FPL GW11 Transfer Targets & Watchlist Based on Eye Test & Stats

Welcome to this week’s transfer targets and watchlist, where we look at a few players to target ahead of GW11 and also a few players to target and keep an eye on for the upcoming Gameweeks. The list has three players, one forward, defender, and midfielder each, who are expected to perform well this week, given both form and opposition, these will be “Transfer Targets”. The list also contains one forward, defender, and midfielder each who should be on your watchlist for the upcoming Gameweeks, again a combination of form and fixtures.

FPL GW11 Transfer Targets

Jarrod Bowen – £7.7 – 7.6%

FPL GW11 Transfer Targets- Jarod Bowen

The first player of this week’s article is Jarrod Bowen. Despite West Ham being 18th, Bowen has 4 goal contributions in 10 game weeks. He averages 2.3 shots, generates 0.13 xG, 1.1 Key Passes, 0.9 bonus points and 4.40 points per 90.

Key Stat: Only Haaland(43) and Mateta(31) have more Shots than Bowen(23) among Forwards so far this season.

Bowen is probably a one-week punt if you have transfers to burn or if you already own him, and you can then upgrade to either of Mateta, Woltemade, Welbeck, even Joao Pedro for that matter. Burnley have also looked vulnerable to strikers and central midfielders this season with Richarlison (2), Fernandes, Mbeumo, Haaland(3), Gyokeres and Rice getting goal contributions against them. Even if Wilson starts as ST, Bowen will more or less play like an inside forward like he did vs Newcastle.

Burnley Defense Rank this season:

  • Shots conceded- 20th
  • Shots inside the box conceded- 20th
  • Big Chances conceded- 20th
  • xGC- 20th
  • Goals Conceded- 18th

A one-week punt to raise your ranks!

Iliman Ndiaye – £6.5 – 11.1%

FPL GW11 Transfer Targets- Ndiaye

Just like West Ham, Everton also don’t have the best fixtures going forward, but this week presents a great match up for Iliman Ndiaye. He’s playing a Fulham team that has conceded 4 goals from the right wing.

He himself has been in great form this season, at the time of writing he had already scored a goal against Sunderland taking his total to 5 goal contributions (4 goals and 1 assist). He is also 2nd for xGI among Midfielders priced at 7.5 and below this season.

Top Midfielders(<=7.5 million) for Expected Goal Involvement:

  • Enzo- 5.4
  • Ndiaye- 4.8
  • Sarr- 3.8
  • Minteh- 3.5
  • Schade- 3.4
  • Rice- 3.3

He dominates the right wing bombing up and down as seen by his touch map. Ndiaye is also decent for DEFCON as he has achieved it in 3/10 games this season and averages 10.59 DEFCON per 90 minutes.

You can rotate him in the next weeks if you plan to buy him long-term, but this week Ndiaye truly has a brilliant match-up, which he can benefit from.

Stats and Heatmaps from Fantasy Football Hub

Ndiaye was subbed off in the game vs Sunderland in GW10, but Moyes confirmed that it is not serious.

Moyes on Ndiaye: “I don’t think it’s anything serious. I think he picked up a bit of cramp and was worried about it. It was a wonderful goal he scored – and typical Ili. He’s got dancing feet and it was a really good goal.”

Trevoh Chalobah – £5.1 – 7.6%

FPL GW11 Transfer Targets- Chalobah

Chelsea have brilliant fixtures going forward playing starting off in GW11 against WOL(H), BUR(A) in GW12 and then LEE(A) in GW14. Wolves have scored just 7 goals this season, while Burnley have been vulnerable to central players and so are Leeds.

He has 2 goals already this season, he averages 1.08 shots per 90 (60% of his total shots have come from inside the box), has one assist, has got 3 big chances and has hit Defcon threshold 3 times in 9 games. Chalobah averages 9.24 DEFCON/90 which is very close to the threshold for Defenders. Chelsea’s defense has looked improved this season.

Chalobah can be a great differential going forward starting from this week.

FPL GW11 Watchlist

Jean-Philippe Mateta – £7.9 – 23.1%

FPL GW11 Watchlist- Mateta

I had Mateta as a transfer target last week and he scored against Brentford. Crystal Palace’s favorable fixtures (BHA(H), WOL(A), MUN(H), BUR(A) and FUL(A)) coupled with his great form, Mateta can be a great player going ahead.

He has averaged 3.2 shots (1.86 shots on target and 2.58 coming from inside the box), get 1.55 big chances per 90. He has 6 goals this season already and looks to be coming for more.

Key Stat: Mateta is ranked 2nd among Forwards(Only behind Haaland) for all the attacking underlying data- Shots, Shots inside the box, Big Chances, xG and xGI this season.

Adrien Truffert – £4.5 – 2.3%

FPL GW11 Watchlist- Truffert

A player who many had high expectations of coming into the season has only one attacking return till now. He has taken 4 shots, has one assist, given 6 key passes, created one big chance and has crossed the Defcon threshold 3 games in 10 games.

Bournemouth has good run of fixtures coming soon with West Ham, Sunderland, Everton and Aston Villa in the next 5 games. Bournemouth have looked solid defensively(to an extent) and Truffert could benefit from this run of fixtures.

He is also a flying full-back who bombs up and down the wing as you can see by his touch map and heat zone.

Stats and Heatmaps from Fantasy Football Hub

Cody Gakpo – £7.6 – 14.1%

FPL GW11 Watchlist- Gakpo

Liverpool have a good run of fixtures coming up and despite the four losses in a row, they look to find form again. Despite playing Manchester City in GW11, in the next four they make trips to West Ham and Leeds, while hosting Sunderland and Nottingham Forest.

Going forward if you need a mid-priced midfielder, Gakpo can be your guy. In 796 minutes, he has taken 26 shots (with 18 coming from inside the box), has scored 3 goals, provided 2 assists, made 21 key passes and created 5 big chances.

Gakpo Rank among Midfielders this season:

  • Shots- 1st
  • xGI- 4th
  • Goal Involvements- Joint 6th

Do keep a watch on Gakpo going forward.
