FPL GW19 Review

GW19 was another horrendous Gameweek where the Average score was just 40, with none of the captaincy picks doing well as Haaland, Cunha and Ekitike all blanked.

I had another poor Gameweek where I only managed to score 36 points. I feel particularly unlucky as the popular Arsenal defenders Jurrien Timber (6.4m) and Gabriel (6.5m) returned with a 9-pointer and 15-pointer, respectively. Both of these players were subbed off as Arsenal were cruising against Aston Villa. However, Raya (6.0m) and Hincapie (5.4m), stayed on and conceded a stoppage time goal, wiping off the clean sheets and giving a total of 4 points. I switched off the television in disgust at 4 in the morning in my timezone, after I saw that happen. Elsewhere, I transferred in Anthony Gordon for Antoine Semenyo, and both the players returned with an assist each. I am happy about the move as Semenyo seems destined to go to Manchester City soon, and Gordon has a good run of games coming up. I went up against my Captaincy metrics to captain Haaland over Cunha, although they both blanked and looked really poor. It just seems to be one of those Gameweeks where there was not much information collated from most of the games.

All this fiasco with so many picks underperforming led me to my worst Gameweek rank of the season (breaking the record of last GW..) of 8,567,879. I fell to 138,791 in the word overall and now it is time to stop the bleed and get some green arrows going..

FPL GW20 Team Reveal

Carrying 2 FT and 0.2 in the bank, I made my moves on Friday evening. I got rid of David Raya and Nico O’Reilly, who was subbed off before the 60-minute mark, for Bart Verbruggen and Gabriel for free. The initial plan was to replace Hincapie for Gabriel, however it seems like Calafiori is still out of the game against Bournemouth and I am hoping Hincapie keeps his place on the Left side of the defence for one more Gameweek.

The team looks fine, although playing Andersen against Liverpool at home, is not the most ideal situation. I can only hope that he gets some points and hits the Defcon at the very least.

My captaincy is well placed on Haaland again. Chelsea do not have an established coach on their sidelines for the game and Pep would really want to win this game and try and stay close to Arsenal, after dropping crucial points against Sunderland. Bukayo Saka is my vice-captain as he seems to be dodging points and surely, there is a haul coming.

Good luck everyone and wishing you all some green arrows this Gameweek!
