Welcome to our FPL GW11 Scout Picks blog! Just one more round of fixtures before the November international break – the last chance to make your move before the season’s final stretch really begins!
Our Scout Picks hit a bit of a block in FPL GW10, with Mbeumo and Semenyo’s blanks hitting us hard. That loss means we’re now sitting at 6.5-3.5 against the Official FPL Scout Picks going into FPL GW11. Time to bounce back, and what better week to do it than this one?!…

FPL GW11 Scout Picks – Goalkeeper

Sanchez (4.8m) gets the nod for FPL GW11 as Chelsea welcome a struggling Wolves side to Stamford Bridge on Sunday evening. Chelsea’s defensive numbers have been quietly impressive this season. They’ve conceded 11 goals from 13.56 xGA, keeping 4 clean sheets in the process.
More importantly, they’re facing a Wolves side who are still searching for their first win of the season and have scored just 7 goals all campaign, joint lowest along with Forest. Wolves’ attacking output has been dire – they rank 18th for xG and have created precious few big chances away from home.
Palmer’s injury looks to have made their attack weaker, but their defense more settled and a home fixture against one of the poorest attacking sides in the league looks like a great time to target to Chelsea keeper! Wolves managed just 1 goal away from home in the league thus far, making this one of the standout fixtures to target defensively this weekend. The Spanish shot-stopper might not be the most popular goalkeeper pick in FPL, but he represents excellent value for those looking to capitalize on Chelsea’s excellent fixture run.

FPL GW11 Scout Picks – Defenders

Our back three this week consists of Munoz (5.7m), Timber (6.1m) and Gabriel (6.6m)…
Surprise surprise, we’ve gone for an Arsenal defense double up again. As much as we’d love to be original, edgy and different, it would be madness to go without two Arsenal defenders considering their ridiculous record so far this season. Arteta’s side have now kept 8 consecutive clean sheets across all competitions, conceding just 3 goals in the Premier League all season. Their 6.57 xGA is the best in the division by some distance, and they look utterly impenetrable at the moment.

Gabriel remains the safest Arsenal defensive pick, having blanked just twice all season heading into GW11. The Brazilian has been a points machine, delivering 3 goal involvements and 6 defensive contributions in his last five matches. In the last five matches, his lowest CBIT total has been 9, only one short of the 10 needed for DC points! His aerial threat from set pieces adds an extra dimension that makes him arguably the most valuable player in FPL right now – only Haaland has scored more points overall.

Timber looks to be the second best option from Arsenal at the moment, and we’ve been picking him for the Scout Picks team for some time now (that’s just how good we are!). The Dutchman offers that little extra attacking threat compared to Saliba, ranking highly for both shots and key passes among defenders. His underlying numbers are exceptional – 1.24 shots/90 and 1.46 key passes/90 illustrate why he’s fast becoming a hot asset in FPL! With Sunderland up next, followed by further favorable fixtures, Timber is fast becoming the second choice Arsenal def asset!
Munoz rounds out the defense with Crystal Palace hosting Brighton in what should be a cracking south coast derby. While clean sheet potential might be limited in this fixture (there have been just two clean sheets in the last 15 meetings between these sides), Munoz offers something different – genuine goal threat from right-back. The Colombian has been Palace’s most consistent attacking defender, registering 1.1 shots/90 and 3.1 touches in the opposition box (per 90) so far this season [fbref]. In spite of the chaos a derby brings, Munoz is a great pick for this weekend.

FPL GW11 Scout Picks – Midfielders

We’ve selected a midfield four of Semenyo (8.1m), Enzo (6.7m), Bruno F (8.9m) and Merino (5.9m) for FPL GW11…
Semenyo naturally keeps his place in the team. The Bournemouth winger has been the highest-scoring midfielder in FPL by some distance this season, and while his form has cooled slightly in recent weeks, he remains an absolute must-have. His 0.51 xGI/90 is exceptional for a midfielder at his price point, and he’s shown time and time again that he can deliver returns even in difficult fixtures. Villa are blowing hot and cold right now, so we decided to put our faith in Semenyo once again for FPL GW11!
Bruno Fernandes makes a return to our Scout Picks team with Manchester United traveling to Tottenham on Saturday lunchtime. The Portuguese maestro has been, as usual, one of United’s most consistent performers this season, central to everything they do going forward. His underlying numbers are impressive – 0.69 xGI/90 – though he has been underperforming those figures so far this campaign.
Spurs at home is actually a fixture to target at the moment. Their home form has been abysmal, with just 1 win at home all season (that being Burnley at home in FPL GW1). United, meanwhile, are starting to find their feet under their new system, ranking 3rd in the league for xG, only marginally behind City and Palace in 2nd and 1st. They’re also in a decent run of form – 3 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss in 5 is pretty good! While there’s a lot of noise around Casemiro and Mbeumo at the moment, Bruno remains on penalties and set pieces, is virtually nailed to play 90 minutes every week and has been racking up the DC points too! With a decent fixture run coming up after this weekend, he looks like an excellent pick.
Enzo joins our midfield for this weekends set of fixtures, coming in as one of two more mid-priced picks… The Argentine has been quietly putting together some great numbers since Palmer’s injury, thriving in a more advanced role for Chelsea. His 0.76 xGI/90 is outstanding for a midfielder at his price, and he actually ranks first among all FPL midfielders for xG this season (that’s a crazy statistic).

