FPL Fixture Swing Analysis from GW24

Teams to Target | GW24 – GW30

Chelsea

Chelsea’s next four fixtures couldn’t be more appealing: West Ham (H), Wolves (A), Leeds (H), and Burnley (H). Playing three of these four matches at home against bottom-five sides presents a massive opportunity to capitalize on this favourable run.

FPL Fixture Swing Analysis from GW24 - Chelsea

Note: Chelsea could have a double in GW26 with the EVE(A) fixture moving from GW31 to GW26 if Chelsea reach the League cup final

Fixture Congestion & Rotation Threats: Chelsea’s second leg of the Carabao Cup against Arsenal (A) is sandwiched between the West Ham and Wolves games. This is followed by a quick three-day turnaround for Leeds and an FA Cup matchup against Hull City. These cup matches may necessitate rotation, particularly for assets like João Pedro or the injury-prone Cole Palmer.

Chelsea finished in the top eight in the UCL league stage, directly qualifying for the Round of 16, so they’ll have two games less. If the Blues beat Arsenal in the Carabao Cup semi-finals(Currently trailing 3-2), their GW31 fixture vs Everton will move to GW26, resulting in a double gameweek for Chelsea & Everton.

Key Player Considerations: Enzo Fernández remains a standout option, especially since he takes penalties in Cole Palmer’s absence. The defense has also performed well this season, making Trevoh Chalobah and Robert Sánchez solid picks.

Joao pedro could also be a decent shout as an Ekitike replacement for the fixture run, he has hit form right before the fixture run with 20 pts in the last two games(2 goals, assist), he does have competiton from Delap. Palmer‘s injury concerns means he is an avoid until his fitness improves.

Bournemouth

The Cherries face an enticing run: Wolves (A), West Ham (A), Sunderland (H), and Burnley (A). Over the next few gameweeks, they avoid all current top-seven teams except for Aston Villa. However, with Semenyo’s departure and Tavernier’s injury, reliable options are becoming more limited.

FPL Fixture Swing Analysis from GW24 - Bournemouth

Fixture Congestion & Rotation Threats: Bournemouth has no midweek fixtures scheduled for the rest of the season, allowing them to focus entirely on the Premier League.

Key Player Considerations: Kroupi Jr. remains an excellent value pick at £4.6m given his goal threat. Evanilson is another strong option, though he comes with a higher price tag.

Defensively, Marcos Senesi, the DEFCON monster, could offer managers great rotational flexibility. Senesi’s CB partner, James Hill(3.9 Million), is worth monitoring. He has started & played 90 minutes in the last five games and hit DC Points in four of those games.

Crystal Palace

Palace’s brilliant start to the season has recently stalled, as they have gone winless in their last eight Premier League games. However, a turnaround could be on the horizon with an upcoming run of: Nott’m Forest (A), Brighton (A), Burnley (H), Wolves (H), and Leeds (H).

FPL Fixture Swing Analysis from GW24 - Crystal Palace

Fixture Congestion & Rotation Threats: A major factor in Palace’s recent slump was fatigue and a lack of rotation during a heavy fixture schedule. With no cup matches and only a potential Conference League campaign to manage, the squad should be able to get back on track.

Key Player Considerations: Ismaïla Sarr’s return should boost their attacking threat and provide better service to Jean-Philippe Mateta. Daniel Muñoz remains a top pick for this run, alongside budget-friendly defender Chris Richards.

Arsenal (*Potential Double GW)

Arsenal’s unbeaten home run has ended, and despite some shaky recent performances, they remain a premier FPL target with attractive fixtures: Leeds (A), Sunderland (H), Brentford (A), and Everton (H).

Doubling or even tripling up on the Arsenal defense is a viable strategy for this run. Furthermore, if the Gunners progress to the Carabao Cup final, they will have a Double Gameweek 26 (Brentford (A) and Wolves (A)). This would make their assets even more attractive, possibly even as Triple Captain candidates. With Manchester City now only four points behind, a sharp focus on the league is expected.

FPL Fixture Swing Analysis from GW24 - Arsenal

Fixture Congestion & Rotation Threats: Having secured a spot in the Champions League top eight, Arsenal advances directly to the Round of 16. Their only midweek distractions are the Carabao Cup (where they hold a one-goal advantage over Chelsea) and the FA Cup.

Key Player Considerations: Gabriel is the go-to pick. Beyond him, managers should choose based on their team structure, between Jurriën Timber, Declan Rice, Bukayo Saka, and David Raya.

Aston Villa

Unai Emery has guided Villa to 3rd place, level on points with Manchester City with less than half the season remaining. Their consistency has been remarkable. They have two particularly attractive fixtures: Leeds (H) and Wolves (A) – nestled among other decent matchups.

FPL Fixture Swing Analysis from GW24 - Aston Villa

Fixture Congestion & Rotation Threats: Villa are competing in the FA Cup and have qualified for the Europa League Round of 16 (currently in the top eight). However, transfer links to Tammy Abraham have raised questions regarding Ollie Watkins’ future minutes.

Key Player Considerations: Morgan Rogers is the standout Villa asset to target. Watkins is a riskier pick given his high price, while Emiliano Buendía serves as an intriguing differential alternative to Rogers. Matty Cash is the safest option to consider from Villa’s defence.

