After the success of last GW, we are back for another GW, with Manchester City playing Nottingham Forest at home, Liverpool traveling to Wolves and Manchester United traveling to Newcastle for a tricky away day.

FPL GW29 Captaincy Metrics
Ekitike tops the captaincy poll this week with 38% of the votes against Wolves (A). Haaland is 2nd with 17% of the votes. Semenyo is 3rd in the captaincy poll this week with 13% of the votes. Bruno Fernandes, who is up against Newcastle, is 4th, while Virgil Van Dijk rounds up the captaincy picks for GW29.
Note: Haaland was not in the squad against Leeds (GW28) over the weekend due to a minor injury concern, Pep will have his pre GW29 press conference at 12:30 PM BST, we’ll know more then about Haaland’s fitness and the blog will be updated based on the same.

On Haaland’s fitness: “He feels much better, but yesterday we didn’t train and now we have training. We’ll decide today…”

Ekitike tops the table with 15 shots in the box, 8 Big chances, and an xG of 3.09 in the last six games.
Semenyo is 2nd with an xG of 2.82 in the last six games. He’s also had 4 big chances and 11 shots inside the box.
Haaland is 3rd with an xG of 2.09 in the last six games. He’s had 3 big chances and has had 9 shots inside the box.
Bruno stands 4th with an xG of 2,02, managing 4 shots inside the box and 3 big chances in total.
Finally, Van Dijk stands last with an xG of 1.31 and 6 shots inside the box and 2 big chances.

Liverpool take the top spot and have registered 10.51 xG, 19 Big Chances, and 64 Shots inside the box in the last six games.
Manchester City are up next with 57 shots inside the box and 17 big chances during the period, and an xG of 10.41.
Manchester United are last with 50 shots inside the box and 14 big chances during the period, and an xG of 8.29.

Fixture Difficulty of the Candidate Team in FPL GW29
In the Third Phase of the Article, we look at the Fixture Difficulty of our 5 Candidates.
We will use DraftHound’s odds for a Team scoring at least one goal in the Gameweek and the Odds of scoring more than 2.0 goals in the Gameweek as a whole.
Manchester City have 94% odds to get at least one goal and 59% odds to get 2 or more Goals this Gameweek vs Nottingham Forest (H).
Liverpool are 3rd with 84% odds of at least 1 goal in this Gameweek vs Wolves (A) and 31% odds of scoring 2 or more goals.
Manchester United are last with 81% odds of at least 1 goal in this Gameweek vs Newcastle (H) and 13% odds of scoring 2 or more goals.

Projections Rank of our FPL Gameweek 29 Captain Picks
In the fourth phase of the article, I used the Anytime Returns and Projected Points tools available at Fantasy Football Hub. With the help of the Anytime Returns Tool, I have derived the Safety Rank, which helps in determining the Safest Captaincy Option of the week, while I have used the Projected Points Tool to determine the Explosion Rank, which helps in determining the Most Explosive Option of the week.
Ekitike is first with an anytime returns projection of 57% and a 6.1 points projection in FPL Gameweek 29 vs Wolves (A).
Haaland is second with an anytime returns projection of 71% and a 3.7 points projection in FPL Gameweek 28 vs Nottingham Forest (H). Since, there are some concerns over Haaland’s minutes in the upcoming Gameweek, the xMins are reflected in the expected points and thus, the projected points are quite low.
Bruno is joint 2nd and has an anytime returns projection of 49% and a 5.5 points projection.
Virgil and Semenyo are joint-fourth and have an anytime returns projection of 49% and 46%, with a points projection of 5.0 and 5.6 respectively.

Conclusion – Final Rank from our FPL Gameweek 29 Captaincy metrics
Ekitike is top of the captaincy metrics with a cumulative rank factor of 6, Haaland is a close second with a CRF of 9. Semenyo is third with a CRF value of 10. Virgil Van Dijk is fourth with a CRF value of 13 and Bruno is last with a CRF value 16.