Chelsea face Wolves at home in FPL GW11, and this is one of the standout fixtures of the weekend from an attacking perspective. Wolves have conceded 22 goals so far this campaign – more than any other side. Enzo has been getting into the box regularly, and with Palmer still sidelined, he’s likely to remain on penalty duties too. At under 7m, he represents fantastic value, and with Burnley away up next in GW12, this looks like the time to buy…
Finally we have our more radical pick: Arsenal’s Merino. The Spaniard scored twice in the champions league in midweek, starting up front for the gunners in what looked to be somewhat of a throwback to last season. Who can forget Merino’s run of games and goals as the starting striker for Arteta’s side last year! Rice looks like a good long term pick, Saka is one of the only premium mids I would consider, but for this week we’ve gone for Merino.

Gyokeres came of injured in Arsenal’s game against Burnley, and with Havertz and Martinelli still sidelined, it looks like Merino will be going into this fixture against Sunderland as the first choice number 9! There’s no point raking through his underlying stats, as he has not been playing in this position in the league thus far this season, we’re mainly going off his performances there last season (and vibes). Under 6m for Arsenal’s starting striker categorised out of position as a midfielder in FPL? Go on then…

FPL GW11 Scout Picks – Forwards

A front three of Mateta (7.9m), Haaland (14.8m) and Bowen (7.7m) completes the team…
Haaland retains his place in the team and keeps the armband in spite of a tough fixture against Liverpool at home. Look, I know what you’re thinking – Liverpool away isn’t exactly the fixture we’d usually target, but it would be criminal to go without the Robot considering the form he’s in… Haaland has now scored 21 goals across all competitions this season (18 matches), including 13 goals in 10 prem games.
📈🔥Haaland in last 4 home games:
- GW4 vs MUN – ⚽⚽, 13 Points
- GW6 vs BUR – ⚽⚽🅰️, 16 Points
- GW8 vs EVE – ⚽⚽, 13 Points
- GW10 vs BOU – ⚽⚽, 13 Points
The man is simply unstoppable at the moment. I shan’t bore you with his underlying numbers, you know they’re fantastic. Haaland is a must have.

Mateta also keeps his place in the team, having scored and delivered more precious FPL points in FPL GW10. The Frenchman has found the back of the net 5 times in his last six gameweeks, trailing only Haaland and Welbeck for goals scored in that period. His underlying numbers are exceptional, and only Haaland averages more shots than his 3.17.

Palace host Brighton in what should be an open, attacking affair. The Eagles have been excellent at home, unbeaten at Selhurst Park since mid-February, and their attack has really started to click into gear. Mateta is the focal point of everything they do going forward, and with a fixture run that includes Wolves, Burnley, and Fulham after this weekend, he looks like he could soon become ‘essential’. Sarr could be considered if you’re short on forward options, but if you can make space for him, Mateta is surely one to buy!
Finally we have West Ham’s Bowen. I known, I know, West Ham are rubbish, but they’re also facing Burnley this weekend, so can you really blame us for selecting one of their attackers? Bowen is West Ham’s talisman, and if anybody is going to pull them out of the trench they’re in at the moment, it will surely be him!
The Hammers face Burnley at home in FPL GW11, one of the worst sides in the division, and Bowen has been their standout performer all season. The West Ham captain has scored 4 goal involvements in a West Ham side that are ranked very lowly for most attacking stats, a decent haul considering the situation. Bowen is also the only West Ham attacker to play 90 minutes in every game this season and one of only two players across the whole team! Nuno is a pragmatic manager, he surely knows that Bowen is their best player and look to play to his strengths. Burnley are the worst defensive side in the league (particularly poor away from home), so Bowen is definitely one to target this weekend.
