FPL GW7 Wildcard Guide
Pros & Cons of Wildcarding in FPL GW7:

Pros of FPL GW7 Wildcard:
- Invest in Arsenal’s defensive assets with their favorable run of fixtures between GW7 and GW11

- Jump on high-performing assets from teams like Crystal Palace and Man City
- Move on from attacking full backs to cheap DEFCON monsters like Senesi, Andersen, Richards if you already haven’t done that.
- Buy subs that have good fixtures in GW8 to use Bench Boost (see below).
- Bring in high-scoring players with low TSB, like Sarr, Lacroix, Alderete, Thiago, etc.
Cons of FPL GW7 Wildcard:
- There is a fixture swing from GW13 for many teams- That could be another potential Wildcard window.
- GW8 may be a better option to use your Wildcard as it is set after the second international break.
- Postponing to GW8 can also help managers capitalize on Chelsea(Chelsea play Liverpool in GW7) and Leeds’ easier run of fixtures from GW8 onwards, along with other teams like Arsenal’s and Newcastle’s.

- Can hold on to a pick like Watkins who has Burnley(H) this week before offloading him a week later.
Players to Target on FPL GW7 Wildcard:
Goalkeepers: Raya, Donnarumma, Pope, Dubravka, Henderson, Vicario
Defenders: Gabriel, Gvardiol, Senesi, Burn, Van de Ven, Lacroix/Guehi/Richards, Gudmundsson/Rodon (4.0), Alderete(4.0), Tyrick Mitchell, Timber

FPL GW7 Wildcard Drafts
FPL GW7 Wildcard Draft 1 (GW8 Bench Boost):

- Arsenal have continued to display defensive prowess this season, tied with Crystal Palace for the fewest goals conceded (3) so far this term.
- The Gunners have conceded the fewest big chances (3) as well, and with a rather easy run of fixtures between GW7 and GW11, we have selected Raya in goal and Gabriel in defense.
- Saka is back from his hamstring injury, and with matches against West Ham, Fulham, and Burnley coming up for the Gunners, the Englishman has the chance to get back to scoring form.
- Crystal Palace have boasted an excellent defensive record as well this season, winning the most tackles (79) and conceding 3 goals. They’ve been in great form under Oliver Glasner, and Guehi/Richards and Sarr could be very beneficial for team managers from GW7 onwards.
- Sarr scored 2 goals in his first 3 games for Palace, then was sidelined due to injury before returning with another goal in their 2-1 win over Liverpool last weekend.
Sarr Stats per 90 among Midfielders(Rank among Midfielders)
- Big Chances- 1.04 (1st)
- xG- 0.72 (1st)
- Goals Scored- 0.78 (1st)
- FPL Points- 7.57 (1st)
- Senesi, Semenyo, and Haaland are obvious choices for both drafts, being the highest-scoring players in their respective positions.
- Although Joao Pedro has scored only two points each in his last two games, with Cole Palmer out for 3 weeks, the Brazilian is expected to take over as Chelsea’s primary attacker and return to form.
- As you can see above, the Bench’s GW8 fixtures represent a great opportunity to use the Bench Boost and gain some extra points.
- Sunderland are playing Wolves, who are dead last in the league. Alderete is one of the highest scoring defenders this season, and Xhaka has the 3rd highest DEFCON at 76.

FPL GW7 Wildcard Draft 2 (without Bench Boost)

- In this draft, we have selected Pope + Roefs in the goalkeeper position, a potentially highly fruitful combination. Should you choose this draft, your goalkeeper will have a home game every week for the rest of the season.
- The defense is somewhat similar to that of the previous draft, with a few changes. Gabriel and Senesi remain constant, while Lacroix has been selected over Guehi, having registered 60 DEFCON. (Richards can be considered as well, with 64 DEFCON under his belt).
Top Defenders for DEFCON this season:

- Spurs face Leeds, Villa, and Everton in their next 3 fixtures, making Van de Ven (4.8) a very viable option.
- Rodon is a great budget defender as well, with Leeds set to face Burnley, West Ham, Brighton, and Forest after their game against Spurs in GW7.
- Bruno Fernandes has been selected as the premium midfield option. He has the 2nd-highest ICT index (52.8) behind Haaland, showing that the Man Utd midfielder continues to possess some of the highest point-scoring potential this season as well.
- Thanks to Arsenal’s upcoming fixtures, Gyokeres and Rice have high chances of scoring big points.
- Gravenberch has scored the highest bonus points (7) of any midfielder in FPL this season. He’s scored a goal and provided 2 assists in his last 2 games for Liverpool.
- Reijnders (5.8) offers great value for his price, averaging nearly 5 points per game.
