Welcome to the FPL Gameweek 25 Captaincy metrics blog. Haaland faces a difficult away fixture against the defending champions, while the on-fire Red Devils face Spurs at Home. League leaders Arsenal welcome Sunderland at home and Joao Pedro and Enzo Fernandez round up the Metrics with an away game vs Wolves. Without further ado, let’s get into it and see who tops the captaincy metrics this week.

Bruno Fernandes tops the captaincy poll this week with 36% of the votes and will be up against Spurs at home. Joao Pedro is 2nd with 25% of the votes and will be up against Wolves (A). Gabriel is 3rd in the captaincy poll this week with 10% of the votes & will be facing Sunderland at home. Enzo Fernandes, who has scored 4 goals and an assist in the last 6 league games, is fourth in the captaincy poll with 6% votes. For the first time in years, Haaland is 5th in the captaincy poll this week as he faces a tough away fixture against Liverpool.

Joao Pedro is 3rd with an xG of 1.39 in the last six games. He’s had 3 big chances and taken 7 shots inside the box during the period.

Gabriel stands 4th with an xG of 0.87, managing 6 shots inside the box and 3 big chances in total.

Finally, Bruno Fernandes stands last with an xG of 0.66 and 4 shots inside the box and 2 big chances. Even though Bruno is last for xG, He is Top for Chances Created (23) among these players.

Manchester United take the fourth spot with 65 shots inside the box and 21 big chances during the period and an xG of 9.75.

Manchester City are last with 67 shots inside the box and 15 big chances during the period and an xG of 9.21.

In the Third Phase of the Article, we look at the Fixture Difficulty of our 5 Candidates. 

We will use DraftHound’s odds for a Team scoring at least one goal in the Gameweek and the Odds of scoring more than 2.0 goals in the Gameweek as a whole.

Arsenal have 90% odds to get at least one goal and 49% odds to get 2 or more Goals this Gameweek vs Sunderland (H). They are Top for both the metrics.

Manchester City are 2nd with 84% odds of at least 1 goal in this Gameweek vs Liverpool (A) and 31% odds of scoring 2 or more goals.

Manchester United are 3rd with 81% odds of at least 1 goal in this Gameweek vs Spurs (H) and 25% odds of scoring 2 or more goals.

Lastly, Chelsea are 4th with 70% odds of at least 1 goal vs Wolves (A) and 12% odds of scoring 2 or more goals.

In the fourth phase of the article, I used the Anytime Returns and Projected Points tools available at Fantasy Football Hub. With the help of the Anytime Returns Tool, I have derived the Safety Rank, which helps in determining the Safest Captaincy Option of the week, while I have used the Projected Points Tool to determine the Explosion Rank, which helps in determining the Most Explosive Option of the week. 

Gabriel is first with an anytime returns projection of 70% and a 6.6 points projection in FPL Gameweek 25 vs Sunderland (H).

Haaland is second and has an anytime returns projection of 62% and a 6.6 points projection, while Brubno is third with anytime returns projection of 52% and a points projection of 6.6.

Teammates Pedro and Enzo are joint 4th. Pedro has an anytime returns projection of 47% and a 4.7 points projection. Enzo has an anytime returns projection of 42% and a points projection of 5.3 vs Wolves (A).

In the Fifth and Final Phase of the article, I have aggregated the Ranks derived above to pull out the Cumulative Rank Factor (CRF). According to our captaincy metrics, the candidate with the lowest cumulative rank factor is the ideal captaincy option. 

Gabriel is top of the captaincy metrics with a cumulative rank factor of 9, Enzo is a close second with a CRF of 10, and Haaland is third with a CRF value of 11. Joao Pedro and Bruno Fernandes come 4th and 5th respectively, with a CRF of 12 and 15.
