FPL Gameweek 29 Review
The Gameweek started with a bang when Tarkowski scored and got a clean sheet, but I did not know it would turn so bad after that. With just 54 points this Gameweek, the bleed does not stop. The same guys in attack disappointing again, with just 25 points from the attack of 7 players and Haaland as captain failing yet again.
I can see the Wildcard coming around the corner and feel like a few risks need to be taken, to salvage something from this season.
FPL GW30 Team Reveal
After saving a Free transfer last GW, I have 2 free transfers and can choose to attack the next 2 Gameweeks before I eventually Wildcard in 32. I feel I need to take a few calculated risks for the next 2 Gameweeks and try and gain as much ground as possible.
My eyes are set on Liverpool assets. They have been going fine with a few blips in between, but that’s what makes them less obvious. They play Tottenham (H) and Brighton (A) next 2 weeks, and they both have had some of their own issues. Tottenham especially, look like the worst team in the league right now and they are there for the taking. A triple up on Liverpool is on my mind, especially since I have been missing Ekitike’s points recently.
I do not see myself captaining Haaland at all in the next 2 gameweeks, so might as well move him out. That brings a lot of cash into the table, and Rogers/Rice are on the chopping block. I am leaning Rogers out, which gives me a load of cash for a certain FPL king. You would not have thought that getting in Salah could ever be considered a punt, but here we are. It is a punt and I am hoping he turns back time and delivers for me. I will also be slapping the armband on him.
Of course, this is the punty side of me talking and you don’t get to see that a lot. I could just see myself going for a Rogers to Wilson or Tavernier, but I really am desperate to make the most of these 2 gameweeks before I use the WC.
Captaincy belongs to Haaland at the moment, but that’s because I am confident I will be switching it to the new recruit, Mo Salah.
