FPL GW19 Transfer Targets

Nick Woltemade – £7.4m – 19.0%

FPL GW19 Transfer Targets- Woltemade

Starting the list off this week is Newcastle’s ace forward Nick Woltemade. Newcastle is the team to target for the next few Gameweeks as their fixtures take a swing with them facing Burnley(A), Crystal Palace(H), Leeds United(H) and Wolves(A).

9 G/A in 15 appearances (1,162 minutes) in his first season as a Magpie, Woltemade has had a brilliant start to life in the Premier league. He has 3 G/A in his last five games and faces 2 teams in Burnley and Wolves in his next four games who have conceded some of the highest xG to strikers.

A true target man, he shares penalty duties when Gordon is not on the pitch and could be the man to have going ahead.

Kevin Schade – £7.0m – 1.3%

FPL GW19 Transfer Targets- Schade

Coming off a fresh haul of 20 points against Bournemouth, second player on the list of best FPL GW19 transfer targets is Kevin Schade.

Schade Stats vs Bournemouth(GW18):

  • Shots inside the box- 5
  • Big Chances- 4
  • xG- 2.74
  • xGI- 2.8
  • Goal Involvements- 3
  • FPL Points- 20

Schade has a run of good fixtures extending till GW23, where he plays Tottenham(H), Everton(A), Sunderland(H), Chelsea(A) and Nottingham Forest(H) and could possibly haul again in this run. Schade has been in great form this season with only Bruno Fernandes having a higher xG than him among midfielders.

Patrick Dorgu – £4.1m – 3.9%

FPL GW19 Transfer Targets- Dorgu

The last player on the list of FPL GW19 transfer targets is another player who hauled last week. Coming fresh off his 17 points haul, where he featured OOP against Newcastle as a right-winger, Dorgu is a brilliant short term shout.

In Mbeumo’s and Amad Diallo’s absence, Dorgu has featured as a right-winger for United as opposed to a right-back. In the last 2 gameweeks, where he played all 180 minutes, he has averaged 1.50 shots, 2 key passes, 1 big chances created and 9.5 defcons per 90.

In the next 3 Gameweeks, Dorgu plays Wolves(H), Leeds United(A) and Burnley(H). At just 4.1 million and an ownership of just 3.9%, there are strong reasons why 165,125 people have already brought him in this week. It is important to note that if Dorgu gets another yellow card before the GW20 fixture, he will be suspended, so watch out for that!

FPL GW19 Watchlist

Dominic Calvert-Lewin – £5.8m – 8.8%

First player on the watchlist ahead of GW19 is Leeds United’s in-form striker, Dominic Calvert-Lewin. 7 goals in his last 6 appearances, Calvert-Lewin has outscored everyone in that time period. While his upcoming fixtures are not the easiest with Leeds facing Liverpool(A), Manchester United(H), Newcastle(A) and Fulham(H), it is hard to see Calvert-Lewin’s red hot form stopping.

Key Stat:

Erling Haaland. Semenyo. Thiago. Only 3 Players have scored more goals than Calvert Lewin this season. ⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️ in the last six matches for DCL ✅

In the last 6 Gameweeks, Calvert-Lewin has averaged 2.8 shots, has gotten 1.5 big chances, xGi of 0.9, and key passes of 0.75 per 90, which are expectational numbers for a striker whose team currently sits in 16th position in the table.

Top Players for xG over the last 6 Gameweeks:

At just 5.8 million, he could be a solid enabler if you’re looking to have both Saka and Palmer in your team in the upcoming Gameweeks.

Rayan Cherki- £6.7m – 11.1%

FPL GW19 Watchlist- Cherki

Second player on the list and another player in exceptional form is Rayan Cherki. Coming off a fresh haul of 13 points against Nottingham Forest in Gameweek 18, where he scored and assisted one each.

Given his form and favorable fixtures for Manchester City, Cherki would typically be a transfer target, however they play three games in six days and given Pep Guardiola’s track record, there’s a good chance Cherki gets rotated.

Data from FFHub. FFHUB is running a Christmas offer: Sign up now & if your rank doesn’t improve by 8th Jan, your subscription for next season is free. T&C Apply. Link to sign up & claim the offer.

Having said that, Cherki has been the most brought in player this week with 236k transfers in. In the last 4 Gameweeks, he has played 328 minutes, averaged 1.65 shots, 0.8xGI, 4.94 key passes, 1.10 big chance created per 90.

Most FPL Assists this season:

  • Cherki- 8
  • Rice- 7
  • Minteh- 7
  • Bruno Fernandes- 7

Another mid-priced player who is a creative genius can enable you to bring in both Saka and Palmer to your team in the coming games. Keep an eye out for rotation and you could have one of the most creative players in the league in your team.

Keane Lewis-Potter – £4.9m – 1.7%

FPL GW19 Watchlist- Lewis Potter

Last player in this week’s article and another defender playing OOP, Keane Lewis-Potter should be one to keep an eye on.

Since playing as a winger, Potter has averaged 1.5 shots, 1.12 key passes, 0.38 big chance created and 0.4 xGi per 90. Notably he also had that 21 points haul against Wolves in Gameweek 17. Brentford have good fixtures coming up with Tottenham(H), Everton(A), Sunderland(H), Chelsea(A) and Nottingham Forest(H) in the next five.

An OOP defender priced at just 4.9 million with an ownership of below 2%, Lewis-Potter could be a player to keep an eye out on in the upcoming Gameweeks.
