FPL GW21 Transfer Targets
Gabriel – ยฃ6.6m – 27.2%
Starting this list of best FPL GW21 transfer targets is the best defensive asset you can currently own in the game, Gabriel. A set-piece monster, Gabriel already has 5 G/A this season, while averaging more than 8 points per game this season.
Gabriel has had a stunning season so far, averaging 9 defcons per 90, while also averaging 0.84 shots per 90 and accumulating an xG of 2.1 in his 13 starts. With just 14 goals conceded this season, Arsenal have once again shown the league why they are considered the team with the best defense around the world.

They also have a run of good fixtures coming up, starting with a weak and out-of-sorts Liverpool team in GW21, followed by Nottingham Forest(A), Manchester United(H), Leeds United(A), and Sunderland(H).

Following the highest scoring defender in the game is the highest scoring midfielder in the game this season, Declan Rice. 119 points in 1,605 minutes this season, Rice has blanked only 5 times in 16 starts, highlighting his incredible form.

Averaging 1.51 shots, 1.79 key passes, 0.45 big chances created, and around 11 Defcons per 90, Rice has scored 4 goals and assisted a further 7 this season, most of those assists coming due to his set-piece responsibilities.
An Arsenal triple-up is common right now, but you have the space, get Declan in!

Igor Thiago – ยฃ7.0m – 29.4%
Third on this list of best FPL GW21 transfer targets, Brentford’s new striker has been a revelation. While many expected them to miss Bryan Mbeumo, Igor Thiago has stepped up and made every opportunity count this season. With 14 goals and a single assist this season in 19 starts, only Haaland has outscored Thiago this season.

The Brazilian has averaged 2.37 shots, xGi of 0.6, received 1.29 big chances per 90, and is also the primary penalty taker for the team this season.
In the upcoming gameweeks, Brentford play Sunderland(H), Chelsea(A), Nottingham Forest(H), Aston Villa(A), and Newcastle(A), all games in which Thiago is more than capable of scoring. Get him in, if you have not already.
