  • 4-2-3-1

Arsenal GW16 Predicted lineup:

Raya

White – Timber – Hincapie – Lewis-Skelly

Rice – Zubimendi – Odegaard

Saka – Gyokeres – Eze

Notes/Injury Updates:

  • Calafiori will miss this weekend’s clash against Wolves through suspension after picking up his 5th yellow card last gameweek.
  • Gyokeres started Arsenal’s midweek UCL win over Club Brugge. He is expected to return to the Premier League starting XI this Sunday.
  • Rice sat out the trip to Belgium due to illness. While Arteta has not provided a definitive answer about his availability, we’re expecting to be recovered and ready.
  • Arteta on Rice: “Letโ€™s see how he is today. He was ill, thatโ€™s an illness, normally in a few days it gets resolved, but we have to wait and see. “
  • Saliba is nearing a return and could be available for selection this weekend. It remains to be seen.
  • Arteta on Saliba: “We have to wait and see. Yesterday we didnโ€™t train, so we have an extra day between this afternoon, letโ€™s see if he can be available or not. It remains the same. If you asked me for the Everton game, I think he will be fit; for tomorrow, I donโ€™t know. “
  • Arteta on Timber, who was also left behind for the trip to Belgium: “Again, depends how he feels today. It was a knock that he picked, and he wasnโ€™t feeling comfortable. So again, I think itโ€™s a matter of days, but whether itโ€™s tomorrow or not weโ€™ll see. “
  • Trossard is in a similar situation, with a return imminent.
  • Arteta on Trossard: “Again, another one that is a matter of days. It sounds boring, but itโ€™s the reality, so we donโ€™t know.”
  • Gabriel Jesus, who’s been out for almost a year with an ACL tear, returned to action midweek and should be in the squad this weekend.
  • Mosquera, Gabriel, and Havertz are out.

  • Emery: “We need now to know how they are, the players after yesterday – the players who played and the players who were injured. We are training now and we are going to train tomorrow morning. And then travel to London. I donโ€™t know. But, of course, how we are performing collectively when there are some players out, being injured, small or long injuries, I am so happy with how they are responding. We need every player ready to play.โ€
  • Mings and Barkley are out.

They are definitely options to be in the squad, so we have decisions to make. It will mean some players will be out of the squad, but I think it’s a positive thing that we have to make decisions on which players are in the squad and which players are not.”
“Kaoru has overcome the pain issue and he trained well this week, so he will be an option.”
  • The bad news – Stefanos Tzimas is out for the rest of the season due to his knee injury, Hurzeler has revealed.

  • Parker on team news: “We’ve no new injuries. It’ll be a similar squad to the one that went to Newcastle last weekend. We’ve got a couple of suspensions (Pires and Walker) and Hannibal is serving his ban, but other than that, we’re where we were ahead of Newcastle – the boys are looking forward to it.

Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace GW16 Predicted Formation

  • 3-4-2-1

Crystal Palace GW16 Predicted lineup:

Henderson

Guehi – Lacroix – Richards

Clyne – Hughes – Wharton- Mitchell

Kamada – Pino

Mateta

Crystal Palace Notes/Injury Updates:

  • Munoz is out for a few weeks as he is set to undergo knee surgery. He missed GW15 after enduring a knee injury.
  • Glasner on Munoz ahead of their Europa League midweek fixture against Shelbourne: “So we have some bad news on Daniel Muรฑoz, he has to undergo surgery – knee surgery. So we’re missing him for a few weeks. The prognosis is four to six weeks. Then he should be ready to play. But again, always when you have to undergo the surgery, you never know. I had a few in my career, that’s why I’m always a little bit cautious. But it doesn’t look too serious.”

On finding solutions at right-back: “I like to be creative. When I arrived there were plenty of injuries and I played Clyney as a right centre-back. He did very well. So I like to be creative. We could play a winger there, maybe an inverted player there [right wing-back], maybe we swap Borna Sosa or Justin Devenny onto this side, so we have a few options. We have to be creative, but I like this.”
  • Sarr has been sidelined since the end of last month with an ankle injury, while Mateta missed Palace’s midweek clash against Shelbourne due to swelling in his knee. However, the pair could be available this weekend, according to Glasner, and we’re expecting Mateta to start.
  • Glasner said: “All who played should be fine, and then we hope that JP [Mateta] and Ismaรฏla Sarr are available for the game. Of course, we need to train with them and see if there is any reaction, but it looks good and looks okay right now. It will give us a few more options and it’s important to have these options against City.”

Everton

Everton GW16 Predicted Formation

  • 4-2-3-1

Everton GW16 Predicted lineup

Pickford

O’Brien – Tarkowski – Keane – Mykolenko

Gueye – Garner

Ndiaye – Dewsbury-Hall – Grealish

Barry

Everton Injury News/Updates:

  • Gueye and Iroegbunam have returned from suspension, and the former should start this weekend.
  • Keane returned to fitness and started last weekend, so he’s back as well.
  • Branthwaite (hamstring) and Rohl (hernia) have made progress but are still unavailable.
  • Moyes on the duo: “Jarrad and Merlin are back on the grass and doing some work.ย Merlin is obviously much further on than Jarrad but they’re both back on the grass and hopefully we’re starting to see a chance to get them back soon. It would be a big help.”
  • Moyes on Gueye and Ndiaye, who will depart Merseyside for AFCON after this weekend’s clash against Chelsea: “We have to respect completely the Africa Cup of Nations. The players will go to play in the tournament for their countries and rightly so. It’s a great thing they get selected for their countries and we hope they do well. Obviously, I don’t think it’s something that’s ever pleased any manager at any club that you have to lose your players, but we’ve got them for this weekend, then we’ll wish them well.”
  • Coleman is out.

