Top FPL GW7 Differential Picks

Bukayo Saka โ€“ Arsenal โ€“ 9.8 Midfielder โ€“ 6.2 % TSB โ€“ย

Top FPL GW7 Differential Picks - Saka
  • Arsenal begin their great run where they face a leaky West Ham, promoted duo Burnley & Sunderland in the next 5 Gameweeks. There will never be a better opportunity to get Saka at such a low ownership for such great fixtures. Saka is now back to match fitness after a decent outing against Newcastle and a goal against Olympiacos in the Champions League.
  • Saka tends to do really well against West Ham and has got 3 Goals and 3 Assists in his last 2 Games against West Ham. Saka takes corners from one side and we all know how West Ham struggle from corners and how well Arsenal defenders do from corners. Saka will also line up against Diouf who tends to bomb forward and leave enough space for Saka to capitalize.
  • Saka has only been limited to 258 minutes this season due to injury. He has scored 1 Goal in that time, had 2 Shots on Target, 5 Shots in the Box, and generated 0.29 xG. He has also played 5 key passes and created 1 Big Chance for his team-mates and got 0.34 xA.
  • West Ham are also ranked in the Bottom 2 for Shots on Target and Shots in the Box, although they should gradually improve under Nuno. Saka, being a world-class player, should, in a matter of time, be a part of FPL template teams.

Nick Woltemade โ€“ Newcastle United โ€“ 7.1 Forward โ€“ 4.6 % TSB โ€“ย

Top FPL GW7 Differential Picks - Woltemade
  • Woltemade has started strongly for Newcastle with 2 Goals in the Premier League and a goal this midweek in the Champions League. Newcastle will now face some easier opponents in the next 5 Gameweeks such as Forest, Brighton, West Ham & Brentford.ย  Woltemade has netted in both his home games so far and will now face a leaky Forest team under Ange.
  • Forest are ranked the Bottom club from attempts from set pieces and 2nd bottom from Headed attempts. This should play into Woltemadeโ€™s hands (head), and considering his height, he could profit this Gameweek.ย
  • Woltemade has 2 Shots on Target, 4 Shots in the Box, 1 Big Chance, and 0.48 xG so far this season. Forest are also in the Bottom 3 for Shots on Target conceded and joint 3rd bottom for Big Chances conceded.

Dan Burn โ€“ Newcastle United โ€“ 5.0 Defender โ€“ 6.5 % TSB โ€“ย

Top FPL GW7 Differential Picks - Dan Burn
  • Newcastle have started very strongly defensively. They have kept the most Clean Sheets (4) so far. They are ranked 2nd best for Non Penalty xGC and xGC, with only Arsenal ahead of them. They are also the 2nd best for Big Chances conceded and Shots in the Box conceded.ย
  • Newcastle will now face some easier opponents in the next 5 Gameweeks, such as Forest, Brighton, West Ham & Brentford, and should add to the clean sheet tally. Forest have only scored 5 Goals, out of which 3 of them were against a weak Brentford team in Gameweek 1. If we exclude that Gameweek, Forest are ranked bottom for Big Chances, Goals, and are in the Bottom 5 for Non Penalty xG and xG.
  • Burn has been the only Newcastle defender who has played all the minutes for Eddie Howeโ€™s side this season (except Pope). In that time, he has hit Defcon 3 times and averaged 9 Defcons per 90 minutes. He has also had 2 Shots in the Box and is a unit in the air. As we mentioned above, Forest are ranked the Bottom club from attempts from set pieces and 2nd bottom from Headed attempts, which could bring a haul for Burn.

Jeremy Doku โ€“ Manchester City โ€“ 6.8 Midfielder โ€“ 6.1 % TSB โ€“ย

Top FPL GW7 Differential Picks - Doku
    • Doku is finally getting a run of consecutive games for City and is showing output from an FPL point of view. Doku has 2 Double Digit hauls in the last 3 Gameweeks and has got 4 Assists, which is the joint most in the League (tied with Grealish and Kudus). Doku is also feeding a confident Haaland who cannot stop scoring, and Manchester City do have some good games coming up.
    • Doku has generated 1.33 xA which is the 4th best in the League. He has created 3 Big Chances and played 12 key passes for his teammates. He also has 4 Shots in the Box and 3 Shots on Target and has generated 0.59 xG. With his mazy runs causing havoc on a regular basis now, expect him to pick up more attacking returns.
    • City will face a leaky Brentford team which is ranked in the Bottom 5 for most defensive metrics and even the games against Everton and Aston Villa will not hold fear in the hearts of Man City attackers. In fact, both Brentford and Aston Villa are in the Bottom 3 for xGC in the League so far.

    Yankuba Minteh โ€“ Brighton โ€“ 5.9 Midfielder โ€“ 2.4 % TSB โ€“ย

Top FPL GW7 Differential Picks - Minteh
    • Minteh seems to be finally adjusting to the League and has started all 6 Games for Brighton this season, and has played 90 minutes 4 times this season. His last 4 scores of 4, 6, 9, and 5 points shows his consistency and multiple avenues to points. He has 1 Goal and 2 Assists and has also got 2 Defcon points. He averages close to 8 Defcons per 90.
    • Mintehโ€™s stats also look great with 10 Shots in the Box, 3 Shots on Target, 2 Big Chances, and 1.6 xG. He has also created 3 Big chances and played 8 key passes for his teammates. He has also generated 0.99 xA and looks to be an all-around solid pick.
    • Wolves also rank 18th for Non-Penalty xGC and Goals conceded. They are 1 of 4 teams who have failed to keep a Clean Sheet in the League so far and look defensively shaky, which could help Minteh continue his great run of form.

Ultra Differential Pick for FPL GW7 (Under 1 % Ownership)

    Emiliano Buendia โ€“ Aston Villa โ€“ 5.3 Midfielder –ย  0.1 % TSB โ€“ย

Top FPL GW7 Ultra Differential Pick - Buendia
    • Buendia has been getting more minutes recently and has started 3 games so far this season. In the last game, he came on at half time and changed the game for Villa with a Goal and an Assist. He has decent underlying stats with 5 Shots in the Box, 1 Shot on Target, 1 Big Chance, and 0.88 xG. He also has an xA of 0.5 and has played 6 key passes for his teammates.ย
    • Buendia is great at bonus points and even takes corners when on the pitch. He is however, a 1 week punt, as Villaโ€™s fixtures toughen up from next gameweek.
    • Aston Villa will play a Burnley side who are top for Shots conceded, Shots in the Box conceded, Shots on Target conceded, Non Penalty xGC, and xGC. Burnley have also conceded the 2nd most Big Chances in the League so far. This could be a great week for your Villa attackers.
