This season’s last midweek FPL deadline is upon us — which also shows how fast time has flown. A few deadlines ago, Villa had won 12 out of 13 league games, but at last, overperformance has finally caught up with Emery’s men. A few deadlines ago, you couldn’t afford to have Man Utd assets in your team; now you can’t get enough of them. A few deadlines ago, Wirtz was used as an FPL slang; today, he is a serious FPL asset. A few deadlines ago, Haaland was a must-have; today, he has dropped in price thrice owing to mass sell-offs.

FPL GW29 Transfer Tips: Two Players to BUY
Fulham Falcons
Raúl Jiménez (£6.1m) – FWD, Fulham – 2.6% TSB
Harry Wilson (£6.0m) – MID, Fulham – 22.1% TSB
Jiménez faces West Ham at home. In the reverse fixture, he scored against the Hammers. Up next is relegation-battling Nott’m Forest, against whom Jiménez had also scored in the reverse fixture. And then comes the icing on the cake — the plum home fixture against Burnley, for which FPL has officially developed a different FDR and colour code.

He can easily slot in as a replacement owing to his price point. Sometimes FPL makes life really easy for us, doesn’t it?
Wilson was the highest-scoring midfielder between GW10–23, before taking a pitstop for three blanks (two of which came against the Manchester teams). Just when people started losing faith in Wilson, he bounced back with a neat 8-pointer against Sunderland in GW27 and now a 12 pointer against Tottenham in GW28.
He now faces West Ham, Forest and Burnley — against whom he scored 23 points across the three reverse fixtures combined. If you are looking to replace Semenyo or Enzo, Wilson is your man: form and fixtures, all served in a deadly cocktail.
Note: Article was written before the Fulham game vs Spurs, Wilson got a goal & assist but went off with an injury concern. Marco Silva in the post match presser mentioned he has got a knock and that he’ll be assessed in the next few days. Fulham play West Ham on Wednesday, If you’re planning to buy him wait unitl Silva’s pre match press conference to see if he’s okay for GW29. If you already own him, he’s an easy hold.

Liverpool Legends
Virgil van Dijk (£6.1m) – DEF, Liverpool – 29.2% TSB
Hugo Ekitiké (£9.0m) – FWD, Liverpool – 28.0% TSB
In 2026:
• No team has scored more goals from set-pieces (excluding penalties) than Liverpool.
• Liverpool have kept 3 clean sheets (2nd highest in the league).
Van Dijk has also comfortably got most points among Defenders over the last 7 Gameweeks with 50 points- 3 goals, 1 assist and 2 cleansheets.

These two data points make VVD an absolute monster of an FPL points magnet.
Coming to Ekitiké, he now faces Wolves, Spurs and Brighton leading up to BGW31.
In the reverse fixtures, he amassed 27 points courtesy of 4 goal contributions.
• Wolves — bottom of the league
• Spurs — 2nd most league goals conceded in 2026
• Brighton — just 1 clean sheet since GW21
Ekitike is also coming on the back off a 15 point haul in GW27- Goal, 2 Assists and 3 Bonus vs West Ham in GW28.
With Isak out, Ekitiké is primed to be the focal point of Liverpool’s attack in this busy period.

FPL GW29 Transfer Tips: Two Players to HOLD
Declan Rice (£7.5m) – MID, Arsenal – 33.2% TSB
Rice scored 16 points across the two reverse fixtures combined. He is still on set pieces and Arsenal are the set piece kings as we all know.
Arsenal are still top of the league, and Rice is still the 3rd highest-scoring midfielder in the game- Only behind Semenyo and Bruno Fernandes. So hold Rice for a couple of weeks at least. He is not a priority sell at all.

Note: Declan Rice was substituted at 75 minutes vs Chelsea in GW28. Have an eye on the latest updates from Arteta before finalizing your moves. If he is fit, Rice is a hold.

João Pedro (£7.6m) – FWD, Chelsea – 45.9% TSB
Whether you measure from GW16, GW17, GW18, GW19 or any subsequent GW, Pedro remains the highest-scoring forward on a cumulative basis.

Yet, he is being sold off by managers mostly due to his fixtures.
Please note: he doesn’t blank in GW31.
In fact, post his fixture against Arsenal, his run is not as bad as it looks.
• Aston Villa — Pedro scored in the reverse fixture | Only 3 clean sheets since GW14
• Newcastle — Pedro scored in the reverse fixture | Highest goals conceded since GW21
• Everton — just 1 clean sheet in 2026

FPL GW29 Transfer Tips: Two Players to SELL
Nordi Mukiele (£4.6m) – DEF, Sunderland – 11.5% TSB
Sunderland have magnificently imploded over the last few GWs, and so have their assets.
A very popular budget defensive option, Mukiele will be missing for at least “two to four weeks”, according to Régis Le Bris, after he was forced off early with what looked like a calf problem in the defeat to Fulham.
No point holding a precious spot in your line-up for a decently owned, unavailable asset.

Matty Cash (£4.9m) – DEF, Aston Villa – 10.9% TSB
In the last 7 GWs, Cash has returned only once.
If we stretch it back to the last 13 GWs, that number is three.
Villa just lost to 20th-placed Wolves and will now face Chelsea (league), LOSC (Europa), Man Utd (league), LOSC (Europa) and West Ham (league) in a span of 18 days.
Form and fixtures are not in favour of the Polish defender. I would suggest you move on from Cash to better investment ideas (pun intended).