Fulham GW16 Predicted formation:

4-2-3-1

Fulham GW16 Predicted lineup:

Leno

Tete – Bassey – Andersen – Castagne

Berge – Iwobi

H.Wilson – King Chukwueze

Jiminez

Latest Updates:

  • Muniz and Robinson are out.
  • Robinson has returned to full training. Silva on Robinson in his pre-Burnley presser: “He is training with the team, he is progressing well, he is doing well. Now is a matter of time when we are going to decide for him to be in contention or not. We have another session tomorrow, we are going to see, but last week was a good week for him in terms of individual work, and step by step to adjust things and to be with the team. This week he has been with the team as well. Another session tomorrow, letโ€™s see how heโ€™s going to react to a complete week, and after we are going to take a decision on him.โ€
  • Sessegnon missed last weekend’s defeat to Palace due to a hamstring injury. He is out for Saturday’s clash against Burnley.
  • Silva on Sessegnon: “He is going to be out of the [Burnley] game. It is the type of situation that we have to see day by day, how he’s going to react. Itโ€™s not something very serious. He felt something really minor, had some exams. He is a player, as you know, because of his historic situation with injuries in the past, we have to be more careful with him than probably with another one. That is the reason why probably it will take a little bit more time. But I don’t think that it is going to be something very, very long. But for the next game he is going to be out.โ€

Leeds

Leeds GW16 Predicted formation

  • 4-3-3

Leeds GW16 Predicted lineup:

Perri

Bogle – Struijk – Rodon – Gudmundsson

Tanaka – Ampadu- Stach

Aaronson – Calvert-Lewin – Okafor

Leeds team news:

  • Dan James, Sean Longstaff, andย Nmecha are out.
  • Farke on team news: “Not confident at all, so he [Nmecha] will also miss this game. He’s still a bit symptomatic, also we had to rescan and yes, it’s still not completely healed and he’s definitely out for this game. Of course I would like to have them back for the Crystal Palace game, but each and everyday matters and we decide from game to game. He’s doing individual work with our rehab coaches and for that, no chance to be involved for this weekend.”
“It’s always a bit difficult because Sean Longstaff, Daniel James and also Lukas are all important players for us, and of course you would prefer to have them all available. For that, it’s always a chance also for a different player to shine and for that, we don’t use this as an excuse.”
“We have not done this in the last weeks when Sean or Dan was not available and we we won’t use the excuse or feeling sorry for ourselves right now. We travel with what we’ve got and then we also have a chance. During training there are some hits and knocks, but not too bad. So everyone else should be available.”

Liverpool

Liverpool GW16 Predicted Formation:

4-2-3-1

Liverpool GW16 Predicted lineup:

Alisson

Gomez – Konate – Van Dijk – Kerkez

Mac Allister – Gravenberch

Szoboszlai – Ekitike – Wirtz

Isak

Liverpool Team News and Key Notes:

  • Salah has been included in the squad to face Brighton this weekend! Whether he will start is an entirely different question, though.
  • Slot on Salah in his pre-Brighton presser: “I think we have decided as a club and I was part of that decision not to take him to the Inter Milan game. I’m always in contact with them, but when it comes to the decision-making of the line-up or the squad, they always leave that open to me. That’s not to say I don’t talk to them โ€“ mainly Richard [Hughes], by the way, not Michael [Edwards]. But I talk to him [Richard] about so many things. But the decision to play a player or to have him in the squad, as I’ve experienced until now and I think this will never change, is entirely up to me.”

Slot on if Salah will be involved:
“I will have a conversation with Mo this morning and the outcome of that conversation determines how it will look tomorrow.”
“What I need is a conversation with him and I think the next time I speak about Mo should be with him and not in here. You can keep on trying but there is not much more to say about it [other than] that I speak to him today and, like I said, the outcome of that conversation determines how things will look tomorrow.”
  • Chiesa missed Liverpool’s midweek UCL game due to illness but he’s available now, according to Slot, who said, “Federico is not ill anymore. He trained yesterday and he trained today again, so I assume he’s ready to be in the squad tomorrow again.”
  • Gakpo is out for a few weeks after picking up an injury last weekend.
  • Slot on Gakpo and Endo: “It’s going to be weeks. With Cody it’s a muscle injury and Wata is an ankle injury.”
  • As a result, Ekitike and Isak are expected to start together against Brighton on Saturday. However, Isak apparently endured a knock midweek against Inter that could render him unavailable, so it may not be the case.
  • Slot on Isak: “Alex also got a knock in the first half, so let’s see how he has recovered from that today – if he’s able to start tomorrow and, if he’s able, I make the decision to start them [Isak and Hugo Ekitike] again together, or we do it in a different way.”
  • Bradley is suspended after picking up his 5th yellow of the season against Leeds last weekend. Gomez should start in his place.
  • Frimpong is out.

  • John Stones missed their 2-1 win over Real Madrid in the UCL this week due to a thigh injury and is doubtful this weekend.

  • Rodri and Kovacic are out.

โ€œI expect today to have a decision or maybe tomorrow but we are waiting until the last moment to have all the players available, to choose the best team to start the game.โ€
  • Amorim on De Ligt’s injury: “I think he has something in his back, I donโ€™t know for sure. Sometimes you see itโ€™s not a big injury because he finished the game quite well against Crystal Palace, but he has some pain. You sometimes think it will be solved during this week, but sometimes he feels a little bit of pain and we have to be a little careful with that.”

It’s nice seeing some of these faces who are very good players coming back to full fitness and on the bench or starting of course.”
