this season over the weekend against Newcastle and bagged his 2nd attacking return in the last 3 Gameweeks. He also grabbed Defcon points for the 1st time, this season. He also has a strong pedigree of attacking returns, having scored thrice last season for Everton.
  • Branthwaite now faces a Burnley side which is ranked in the Bottom 2 for Headed attempts, something which Branthwaite & the Everton backline can take advantage of this Gameweek. Although Burnley keep on scoring the odd goal every Gameweek, they are statistically the worst side for all attacking metrics in the League. Their luck is bound to come to an end soon.

That’s it for Gameweek 29. We will be back with 6 More Differentials next Gameweek, where we will be hoping to get some positive returns from our current selected Differentials for Gameweek 29.
