Welcome to this week’s Transfer Targets and Watchlist, where we look at a few players to target ahead of GW31 and also a few players to target and keep an eye on for the upcoming Gameweeks. The list has three players, who are expected to perform well this week, given both form and opposition, these will be “FPL GW31 Transfer Targets”. The list also contains players who should be on your watchlist for the upcoming Game weeks, again, a combination of form and fixtures.

FPL GW31 Transfer Targets
Joachim Andersen – £4.5m – 5.7%
Starting the FPL GW31 Transfer targets list is Fulham’s Danish Wall, Joachim Andersen. If you’re looking to free hit in Blank GW31(or even use a Free Transfer), then Joachim needs to be at the top of your Transfer Targets list. He has played 3 of Fulham’s 5 games(He missed one game due to illness and just made the squad for the following game) and has hit the Defcon threshold all 3 times, averaging 11 Defcon per 90.
He has been a defcon monster the entire season, where in 27 games, he has crossed the threshold 17 times, while averaging 10+ defcons throughout the season. In total, he is the 4th highest DEFCON point accumulator.

With just 5.7% and a price tag of 4.5 million, he is a spicy differential for the blank gameweek.
Harry Wilson – £6.0m – 23.2%
Another player to keep in your FPL GW31 transfer target if you’re looking for a midfielder, Harry Wilson against Burnley can be a huge point scorer. In Fulham’s last 5 games, out of which he has played 4 of them, Wilson has averaged 6.99 points/90 and scored 2 goals and given 2 assists.

Most Points among Midfielders since GW13: Only Bruno Fernandes has more FPL Points than Wilson

He has decent creative numbers, he has created 0.84 Big Chances/90 (4th highest in the last 5 Gameweeks) and averaged 1.39 key passes/90. He also has decent goal threat with 0.37 xGi/90 and 1.05 shots/90.
Wilson in reverse fixture vs Burnley: Goal, 2 Assists and 16 Points
At just 6.0 million, he can free up funds and can also be a good captaincy bet for GW31.
Joao Pedro – £7.8m – 50.3%
I included Joao Pedro in the FPL Transfer Targets list the week before, and I am including him again in GW31. This is not because others are not performing, it is because his numbers are still way too good to ignore and have some juicy fixtures coming up.

In the last 5 gameweeks, Joao Pedro has averaged (among forwards):
- 8.31 points per 90 (Highest)
- 1.23 xGi per 90 (Highest)
- 4.76 shots per 90 (Highest)
- 1.66 shots on target per 90 (2nd)
- 2.88 Big Chances per 90 (1st)
He has also averaged 1.03 Bonus Points per 90, only 1 of 5 forwards to do that in the time frame. His next fixtures have an average rank of 3 (Joint 5th best) as they play Everton (A), Manchester City (H), Man Utd (H), Brighton (A), and Nottingham Forest (H).
A realistic captaincy candidate, get him now!
FPL GW31 Wishlist
Malick Thiaw – £5.0m – 6.0%
With 28 points in his last 5 (9th highest among defenders), Malick Thiaw starts our FPL GW31 Wishlist off. Newcastle have won 3 of their last 5 and are looking towards a few good games in the upcoming Gameweek. If you’re looking for a Newcastle player, keep an eye out for Malick Thiaw.
He has recorded an xGi of 1.92 (5th highest among defenders) and has been one of the reasons for Newcastle’s good run. He has also hit the DEFCON threshold in 4 out of 5 games and is only one of 5 defenders to do it in that timeframe. Keep in mind he played both the Manchester clubs and Chelsea in this timeframe (out of which they won 2).

Newcastle look in good form with recent wins against Manchester United and Chelsea in the league and a very tight game against Barcelona in the UCL, and could be lethal in the upcoming weeks. Keep an eye out for Thiaw, he can be a good and cheap differential going forward.
Anthony Gordon – £7.3m – 5.2%
The second Newcastle player in this FPL GW31 Transfer Targets & Wishlist, Anthony Gordon, has some brilliant underlying numbers that can be exploited. In the last 5 games, Gordon has 2 Goals and 1 assist, followed by 27 points.
In this timeframe, Gordon has averaged 3.22 xG/90 (1st among Midfielders and 3rd overall), 1,69 shots on target (1st among Midfielders), and received 0.89 Big Chances (4th among Midfielders). This is mainly due to his shift to a number 9, where he is showing promising signs.

With an FDR of 3.2, Newcastle have some good fixtures coming through with Sunderland (H), Crystal Palace (A), Bournemouth (H), Arsenal (A), and Brighton (H). Keep an eye out for Gordon, who can be an OOP Differential.
Thiago – £7.2m – 36.0%
The last player in this week’s article is Brentford’s Thiago. With a recent call-up to Brazil, Thiago has been a sensational replacement for Brentford. With 19 goals already this season, Thiago has lit up the premier league, and despite just 18 points in his last 5, he has some good underlying numbers and could be a watch for the upcoming good Brentford run.

Despite just 2 goals in the last 5, Thiago has averaged per 90 (rank among forwards):
- 4.24 xGi (2nd)
- 3 Shots (4th)
- 1.4 Big chances (2nd)
- 1 Headed attempt (6th)
With games against Leeds, Everton, Fulham, and West Ham in their next 5, Thiago is a hold if you already have him and watchlist if you don’t (especially if Haaland’s form continues to slump).
