FPL GW26 Review
I was expecting a much better Gameweek considering I had triple Arsenal and also a TC Chip activated on Gabriel. Having only managed 65, thanks to a Thiaw double-digit haul, I am on a small red arrow for the week, with my overall rank dropping from 591k to 596k.
DGW26 was a reminder of a very basic law that has been true for FPL since the era of Leighton Baines. “Never Captain a Defender”. Let alone playing the TC chip on one. And I let go of all those rules and played the TC on Gabriel.
Except for Thiaw’s 11-pointer and Rice getting 14 points across the DGW, there is not much to talk about as everyone else blanked or did not come close to a haul.
Now that the TC chip is out of the way, the plan is to dead-end the team into Blank GW31 and (most likely) play the Wildcard in GW32. The preparations for this next phase has to start now.
FPL GW27 Team Reveal
The team looks fine this Gameweek. Arsenal triplets playing Spurs away from home does not sound as great, but looking at Spurs form and performances this season, it has not been a fixture to think about too much. Andersen is not ideal but still playable against Sunderland away, should at least get some DC points if not a Clean sheet. Thiaw is firmly sat on the bench against Manchester City away this week. Tarkowski, I also want to bench this Gameweek against a tough United side that knows how to score this season.
In the midfield, Enzo (Burnley H) and Rogers (Leeds H) play very favourable games this week, while Bruno is a solid pick in any given fixture. With 2.3 million in the bank, I am planning to move Potts out and upgrade him to a Brentford midfielder this week.
Due to the lack of funds, it has to be Dango Ouattara, as Schade is unattainable due to budget constraints.
Captaincy is yet to be decided for this Gameweek, but doubts around Haaland’s fitness may make the decision a bit easier to put the armband on Bruno, but we shall see..