Manchester United

Manchester United have shocked fans with their recent performances under Michael Carrick. Back-to-back victories against Manchester City and Arsenal have significantly increased their appeal for FPL managers. Their upcoming fixtures: Fulham (H), Spurs (H), West Ham (A), Everton (A), and Crystal Palace (H) – offer high potential given their current form.

FPL Fixture Swing Analysis from GW24 - Man United

Fixture Congestion & Rotation Threats: United’s sole focus for the remainder of the season is the Premier League, as they have no cup or European commitments to manage.

Key Player Considerations: Bruno Fernandes has been the picture of consistency, returning points in all three games since his injury comeback. Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha are also performing well. Benjamin Šeško is one to watch if his minutes increase, along with Amad Diallo as his role develops. Meanwhile, Patrick Dorgu has surged into the spotlight with two goals in his last two games.

Man City (GW26 onwards)

Once they navigate games against Spurs and Liverpool, City’s fixtures improve drastically for the following seven: Fulham (H), Leeds (A), Nott’m Forest (H), and West Ham (A). A convincing win against Wolves has restored confidence, and Pep Guardiola has recently addressed the team’s need to fix their dip in form.

FPL Fixture Swing Analysis from GW24 - Man City

Fixture Congestion & Rotation Threats: As always, the squad is prone to “Pep Roulette.” They have a packed midweek schedule with the Carabao Cup & FA Cup. In better news, Man City have finished in the top eight in the UCL league stage, directly qualifying for the Round of 16, so they’ll have two games less.

The Blues cannot double in GW26 because even if they reach the league cup finals, their GW31 opponents are involved in the Conference League playoffs.

Key Player Considerations: Erling Haaland remains a top-tier option. However, Phil Foden and other midfielders have become risky given their price points. Defensively, Marc Guéhi and Matheus Nunes are the standout choices.

Liverpool (GW26 onwards)

Liverpool’s schedule eases starting in GW24, with a major swing in GW26: Sunderland (A), Nott’m Forest (A), West Ham (H), Wolves (A), Spurs (H), and Brighton (A). Mohamed Salah’s return could stabilize the team and boost their attacking threat.

FPL Fixture Swing Analysis from GW24 - Liverpool

Fixture Congestion & Rotation Threats: In the short term, Liverpool’s schedule remains relatively light, with only the FA Cup Round 4 to navigate before they transition into their Champions League round of 16 fixtures (as they currently sit in the top 8).

Liverpool have finished in the top eight in the UCL league stage, directly qualifying for the Round of 16, so they’ll have two games less.

Key Player Consideration: It may be worth holding Dominik Szoboszlai or Florian Wirtz if you have other fires to put out. Playing them against Newcastle at Anfield before benching them for the City game is a viable strategy.

However, moving on from Hugo Ekitiké due to his limited minutes could be beneficial. Keep a close eye on Salah, who could be a massive differential captain during this run.

Fulham (GW 27 onwards)

Fulham are currently 7th and have sneaked into a somewhat comfortable spot in the league. They have a lucrative set of fixtures starting GW27 : Sunderland (A); Spurs (H); West Ham (H); Forest (A); and Burnley (H). Given their form, they are worth holding even through their next three fixtures.

FPL Fixture Swing Analysis from GW24 - Fulham

Fixture Congestion & Rotation Threats: Their schedule is relatively clear, with only FA Cup ties to navigate.

Harry Wilson points since GW13: 10, 8, 8, 16, 2, 5, 2, 6, 9, 2 and 10. He’s had only 3 blanks in the last 11 games, no player has more pts during this period

Key Player Consideration: Harry Wilson is in incredible form. Joachim Andersen is a great budget defender for those eyeing a future Bench Boost.

Brentford (GW27 onwards)

Just one spot behind Fulham, the Bees have been consistently delivering. From GW27, their run: Brighton (H), Burnley (A), Wolves (H), and Leeds (A) – is too good to ignore. Managers should consider saving transfers to bring in Brentford assets soon.

FPL Fixture Swing Analysis from GW24 - Brentford

Fixture Congestion & Rotation Threats: Their schedule is relatively clear, with only FA Cup ties to navigate.

Key Player Consideration: Managers with money tied up in Igor Thiago should hold him. Kevin Schade is emerging as a great option, while Nathan Collins or Kelleher are solid defensive considerations.

Nottingham Forest (GW24 – GW26)

Despite sitting near the relegation zone, Forest have shown glimpses of improvement recently. Their upcoming run against Palace (H), Leeds (A), and Wolves (H) presents a decent window of opportunity, making their budget-friendly assets worth a look for managers with a spare transfer or two.

FPL Fixture Swing Analysis from GW24 - Nottingham Forest

Fixture Congestion & Rotation Threats: European commitments will likely test their squad depth, potentially leading to some rotation in the league. Forest finished only 13th in the UEL league phase, and this means they’ll now have two playoff games.

Key Player Consideration: Elliot Anderson (£5.3m) is the standout choice; his 97 points so far highlight his value as a consistent producer. Defensively, Neco Williams and Nikola Milenković offer the most reliable routes into their backline.

No midfielder has more DEFCON points than Anderson so far this season

Conclusion

While the immediate fixture swings starting in GW24 (Chelsea, Villa, Palace, Arsenal) are incredibly tempting, it is vital to keep an eye on the second wave of swings (Fulham, Brentford, City) to ensure long-term success.
